I visited the Ebisu Beer shop for the second time and had a beer and some water eggplant as a snack. The quality was consistent and delicious. If I had gone to this place first, my choices might have been different, so I might want to visit here first next time. The only downside is that the closing time is early. [YEBISU BAR Whity Umeda Store] For those who love hearty meat dishes, I recommend the Triple Hamburger ♡ You can also enjoy draft YEBISU beer for a daytime drink. I visited around 12 PM on a weekday. I was able to enter smoothly! I ordered the Triple Hamburger with a choice of sauce for ¥1800 ✨ The sauce options were Honey Mustard, Demi-glace, Onion, Grated Radish with Pepper, Tomato & Cheese, Teriyaki, Mustard Mayo, Double Cheese, Garlic Butter, Green Onion Salt, and Mentaiko Cream ☺ I chose Double Cheese, Green Onion Salt, and Mentaiko Cream. You can choose a side of salad, rice, or bread with the set. I thought the hamburgers might be a bit small, but they were actually normal-sized hamburgers x3 (ﾟдﾟ)! When I looked closely, it did say 110g x 3 each haha. The hamburgers were fluffy and went well with all the sauces ✨ If it wasn't during my work break, I would have definitely had a beer!

Second visit! First time visiting at night! I didn't make a reservation, so I gave myself 1 hour! I checked the menu in advance, so I ordered a platter of 3 appetizers, Genghis Khan, and grilled edamame! For drinks, I had a 50/50 mix of beers, starting with a draft Ebisu! The Genghis Khan dish was surprisingly delicious and went well with the beer! For my second drink, I had a premium Ebisu! I forgot to take a picture of the beers! It was packed on a Friday night and very lively! Next time, I'll make a reservation and enjoy a leisurely meal!

On December 5th, it was NOMOKA's 3rd anniversary at Whity's NOMOKA, so before heading to the Craft Beer Market's anniversary eve party, I thought, "Maybe also check out the Ebisu Bar?" And when I peeked in, they were having a great event! It's actually the same day as NOMOKA's opening anniversary, so it makes sense. I finally got to try the Hop Terroir and Ebisu Meister beers – both were amazing, but the Hop Terroir stood out as my favorite. It was only 390 yen (tax included) for a glass due to the 3rd anniversary pre-party, so I didn't hesitate to order. I spent about 30 minutes there, and noticed some customers being turned away due to the place being crowded. It seems like cheap prices are always popular! Some people were like me, enjoying beer and snacks, while others were having a full meal with their drinks. I was surprised by the relatively high average spending per customer. They don't seem to offer the all-you-can-drink option they used to, but I hope they bring it back in the future.

After confirming which places I have not visited yet, I realize that Yebisu Bar is still on the list, so I decide to visit. I remember when Yebisu Bar first opened in Umeda, it was quite rare, and I vaguely recall that they didn't have a lunch menu back then. Now (although in a different location), they have a lunch menu, and I opt for the Hamburg Lunch (single) for a reasonable price of 715 yen. However, I notice a tsukemen (dipping noodles) menu and I'm torn. Why do I have to eat tsukemen at Yebisu Bar? I don't have to, but the curiosity lingers, and I end up ordering it. It costs 990 yen, much more than the Hamburg. When I enter, there are no other customers, and the food is promptly prepared and served. The tsukemen looks impressive with a large piece of char siu on top. The quality is unexpectedly high for a non-specialty store. The broth is flavorful yet not overpowering, the noodles are of good quality, and the char siu is excellent. It's surprising how much effort goes into preparing tsukemen at a place like this. The mystery remains as to why they go to such lengths. Sapporo Lion, the parent company, doesn't seem to specialize in tsukemen, and there are no ramen shops in Whity Umeda's NOMOKA. I am addicted to fruity beer and went to YEBISU Bar with my mother, who also loves it. We bought the slightly expensive but delicious Ebisu beer in cans. This time, we decided to do a beer tasting. We started with the Ebisu beer (550 yen) to confirm the regular taste before the tasting. The pouring technique or the strong commitment of the Ebisu beer specialty store made it taste much better than normal canned beer. We were already satisfied with just that, but decided to enjoy it with some food. We ordered a selection of 3 cold appetizers (850 yen) with Nara pickles & cream cheese and smoked duck pastrami. The combination of Nara pickles & cream cheese was our favorite. We also ordered the grilled beef harami (980 yen), which was a perfect match for the beer. The harami was tender and full of flavor. Now, it was time for the beer tasting. We chose a 2-beer tasting set (530 yen) with Ebisu Meister and Amber Ebisu. The Amber Ebisu had a darker color and a mellow and deep flavor, which I preferred. My mother chose the Curtain Call (650 yen), a blend of Ebisu beer and creamy top stout, which was rich and creamy. We also ordered a sirloin steak (1110 yen) and Uwajima salmon sashimi (880 yen), both of which paired well with the beer. We thoroughly enjoyed the beer and food, even though we were a bit rushed towards the end. Next time, we want to relax and enjoy it more slowly!

In the bustling Osaka Station area, many new restaurants are hard to come by these days, but I decided to try something new at Whity Umeda. I tried their recommended dish, the "Sirloin Steak 150g with extra rice" at a special price until January 31st. The steak sizzles on the hot plate as it is brought to your table. It may start off pink and medium rare, but quickly cooks through. Despite not being very thick, it is easy to chew and doesn't leave your jaw sore. The steak has a good amount of volume, and the extra rice portion is just right. Surprisingly, even though it's a dining bar, the rice was cooked perfectly and delicious. I was impressed. I would like to try their hamburger, beef stew, and omurice next time! They also have a mask pocket for temporarily storing your mask, showing good measures for preventing close contact. On January 16, under the state of emergency due to the spread of the new coronavirus, I cautiously went out to attend Katsura Kichiya's solo performance, for which I had purchased tickets in advance. Despite the high price and unique appearance, people often expect something different, but this special beer stays true to the essence of Ebisu beer, focusing on pursuing deliciousness. The essence of beer lies in its "bitterness," "richness," and "aroma." Many manufacturers sell light beers that are easy to drink, but they deviate from the essence of beer, such as its smoothness and crispness. In Japan, Ebisu (and recently craft beer companies) is the only one that doesn't stray from the essence of 100% malt. The aroma of Royal Leaf is more wonderful than any other beer, and the richness of malt itself is strong and delicious. There is no other beer as beautiful and delicious as this. So, I decided to revisit this place. It was a Saturday, so it was bustling, but there were seats available at the counter. I had already decided what to order: - Ebisu and Food Pairing Tour (1,980 yen excluding tax): A set of different Ebisu beers with matching appetizers. The set included Ebisu Beer, Ebisu Premium Black, Ebisu Meister, Amber Ebisu, and Ebisu Stout Creamy Top. Each beer was paired with a specific appetizer like octopus marinated with the first beer, gorgonzola with the second, smoked scallops with the third, Lyon sausage with the fourth, and chocolate with the fifth. Although I could have easily finished all the beers at once, I decided to savor each one. My personal ranking was Ebisu Beer, Ebisu Stout Creamy Top, and Amber Ebisu. I realized that there's nothing better than the regular Ebisu Beer. The Ebisu Stout was smooth and had a mellow mouthfeel, making it a high-quality beer. I also enjoyed the strong bitterness of the Amber Ebisu. After finishing all the beers, I had another glass of regular Ebisu Beer to end the day. I finally visited Whity Umeda for the first time after its renovation. Nomo-ka is the new bar district! There are so many lunch options lined up that it's hard to choose. Well, for the second stop, I went to Whity Umeda because I heard it had been renovated (I had no idea lol) so I decided to take a stroll! Whity Umeda looks really nice now- oh, there's a YEBISU BAR! Perfect- since I'm already full, I ordered a regular beer, while my friend got an amber beer. We also ordered a set of three appetizers. They came on a cute afternoon tea-like tray, so photogenic! The beer was really good, with creamy foam. Oh, and they're having a special event where you can draw a lottery ticket. I got a consolation prize and my friend got a 500 yen discount coupon. The MyRebi group has been conquering the newly renovated "Spring Square" one after another, and they look like they're having so much fun♡ I really want to go! The "Spring Square" has transformed into an underground food court called "NOMOKA" where many food and drink establishments are gathered. On this day, after visiting "Tako to Highball," we came to the second stop, "YEBISU BAR," a specialty store for Sapporo YEBISU beer! There are 6 types of YEBISU beer available for you to enjoy and compare. I personally prefer the "YEBISU Maestro"... Cheers!!! This beer is so delicious, with a deep and rich flavor.
