As my birthday was approaching, I decided to treat myself to a meal at Etchu-ya as a present. I made a reservation a month in advance for 7 o'clock. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, and it was always full with customers coming and going. The display case in front of me was filled with delicious looking dishes. I started with a beer and was served a starter of snow crab with ponzu jelly and octopus with small taro. I love snow crab! The octopus was so tender. I also ordered the grilled eel, which was recommended by others, and debated what else to get. There was a paper on the wall listing a fish tataki with lots of onions. Should we get that too? The chef suggested, "How about half and half?" and we agreed. Throughout the meal, he subtly observed our reactions and made recommendations. I tried four different types of cold sake (4 cups) as well. For sashimi, I asked for white fish. It was my first time trying raw conger eel! The texture was different from regular fish, and you could taste the fat as you chewed. The filefish with liver was amazing! I forgot to take a picture of the tataki! The eel had a crispy skin! I wish I had ordered one plate for myself. Let's move on to the sushi! I decided to go for the chef's choice of 5 pieces. What will come out next? The squid had sea urchin on top! The sushi rice had red vinegar? Each plate came out separately. Oh, and a sweet egg omelette was served as a snack. The medium fatty tuna and conger eel were delicious! I came here determined to indulge in sushi, so I ordered more dishes. The scallop marinated in soy sauce was irresistible! It was served seared and wrapped in seaweed. This was a proper dish! The red miso soup had tuna belly? in it. Maybe regular fish head miso soup would have been better for me? The steamed egg custard had plenty of ingredients, but the seasoning was a bit strong for my taste. The fatty tuna roll and crispy eel roll had soft wraps that were about to fall apart. By this point, I was already full, but I kept thinking I could eat 100 of these tuna rolls! The homemade pickled water eggplant was also served, and the total bill came to a little over 7000 yen per person. I would love to visit this restaurant again to try more seasonal fish. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I made a reservation for my friend's birthday. It was my first visit in a while. We toasted with shochu highballs. We ordered a sashimi platter, kaki ponzu, and assorted sushi, among other dishes. The food here is so delicious that I end up drinking too much. Every bite is so tasty! The toro tataki and eel crispy roll were the last dishes we had. The toro tataki melted in my mouth with a crispy texture, and the eel crispy roll had a fragrant and incredibly delicious eel. I ate and drank too much again today. Eating delicious food really makes me feel happy. Thank you for the meal!

It is becoming increasingly difficult to make reservations here as well :(;゙゚'ω゚'): I hope it doesn't become any more popular, haha. Finally, after about 5 months, I made a surprise visit. I received the following dishes! ☆ Cheers with plum wine soda♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪ ☆ Flounder and raw anago sashimi... The fresh flounder with its umami and firm texture, and the intense texture of the raw anago are amazing!!! Bravo♪ The freshness of the raw anago is what makes it special! It's a gem that you can't taste through the usual channels. ☆ Rock oyster with ponzu sauce... Amazing volume and cost performance! The rich milky umami with the refreshing ponzu jelly is a perfect match. The juicy texture is also outstanding. ☆ Grilled eel... Crispy skin with a fragrant aroma and dripping umami♡ I understand why it sells out after 7 pm, it's so delicious! And only 800 yen!!! I can't help but laugh. ☆ Kesennuma bonito tataki... The concentrated umami of the fat, thick yet chewy texture is exquisite!!! I am very satisfied with the delicious bonito after a long time. Nigiri (Omakase 5 pieces for 1,300 yen) ☆ Topped with squid and sea urchin... The finely cut squid with a good bite, but the sea urchin this time had a slightly chemical taste, which is disappointing! ☆ Awaji sea eel with plum meat... The high-quality, fatty meat with the refreshing aroma of plum meat is soothing. It is mild but conveys a deep flavor. ☆ Sweet shrimp with kelp press... By pressing with kelp, the umami is condensed, and the sticky texture and sweetness of the flesh with the balance of the shari is excellent. Separate order☆ Crispy eel roll... This is a specialty! The crispy aroma of the seaweed and the hot crispy grilled eel! It's already the best (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ ☆ Tuna (salted)... The fat is moderate, melting gently in the mouth, conveying the umami of tuna. It's fresh, refreshing, and delicious!!! ☆ Simmered anago... Plump and tender texture! There is no unpleasant smell because of the good freshness, it's delicious. ☆ Sweet and unsweetened egg... This time, they prepared this while waiting for the order. Both can be satisfying. ☆ Ainame's simmered fish... I ate this because it was recommended as the highlight of the simmered fish. The elegant, sweet and salty simmered broth clings to the flesh! The fat is good, and despite being mild, the umami is wonderful. Nigiri (Omakase 5 pieces for 1,300 yen) Repeat☆ Flounder marinated in kelp... The firmness of the flesh, the elastic chewy texture with the kelp umami component and aroma soaked in, is delicious. ☆ Horse mackerel... Today's No.1! The refreshing scent of the horse mackerel, the superbly bouncy texture, and the harmony of fat and shari's acidity are amazing (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ The accent of ginger is also nice. ☆ Sardine... Good fat content, good compatibility with shari. ☆ Marinated tuna (Sakaiminato)... A marinated tuna with a smooth and rich flavor, where you can feel the good freshness. ☆ Minami maguro's seared toro... The juicy, superb umami brings a smile to your face (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ Additional nigiri... Ikura and sea urchin, I want to come here once every two months ===========

I have been visiting Koshinoya for over half a year now, going about twice a month. Every time I go, I am impressed by the chef's hospitality, the attentive service of the staff, and most importantly, the delicious appetizers and sushi. The cost performance is excellent, making me want to visit again and again. On this day, I enjoyed thinly sliced raw kawahagi and kochi, as well as grilled tachiuo. The nigiri sushi, from kohada to uni, was all delicious. I finished with homemade ice cream for dessert and made sure to make a reservation for my next visit before leaving. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

On this day, I headed to the station called Tenjachaya, which is served by the Nankai Main Line and the Subway Sakaisuji Line. The goal for today's meal is sushi! I happened to stumble upon a hidden gem in Tenjachaya called "Etchu-ya," a restaurant that exudes history. As I entered, I was greeted by a counter filled with fresh sushi ingredients. Despite appearing small from the outside, the restaurant was surprisingly spacious inside. I decided to order a bottle of beer - they had Kirin, Sapporo, and Asahi. Looking at the menu, I wanted to try everything, but realized it was too much, so I carefully selected a few items: - Fists and Bai Clams - 1000 yen - Konbu-shime Koji and Flatfish - 800 yen - Sardine Sashimi - 450 yen - Tamagoyaki - Eel Shiro-yaki - 800 yen Nigiri Sushi: - Recommended Nigiri Sushi Set (5 pieces) - 1300 yen (Pike conger, Squid, Alfonsino, Tuna, Eel) - Engawa - 300 yen - Kohada - 200 yen - Horse Mackerel - 150 yen - Kue - 300 yen - Salmon Roe - 300 yen - Blackthroat Seaperch - 500 yen - Sea Urchin - 400 yen - Clam - 500 yen - Kanpachi Belly - 200 yen - Tekka Maki - 400 yen - Negitoro Maki - 800 yen Each item was exquisite, and before I knew it, I was stuffed. The sushi rice was seasoned with red vinegar, which enhanced the umami of the toppings and had a perfect size. The tuna had a nice stickiness and richness without being too fatty. The Kanpachi belly had a crispy texture, a fatty sweetness, and a pleasant aroma - it was my first time tasting such delicious Kanpachi. The grilled eel had a crispy skin, tender flesh, and a perfect balance of saltiness. I highly recommend it! The Konbu-shime Koji and Flatfish had a great texture and the konbu-shime brought out the umami and aroma even more. There were other items that caught my interest, and I was very satisfied with the prices. I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to Tarojiro in Minami for some light tempura and drinks, and then headed to Tennoji on the Sakaisuji Line. We made a reservation at Koshinoya and arrived at 7 pm. The unexpected combination of members surprised the regulars, which was cute. We followed the beer rule when changing restaurants and cheered with a toast. We looked at the menu and each ordered what we wanted to eat. That's the beauty of casual sushi places. Here's what we had: [Food] - Grilled rock oysters: 1300 yen - Grilled fugu shirako: 1000 yen - Rockfish tataki: 450 yen - Thinly sliced rockfish and raw conger eel: 1500 yen - Grilled pike conger with plum meat: 1000 yen - Grilled bonito tuna collar: 1200 yen - Raw baby eel: 650 yen - Grilled silver fish: price unknown - Grilled shellfish assortment: price unknown [Nigiri] - Squid cartilage: 150 yen - Black rockfish: 150 yen - Raw sardine: 150 yen - Cutlassfish: 200 yen - Tekka maki: 400 yen - Clam: 500 yen [Drinks] - Sapporo Lager (large bottle): 600 yen - Tateyama special junmai sake (180cc): 400 yen each That day we focused on the food and drank a lot of Tateyama sake. The huge grilled rock oysters, creamy fugu shirako, delicious rockfish tataki, and the raw conger eel were all amazing. The nigiri sushi was also great, especially the raw sardine. However, the rice was a bit too firm this time, which was slightly different from usual. In total, we spent around 9000 yen. I'll definitely make a reservation and come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Last time, I quickly climbed the ladder halfway, of course, incomplete combustion ✨ I want to go all out here ✨ I made a reservation for the first time in six months and went there with excitement! I'll tell you the truth! The sushi here is amazing (*´д`*)ハァハァ(*´д`*)ハァハァ Well, you're a drinker, so I just want to order sushi forever ✨ Seriously, I only ordered sushi dishesヾ(≧▽≦)ノギャハハ I avenged my last enemy ✨ I also ordered some sushi dishes, starting from the top right of the sushi menu, and when I was full, I stopped ordering. Later on, Kazuki came and said, "Let's go to a different seat!" pointing to the counter! Haha, I thought Kazuki was going to accompany me for a sushi feast, but it turned out to be a dish feast? You really have no reservations when it comes to other people's treats! Haha♪( ̄▽+ ̄*) Of course! I had a great time!! Everyone ordered their favorite dishes as much as they wanted, and even took home some inarizushi as a souvenir, all for just 9000 yen per person! It's a fantastic deal! (ㅇㅁㅇ) Amazing restaurant! ✨! ✨! If I were to rate it, the sushi would be 3.8, the service of the head chef and the hostess would be 3.9, and the value for money would be 4.0, so I settled on 3.9✨✨✨✨ I went there for the first time in November when I was invited by Iwata, and it seems like he has been going there every month since then, but he couldn't make it this time due to feeling unwell. He asked me to make a reservation for him next month. Haha! I understand - it's a place you want to come to every month, or even every week! It's a down-to-earth place, but the quality is way above your average restaurant in Kitano or Minami. Maa-kun has been hanging out at Kitano's Tadanaka and Minami's Higuchi recently, and he's practically only been to Koshu-ya! Satchan was also very satisfied\(^o^)/\(^o^)/ Kazuki even said he wanted to bring his newly-made girlfriend here and asked me to send him the account details! Haha! It's a great restaurant, comparable to high-end places, and if the sushi was a bit higher quality, oh! Don't get me wrong! It's not that the quality is low, but for that price, with that quality, it's the best content! ✨ Minami and Kitano's restaurants charge three times as much as Koshu-ya, so for one-third of that price, you get this level of quality‹‹\(´ω` ‹‹\( ´ω`)/››~♪✨ It's really an amazing restaurant! If it were closer, I'd want to go there once a week ❤️

I went after a long time. The place was packed with people who made reservations as soon as it opened on Sunday. It's a super popular restaurant. The head chef is friendly and the 5 staff members work efficiently. It was a special anniversary dinner, so I didn't take many photos and just enjoyed the meal. I went for sushi, but was a bit disappointed with the small portion of fish. The best dish of the day was the thinly sliced flounder. Having Sapporo Lager was a relief. I'm sorry for the harsh rating. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a sushi restaurant at Tenkacha that I had been checking out for a while. My wife and I made a reservation and went to check it out. The restaurant is open from 5 pm to 9 pm with a 2-hour turnover system. Inside, there are two counter seats and two table seats. We were seated at the counter and asked for our drink order. I chose Sapporo beer, which came in a large bottle with a glass. While sipping on my beer, we started with bonito tataki, a sashimi platter of three white fish (kawahagi, anago, ishidai), grilled eel, followed by five pieces of nigiri sushi (ken-saki squid, konoshiro, anago, sweet shrimp, chutoro), with additional scallop and golden eye snapper nigiri, crispy grilled eel roll, toro tekka roll, chawanmushi, and red miso soup. We also had 4 cups of cold sake and 1 glass of shochu with water. The sushi was all expertly prepared, and we enjoyed them without needing to dip them in soy sauce. The quality was comparable to high-end sushi restaurants in Shinchi. While looking at the menu and chatting, the head chef gave us some thoughtful advice, showing great care for the customers. When we received the bill, we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to a town sushi restaurant in Osaka. In Tenjinbashi Rokuchome, there are famous town sushi restaurants called the Three Great Families of Town Sushi (Harukoma and Yatsu Sushi Masashi). However, they have become more expensive, crowded, and like onigiri due to catering to inbound tourists and visitors, compared to the past. In the midst of this, I found a cheap and delicious town sushi restaurant near Tenkachaya Station and decided to check it out. The area around the station is surprisingly clean and the restaurant is located in a residential area about a 5-minute walk away. The place was constantly busy with customers. The interior of the restaurant seemed to have been renovated and was quite clean. Be sure to order wisely as there are still seasonal items like fugu shirako available (my companion ended up ordering it...^^;). Also, even if the menu lists some sake as dry, they tend to be on the sweeter side. The appetizers are all gently seasoned and enjoyable. They even offered complimentary tamago as an apology for the wait, but it seemed like a service for all customers? The nigiri sushi ranges from 100 to 600 yen per piece, and the omakase set of 5 pieces for 1300 yen is recommended. The omakase set is well-balanced with luxurious items like chu-toro for 400 yen per piece and above. Drinking and eating here would cost around 6000 yen per person. The cutting and shaping of the sushi is typical of town sushi, ensuring that it won't fall apart in your mouth. The quality here is higher than the town sushi restaurants in Tenroku, and the variety of appetizers is impressive. I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

At Tenkacha, when it comes to sushi restaurants, Etchu-ya is a local sushi restaurant. The ingredients and dishes are carefully prepared and very delicious. The owner is very friendly, maybe the wife? The atmosphere created by the female staff is also very nice. Personally, among the local sushi restaurants, this is my favorite place. I visit regularly.

There were plenty of appetizers, and the owner was friendly and kind. Of course, the sushi was all made just the way we like it, and we were completely satisfied! There were some rare cuts that we really enjoyed! Thank you very much!

I was able to make a reservation at Yuchuya and visited. I was surprised when I visited. It was full, and it remained full even after I entered. The hospitality of the owner was wonderful, and the sushi was delicious and reasonably priced. The actual amount I paid was surprisingly cheap. I would like to visit again.

We were enchanted by the deliciousness, cozy atmosphere, and fantastic cost performance of this place last time! This time, we decided to visit with our family. ☆Sake - Sake Ho no Chi Junmai Sake: A lychee-like aroma, a refreshing acidity that makes it easy to drink and hard to resist. ☆Kaki Pons: Wakame, cucumber, and plump, fresh oysters with a rich flavor, topped with ponzu jelly - absolutely divine! ☆Sawara Tataki: Crispy and fragrant skin, thick and perfectly medium-rare flesh - incredibly delicious! ☆Sweet Tamago Side Dish: Today's treat was sweet tamago - a slightly chewy version that was delightful. ☆Unagi Shiro-yaki: Crispy, fragrant skin with dripping umami - it's no wonder it sells out after 7 pm. And for only 800 yen! It's laughably good. ☆Sashimi Platter (from front to back: raw anago, flounder, kawahagi, houbou): All incredibly fresh, but the crunchy texture and sweetness of the raw anago stand out. And the premium liver that came separately was abundant - pure bliss. ☆Tara Shirako Shoyu-yaki: The savory aroma of soy sauce, the melting texture on the tongue - irresistible! ☆Nigiri Sushi (Chef's choice 5 pieces for 1,300 yen) - Ikura Uni: Finely cut squid with a crisp bite, paired with rich and sweet uni - a perfect combination! - Maguro Zuke (from Katsuura): The firm and moist flesh, enhanced by soy sauce, pairs excellently with red vinegar rice. - Chutoro (from Nagasaki): The richness of the red flesh combined with the sweet flavor of the fat - a classic deliciousness. - Tachiuo: Visually stunning medium-rare, incredibly delicious with a rich fat flavor. - Anago Nitsuke: Melting texture with no noticeable bones, just the right temperature. - Nishin no Shoyu Koji-yaki: Not on the menu, a special dish for regulars - the harmony of fatty flesh and the savory aroma of soy sauce is exquisite. ☆Unagi Paripari Maki: A long-awaited dish! Crispy seaweed flavor, hot and crispy grilled eel - simply the best. Additional Nigiri Sushi: - Kuruma Ebi: The perfect medium-rare texture brings out the sweetness, creating a wonderful unity with the shari and vinegar rice. - Engawa: Sold out last time! The delightful crunchy texture is perfect and full of umami. - Hokkaido Uni: Considering the quality of the shari and seaweed, the cost performance is incredible. The sweetness and seaweed flavor are excellent and very satisfying. - Fish Red Miso Soup (Houbou): Thank goodness for being Japanese - the red miso soup made with great care brings happiness. This time, the total for three people was 16,000 yen! You can experience mouth-watering bliss for as low as 6,000 yen per person.

Due to various circumstances, I couldn't visit for about half a year, but I'm still coming regularly. As always, this place is amazing in terms of taste, cost performance, atmosphere, service, etc. The shari at Koshunoya is just divine. I realized this when I tried sushi at other restaurants. The quality of the ingredients is also top-notch. Especially the blue fish is delicious!! But the omakase set of 5 pieces for ¥1300 is seriously too good of a deal!! I highly recommend it!! However, it seems like the popularity of this place has been increasing lately, as I see more young customers. It's great that it's becoming popular, but I hope the chef doesn't overwork himself. I want to keep eating sushi here forever... Anyway, if you want to eat sushi affordably in Osaka, Koshunoya is the place to go. I'll be back again soon ♡ Thank you for the meal ☆ 21st visit 2022.6.16 by Katsuo no Maru-san 22nd visit 2022.12.17 after a long time due to various circumstances 23rd visit 2023.1.29 the high percentage of young people visiting, lol

Today, I visited Koshuchuya after a long time. The last time I came here was about a year ago. A few days before going to the restaurant, I started feeling excited and looking forward to it. I arrived at the reserved time of 7:30 pm. The restaurant was full, showing its popularity. The friendly master and hostess welcomed us with a smile. Let's start with a toast with a Tribie! We ordered what we wanted to eat in the order we wanted to eat it, as much as we wanted, in an omakase style. Here is what we ordered: [Food] - Thinly sliced skin and sea bream of kawahagi and tai (1500 yen) - Ankimo (monkfish liver) miso pickled (600 yen) - Grilled eel (800 yen x 2) - Grilled sardine (400 yen) - Recommended nigiri sushi set of 5 pieces (1300 yen) - Mackerel (150 yen), herring roe (200 yen), cucumber roll with wasabi (200 yen) - Oysters (400 yen) - Clam (400 yen) [Drinks] - Sapporo Lager large bottle (600 yen) - Tateyama Ginrei 180ml (400 yen x 3) The thinly sliced skin and sea bream of kawahagi and tai were delicious, each with its own unique flavor and texture. The ankimo miso pickled was rich and flavorful. The grilled eel had a crispy exterior and a light taste. The grilled sardine was a delightful surprise, with a slightly seared surface and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The nigiri sushi set was a highlight, with perfectly balanced flavors and textures. The sardine, mackerel, and herring roe were all delicious. The oysters were large and juicy, a real treat. The grilled mackerel was a standout, with a perfect balance of flavors. The meal was satisfying, and the bill was less than 6000 yen. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience at Koshuchuya. I look forward to coming back again soon. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Delicious sushi is what I wanted, so I made a reservation through M-san, a gourmet from Mie Prefecture. Here's what I had: - Kaki Ponsu: A combination of wakame, cucumber, and plump, fresh oysters with a rich flavor, topped with ponzu jelly. Absolutely delightful! - Thinly sliced sashimi platter (flounder, raw conger eel, cold mackerel, sea snail): All incredibly fresh, especially the firm texture and sweetness of the raw conger eel. The cold mackerel is light but with a nice amount of fat, and the sea snail is a must-have this season, with its exquisite liver. - Grilled cod milt with soy sauce: A delicious combination of soy sauce aroma and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the cod milt. - Red clam and jellyfish vinegar dish: A refreshing dish to cleanse the palate. - Miso-marinated herring: A special dish not on the menu, with a harmonious blend of fatty herring and miso that is incredibly smooth and delicious. - Sake: Sake with a lychee-like aroma and a refreshing acidity that goes down easily. - Sea urchin appetizer: A visually stunning dish with sweet sea urchin, squid, and flavorful seaweed, perfect as an appetizer. - Sushi (omakase 5 pieces for 1,300 yen): Each piece, from the red snapper from Kata to the premium salted bluefin tuna, is of such high quality that it rivals sushi from top-tier restaurants. - Sweet shrimp marinated in kelp: The sweet shrimp's rich sweetness with the deep flavor of kelp is like a red gem bringing happiness. - Small skin fish: The perfect balance of vinegar and salt, complementing the sushi rice well. - Seared horse mackerel: A rich and fatty delight that is incredibly delicious. - Additional sushi: - Hokkaido sea urchin: High-quality sea urchin from Hokkaido, unmatched in flavor and quality even compared to higher-priced options. - Seared young fish: A perfect medium-rare texture with an overwhelming umami flavor. - Simmered sardine: A hearty fish with a rich broth, although I only had a small portion this time because I wanted more sushi. The additional sushi was a great value for the quality, and I left feeling satisfied and happy.

I had been curious about this place for a long time, but never had the chance to visit until now. This time, I was invited by a close female reviewer friend to visit together. Location/Interior: Contrary to my initial image of a "cluttered place" and a "noisy interior" for a sushi restaurant in Nishinari, the restaurant had a stylish exterior along the main street and a warm and gentle atmosphere inside. The calm demeanor of the head chef and his attention to detail create a welcoming environment for guests. We had the following dishes: - Kawahagi sashimi (with liver) - Grilled herring with miso - Red clam sashimi - Cod milt with soy sauce - Tamago (egg) - Grilled eel - Sweet shrimp with kelp - Hokkigai clam sashimi - Hosomaki rolls: Tekka (tuna) and Kanpyo (gourd) For nigiri sushi, we ordered the "Chef's choice 5 pieces": - Kohada (gizzard shad) - Grilled squid liver - Lean tuna marinated - Medium fatty tuna - Conger eel We also added a "Kohada" as an extra. Additionally, we ordered a Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard with cod milt). The portion size of each dish was substantial, and the flavors were exquisite. The sashimi dishes were fresh and delicious, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The nigiri sushi was well-balanced, with slightly vinegared rice and a good ratio of fish to rice. The chef's attention to detail was evident in each piece of sushi, and the overall dining experience was delightful. The standout dishes were the grilled herring with miso and the sweet shrimp with kelp, which paired exceptionally well with the sake. The Chawanmushi with cod milt was also a luxurious and delicious addition to the meal. Overall, it was a delightful and satisfying sushi experience. Thank you to the chef for a wonderful time, and I look forward to visiting again in the future! Thank you for the delicious meal! Sushi-loving girls gathered for a New Year's party at the sushi restaurant, Tenkacha-ya, let's go! Get off at Daikokucho on the Midosuji Line, then transfer to the Yotsubashi Line and head to Kishinosato Station. Take exit 2 and walk north for about 2-3 minutes to reach the restaurant. Now, let's see what we have at this winter visit to Etchu-ya. Cheers with a large bottle of Sapporo beer! Here's what we enjoyed: - Thinly sliced Kawahagi and Hirame sashimi topped with liver and ponzu sauce, fresh and delicious. - Grilled Nishin (herring) recommended by the chef, a tasty first-time experience. - Vinegared dish of Akagai (ark shell) sashimi. - Grilled Shirako (cod milt) with soy sauce, perfectly cooked and delicious. - Tamagoyaki (sweet rolled omelette) as a service, both sweet and savory versions were delicious. - Anago (conger eel) sushi with wasabi. - Assorted nigiri sushi (5 pieces x 2 servings) for 1300 yen each. - Grilled Ikura (salmon roe) on squid liver, resembling salted roe. - Tuna, Chutoro (medium fatty tuna), Anago (conger eel), and additional items. - Sweet shrimp and Hokkigai (surf clam) sashimi. - More assorted nigiri sushi. - Grilled scallop, seared mackerel, and more. - Egg soup to finish the meal. As always, the chef's attention to detail and the quality of the sushi were outstanding. The restaurant was packed, but the chef's dedication was evident. We will definitely visit again in the spring.

I made a last-minute reservation with a friend in Kishisato and visited the restaurant on the last day of the year. We started with a toast with Akiaji bottled beer, enjoyed fresh squid sashimi, thin-sliced Kawahagi and Hirame sashimi, and grilled Cod white liver with soy sauce. The Kawahagi liver topping was especially delicious. We added some side dishes like vinegar-marinated shellfish and live octopus, oyster ponzu, and steamed egg custard with white liver, which were also amazing. We switched from bottled beer to sake and let the chef choose our sushi. The sushi made by the chef, full of his service spirit, was heartwarming and all of them were excellent. The sake "Houken" from Hiroshima, extra dry, went perfectly with the sushi so we had to order more. We finished with crispy grilled eel and Negitoro, feeling satisfied. We were touched by the chef's thoughtful service and the warm hospitality of the hostess as we left the restaurant.
