It's Mother's Day, so on my way back from shopping, I stopped by a cake shop called "Kaju" near Izumiotsu on my way back to Sakai City. They were open until 8:30 pm, which was convenient. The shop has a parking lot and only offers takeout. There were no customers ahead of me, and only one group behind me. Despite it being Mother's Day, I expected more customers. I bought a strawberry and blood orange mousse for 410 yen, and a naruto potato Mont Blanc matcha pudding parfait for 432 yen. The strawberry and blood orange mousse had lots of fruit and a light mousse which was easy to eat and well-received. The naruto potato and Mont Blanc matcha pudding parfait had a unique texture like juice for the matcha pudding part, and was also well-received. It was a delicious cake shop, and I'm glad I stopped by. Thank you. I paid in cash.

This is a cake shop right after leaving home, loved by locals♡ It's a very small shop, so only up to 2 people can enter at a time. I will post several photos together♡ I usually choose about 1500 yen worth each time. Pudding is a must every time (laughs). "Kajyu" confectionery workshop mainly offers tarts and roll cakes, as well as daifuku, which even family members who don't usually eat cake enjoy. I personally think the sponge is normal, but I love the taste of custard cream and whipped cream♡ The pudding is soft and creamy, but I love the taste just like custard cream, so it's my favorite♡ Sweet potato and chocolate sandwich are also small and cute, perfect for giving to others, so I use them a lot (*^^*) It was an introduction to a very cute and delicious cake shop near my house ( *´꒳`* )

In Izumiotsu, the sweets shop Kaju not only has delicious cakes, but my personal favorite is the caramel financiers shown in the photo. The financiers are shaped like bears, with cute features drawn on the nylon packaging. Kids love them. The taste is rich, with just the right amount of caramel flavor.

Today is my second visit to Izumiotsu City (lol). I reserved a high-quality bread and went to pick it up at the specified time. It's the batch baked at 1:00 PM. Instead of going straight home, I decided to take a walk around the area and found a small cake shop on the way back. It's located on the left side as you head towards the Rinkai Line from the station. As soon as I stepped inside, the room was filled with a sweet aroma. It smelled so good! I looked at the cakes and found that they were relatively affordable. I picked four of my favorites to take home. Tonight, my daughter is returning from Tokyo, so I chose cakes that would suit her taste. I tried the chestnut chiffon cake, which was fluffy and delicious with sweet and soft chestnuts cooked with their skins intact sandwiched between layers of cream. It cost 380 yen. There were many cakes using strawberries, fitting for the season. This cake shop offers reasonably priced cakes that seem perfect for everyday enjoyment. Thank you for the delicious treats! 🍰

I don't remember if I was craving something sweet that day, but I recall coming home from work and walking to buy some desserts. I bought a delicious-looking cake, a reliable cream puff, and a classic custard pudding for everyone. I love the custard cream from this shop, so I also got a cream puff (¥150 each) and a custard pudding (¥200 each). The desserts were all tasty. The cream puff was small, so I felt like I could eat two of them. The custard pudding was not too smooth, more on the firm side. When you scoop it up with a spoon, it holds its shape. Delicious!

Looking for dessert after a meal, I found a place a little up the hill from the Enoshima Line. The parking lot is right next to the store. The small shop had a variety of cakes, baked goods, and cute candles for sale. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service ❤️ I had a strawberry cake, which was not too sweet and I finished it in no time. There were many photos of custom-made cakes on display, including birthday cakes with kids' favorite characters... My friend, who doesn't like sweet treats, enjoyed a Camembert cheese cake.

I went to this restaurant to buy White Day gifts for my coworkers. It's a small place that always seems to have customers. I bought bear-shaped financiers for White Day gifts, as well as cake and pudding for myself. The pudding had a normal, comforting taste. The cake had rich cream that was a bit heavy on the stomach. I prefer lighter flavors. The sponge cake was also just okay.

I went to buy a cake for the first time in a while. At Kaju-san's, there were so many types in the showcase that I always get lost. This time, I bought a white strawberry tart, a chestnut Mont Blanc, a chocolate cake, and a strawberry dome mousse. They all looked delicious, so we shared a little bit of each. The strawberry tart was incredibly delicious. The white strawberries were very sweet, the tart was crispy, and it was amazing. The Mont Blanc was classic and had a reassuringly delicious taste.

I love the morning at Sunny Cafe in the neighborhood, but today I want to introduce the cake shop next to it, "Kaju". I was trying to decide which cake to buy when I noticed that unfortunately, all the cakes had melon on them, and I don't like melon. The hojicha pudding was torched to make it crispy before I took it home. The staff even gave me a small ice pack since I was nearby. All the cakes and baked goods at Kaju are delicious, and the shop is popular with customers due to its parking lot. I recommend both Sunny Cafe and Kaju as great neighborhood spots. Once again, I bought a cake. It seems to be a takeout-only shop. I think I bought cream puffs last time, but this time it's cake. I visited around 6 pm, and there were still various cakes available. The sweet aroma was so tantalizing to a woman's heart. Furthermore, in the back, the store manager? was seen making cakes. I bought a Crispy Caramel Roll for 280 yen, a Pudding Shortcake for 300 yen, a Chestnut Chocolate Cake for 350 yen, and a Cheese Tart for 180 yen. They are not expensive at all. I only tried the Crispy Caramel Roll, but it was so delicious! It was so good that I had to pause eating and take a picture. The cake roll part was so chewy that you could tell as soon as you took a bite. It was well done! The cream inside was so plentiful that it felt light, so you could eat as much as you wanted. Moreover, the cream on top was noteworthy. It had a caramel flavor, and it was crunchy like sugar for a moment. Underneath that was a chewy cream that made you feel like you were eating pudding. The label says "crispy," so I wonder if it's as crispy as a crème brûlée when it's freshly made? Even if it's not, it's still delicious. As you can see from the photo, it's quite large, and the cake roll part is so chewy that one piece fills you up. I haven't tried the other cakes yet, so I don't know, but this Caramel Roll has a big impact. It feels like the person who made it really wants people to enjoy their delicious sweets. Am I praising it too much? (laughs) But I think it's definitely a "work" of someone who enjoys making sweets. These kinds of shops sometimes explode in popularity due to some trigger, so in a way, I hope it doesn't become too trendy. I've only recently started using Tabelog, but I've eaten a lot of cakes and sweets from many shops, and I've also worked for a gourmet website in the past. I've spent quite a bit of money on famous shops' mail-order sweets, but I was surprised to find such a delicious roll cake at a small shop nearby. I'm glad I bought the Crispy Caramel Roll. It's worth going out of your way to buy it. I didn't have any expectations when I ate it, but I got really excited, and even though I haven't tried anything else yet, I couldn't help but write a review (laughs). Oh... when I looked at the store information... it seems to be run by the same person as the next-door cafe. I have used the cafe for lunch quite often, but maybe they should improve their customer service attitude... My older brother and his child stopped by our house and brought some cakes from a shop in Izumiotsu called Kajitsu. The family here seems to use Kajitsu often. I had never really paid attention before, but when my wife mentioned the name Kajitsu, it clicked. They brought a roll cake that was moist with a mildly sweet cream. It was nothing special, but simply delicious. Next was the Chocolat Fromage. I expected it to be light in flavor like the roll cake, but it was actually quite rich. After enjoying yakiniku at the nearby Kaya restaurant, I stumbled upon this place. The parking lot is located next to the store. Even though it was close to closing time at 8pm, the staff greeted us with a smile and provided recommendations. I chose the following cakes: "Gusoku-chan" - Milk Crepe for ¥320, "Yancha-musume" - Cherry Forest for ¥320, "Bunker" - Prince Short for ¥300, and "Yome" - Choux Cream. This time, I reserved a birthday cake, size 5, at Kaju. I had only bought regular cut cakes before, but they were always delicious, so I had high expectations. This time, I chose a chocolate cake with plenty of strawberries. You can choose from various photos. I only wrote "Happy Birthday" in the message. The chocolate was not too sweet, just right! The acidity of the strawberries was also good. It was definitely delicious! The cookies are also delicious.

Last weekend, there was an annual car event, so I booked a hotel near the event venue and spent Saturday and Sunday in Izumiotsu. When I arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM, it was still too early for check-in, so I drove around the area. I noticed a very small and cute shop along the road with a handwritten sign that said "Baumkuchen". Since I love Baumkuchen, I had to buy some, so I parked my car on the side of the road and went inside the shop. A high school girl came out to help me, and when I asked about Baumkuchen, she explained that they had plain and seasonal chestnut flavors, and when I asked which one she recommended, she said, "Do you like chestnuts? If you do, I think you'll like the chestnut flavor (^^)". So, I decided on the chestnut flavor without hesitation. I also found two types of cream puffs with old-fashioned choux pastry in the showcase, so I ended up buying those as well. When I returned to the hotel, I ate the cream puffs... They were delicious!!! The cream was not too sweet, just the way I like it!! It was such a delicious cream that is hard to come across even locally, so I definitely want to visit the shop again next time during the event. I ate the Baumkuchen after returning home, and it also had a rich chestnut flavor, but not too sweet!! It was really delicious as well (^^). Next time, I want to try their regular shortcake too.

I received it for Valentine's Day this year. Chocolate choux is delicious after all... The children ate the rest. It came in a cute box and there was a bear cake inside, which was cute and delicious. I only ate the chocolate choux, so my rating is based solely on that.

My husband received a gift on Valentine's Day. It was a set of baked goods and coffee. There were cookies labeled "Choco Tuile" inside, and they were as delicious as they looked. They were like macarons with almonds and chocolate on top.
