This is a restaurant located on the south side of Osaka Abenobashi Station on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line, on the first floor of the Kishimoto Building, serving tonkatsu and curry. The restaurant is a collaboration between the tonkatsu veteran "KYK" operated by Kyokuta Shoten and the popular curry establishment "San Marco". The interior features a large U-shaped counter on the left side, with table and booth seating on the right side and near the entrance, totaling 44 seats in a bright and spacious layout. The menu consists of various tonkatsu and fry set meals, various curries, and omurice, with the tonkatsu curry being a popular choice. I ordered the "KYK Zen" (1,350 yen), which combines loin katsu and shrimp fry. The dish arrived promptly with chopsticks, pickles, and cold roasted green tea. The main plate with 80g of loin katsu and 2 shrimp fries, shredded cabbage, potato salad, tartar sauce, sliced tomato, and lemon was served with rice and miso soup. The tonkatsu, though slightly small at 80g, had a perfect rose-pink color and a crispy coating with a light and tender texture. The meat was flavorful and tender, with a light and not greasy taste. The demi-glace sauce complemented the tonkatsu well. The shrimp fry was also crispy and had a plump texture. The tartar sauce was delicious. Kyokuta Shoten, the company behind the well-known KYK brand, is located in Matsuzaki-cho, south of here. The meaning of "KYK" is said to be "Keep You Kindly," reflecting their commitment to providing heartfelt hospitality. However, the name actually originated from the Kawaramachi Yousai Kenkyuujo sewing institute, which later became a cafe named K・Y・K.

A popular dish that combines KYK's pork cutlet and San Marco's beef curry. It's a delicious combination guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds! It comes with a salad and you can have seconds. You can also order extra rice or curry sauce. The curry has a slightly spicy European flavor. It's a luxurious meal where you can enjoy both the pork cutlet and beef. For an additional 130 yen, you can order a drink or ice cream. Just be aware that the air conditioning is quite strong, so it might feel a bit cold inside, especially during the summer.

I came to eat here after a long time. The curry was delicious, but I chose the pork fillet. Rice, miso soup, and salad are free for refills! Prices have been going up everywhere lately, so it's a nice service. I ended up getting seconds of the salad. The pork cutlet was crispy and juicy when fried. It tastes delicious whether you eat it with salt or sauce. The oyster fry came with tartar sauce with Iburi fish cake.

Tonkatsu curry rice with extra large portion for free, curry roux with extra large portion for free, salad refill for free, free massive traffic jam, divine tonkatsu, tonkatsu K.Y.K ♪ If you're from Kansai, this must be stuck in your ears and won't go away, probably shaking your eardrums and brain like Hotel New Awaji. The tonkatsu from K.Y.K, which has shops all over Kansai, features the classic curry from San Marco, another restaurant in the same group. There's no way it wouldn't be delicious, and the cost performance is great. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. I mainly go around Osaka and surrounding areas to find good value restaurants. When it comes to the standard of tonkatsu in Osaka, KYK in Tennoji is definitely the top choice. There are many branches in the area, but today I went to the KYK Katsu & Curry located near Harukas and Kintetsu Department Store. Many of you may already know that the curry restaurant San Marco is also under the same company. Today, I was craving for oyster fry, so I ordered a set of oyster fry and hirekatsu, which comes with rice, miso soup, and unlimited cabbage refills. The taste was consistently delicious.

Today, I came here because I wanted to eat curry. The facade is made of glass, making the interior very bright. Inside, on the left is counter seating, and on the right is table seating. After ordering, the food came out in about 10 minutes. The pork cutlet was juicy and delicious even when eaten as is. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The manager was also impressive and friendly. Thank you for the meal.

KYK's tonkatsu and San Marco's curry make for a dream collaboration! The female staff members here are friendly, kind, and very lovely. The tonkatsu curry costs 900 yen including tax. First, you get a salad and pickles with two types of dressing, and you can have seconds of both the salad and rice. The tonkatsu curry is delicious and the curry isn't too spicy, making it suitable for everyone. The shiny rice is a nice touch. It's definitely worth the price, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Located on the first floor of the Kishimoto Building next to Abeno Harukas, this restaurant is a collaboration between the tonkatsu restaurant "KYK" and the curry restaurant "San Marco". The seating area consists of a large U-shaped counter on the left side and table and booth seating on the right side and near the entrance. Currently, due to COVID-19 measures, the counter seats have been spaced out with transparent acrylic dividers, giving a slightly cramped feeling. I decided to try one of their limited-time bowl dishes. The "katsu rice bowl" comes in three varieties: "Abeno katsu rice bowl," "miso katsu bowl," and "demi katsu bowl," each priced at 880 yen. I ordered the "Abeno katsu rice bowl." The dish arrived promptly, served in a shallow bowl with rice topped with cabbage and a pork cutlet. A soft-boiled egg and a light, flavorful sauce were also included. The pork cutlet was perfectly cooked, with a slightly pink center and a crispy texture. Mixing in the soft-boiled egg enhanced the rich flavor. The combination of tonkatsu, cabbage, and sauce was excellent. While different from the traditional "katsu rice" from Kakogawa, the main difference here is the use of pork cutlet instead of beef cutlet. Overall, the dish resembled a sauce katsu bowl in taste.

KYK, it's been a while. This is my first visit here. The interior of the restaurant has a classic and slightly upscale design. There are counter seats typical of a curry shop and spacious table seats. It's a curry and cutlet restaurant. The curry is a collaboration with San Marco curry. I wanted to try the cutlet curry, but since I had curry the day before, I opted for the standard cutlet set at 1410 yen (including tax). On the table, there is a bottle of pineapple, a pickled side dish, which I assume is meant to be paired with curry. There are two types of cabbage dressings on the table, sesame dressing and creamy tomato dressing. However, if you ask the staff, they can also provide shiso dressing. There is only one recommended sauce for the cutlet on the table, but if you ask, they can also provide a sweet sauce. You can have refills for rice, miso soup, and cabbage. During the meal, when your rice is running low, the staff will ask if you would like a refill. The quality is consistently good. Thank you for the meal.

I went to KYK for a quick lunch with my wife in Tennoji. We took a taxi there and then took the Kintetsu train back to Tennoji. People living in Abeno, Tennoji, or along the Kintetsu Nankai line seem to prefer going to KYK for lunch without thinking too much. My wife and I couldn't decide on where to eat in Tennoji, so we ended up at KYK. I had the shrimp fry and pork cutlet curry, while my wife had the black pork loin cutlet set. It felt like a typical Saturday in Tennoji! The atmosphere at KYK was filled with customers who were about 5-10 years older than me.

When I feel like eating pork cutlet curry and happen to be near the station, I sometimes visit the restaurant KYK. The pork cutlet curry never disappoints, although I wouldn't say it's so delicious that it's truly impressive. However, what sets this place apart is that they offer all-you-can-eat salad with unlimited refills. Even though I may not always speak up, the staff always make sure to check in frequently and are attentive to my needs, such as noticing when my water or tea is running low and refilling it for me. The service is top-notch, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the waitstaff. Whenever I crave pork cutlet curry, I make sure to stop by. On this particular day, I had the pork cutlet and shrimp fry with a sausage topping.

Located right next to Osaka Abenobashi Station on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line, next to the iconic "Abeno Harukas" in Osaka, is a restaurant that serves both tonkatsu and curry on the first floor of the newly rebuilt Kishimoto Building. This restaurant, operated by Maguta Shoten, combines the tonkatsu concept "KYK" with the curry concept "San Marco", offering both tonkatsu and curry dishes. The interior features a large U-shaped counter on the left side, with table seating on the right side and near the entrance, totaling 44 seats. All seats are non-smoking, which is convenient. On this visit, the reviewer decided to try the seasonal limited edition Kaki Fry. The "Kaki Fry Set" (1,280 yen) was served with chopsticks, pickles, and hot roasted green tea, followed by the Kaki Fry plate, rice, and miso soup. The Kaki Fry consisted of five large pieces of Hiroshima oysters on a wire mesh. The crispy coating was light and fluffy, revealing juicy and flavorful oysters inside. The dish was accompanied by shredded cabbage, a small portion of potato salad, and julienned tomato with a vinegar citrus twist. The reviewer enjoyed the Kaki Fry with two types of sauces available on the table - tonkatsu sauce and tartar sauce. The option to refill the salad, rice, and miso soup was appreciated. Overall, the reviewer was able to indulge in the seasonal delight of crispy Kaki Fry, a winter favorite, at KYK.

Located in the neighborhood, KYK is a place I often visit when I want to have a quick lunch alone. It is right in front of Harukas, which is a great location, but today it's empty because of the typhoon, haha. My usual order here is the "140g Pork Loin Cutlet Set". The rice, miso soup, and salad are all-you-can-eat, which is a very appreciated service for a foodie like myself. I enjoyed the slightly rare pork cutlet with the special sauce!

Located on the first floor of the Kishimoto Building next to Abeno Harukas, this restaurant is a collaboration between the tonkatsu restaurant "KYK" and the curry restaurant "San Marco". With the summer heat making people feel a bit fatigued, I was craving tonkatsu and decided to visit this place. The restaurant has a bright and spacious layout with a large U-shaped counter on the left side and table and box seats on the right side and near the entrance, totaling 44 seats. I ordered the "Rosu Tonkatsu with Demi-Glace Sauce Set" (140g for 1,330 yen or 110g for 1,180 yen). The tonkatsu was served with cabbage, potato salad, sliced tomato, lemon, rice, and miso soup. The tonkatsu had a light pink color and a crispy coating with a juicy and tender pork meat inside. The Demi-Glace sauce was light and complemented the tonkatsu well. Overall, the tonkatsu was delicious and not greasy, making it a satisfying meal.

I ordered curry with fried shrimp and pork cutlet. First, a salad was served, and I was able to get a refill, which was nice. I had to wait a while for the curry to come out because they were frying the cutlets. In the end, the pork cutlet tasted better with sauce and mustard. The curry wasn't as tasty as I had hoped. The rice was also a bit mushy, which was disappointing. Additionally, the staff placed the chopsticks and spoon in the wrong order, which was a bit off-putting.

I had lunch at Tennoji. I visited KYK Katsu & Curry. It seems to be a collaboration between KYK, known for its tonkatsu, and San Marco, known for its curry. The menu is extensive, but I ordered the Large Katsu Curry for 980 yen. The curry sauce was quite spicy and had a hotel curry-like impression. The katsu was indeed large, but the texture was a bit sticky. The bread crumbs in the coating seemed fine, but there may have been too much binding flour. The thick and sticky coating was disappointing. It felt like the tonkatsu used in common major bento chain stores. Well, considering the low price, it's reasonable. Next time, I would like to try a menu with high-quality tonkatsu, like the tonkatsu set meal.

When you're torn between eating curry at a curry specialty shop or tonkatsu at a tonkatsu specialty shop, this restaurant has the perfect solution for you. Based in Kansai, the collaboration between tonkatsu restaurant KYK and curry restaurant San Marco offers the popular "European Beef Curry" and the "Katsu & Beef Curry," which combines San Marco's curry sauce with KYK's pork cutlet. The naming is spot on, as both the curry sauce and the pork cutlet complement each other perfectly. San Marco's curry is made with 20 types of spices, chicken bone and aromatic vegetable broth, and beef for a rich European-style curry. The condiments at San Marco include cucumber pickles, pineapple, peanuts, and raisins, all of which are unlimited and add an extra layer of flavor to the dish. The combination of flavors is well thought out and offers a unique dining experience.

I love tonkatsu and curry (^^)♬ When I found this restaurant, unfortunately it was not meal time, so I had to pass on it (T_T) Today was the day! I finished my business in Tennoji and went for it on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily, I was seated right away. The restaurant wasn't as spacious as I thought, and the tables were quite close together, but it's prime location in Tennoji so it's understandable. It's a collaboration between San Marco and KYK, so I was excited (^^) I'm not a big fan of European curry, but I like to have it occasionally. I ordered the Omu-Hire Katsu Curry for ¥1000 and my partner got the regular Katsu Curry for ¥880. Both came with a side salad, and refills were free, but one serving was enough for me. The curry was beautifully arranged on a large plate. It was sweet at first and then had a spicy kick, but not as creamy as a typical European curry. I really enjoyed the flavor. The Hire Katsu was tender and delicious. The harmony of the warm egg, katsu, and curry was irresistible. I tried adding some diced pineapple on top, and it was a great match! The sweet and sour pineapple went well with the curry. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal♬ Next time, I'll try something other than curry from the Western menu.

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Tennoji Station, there is a curry restaurant called KYK Katsu & Curry. As the name suggests, you can enjoy both KYK's tonkatsu and San Marco's curry at this restaurant, with their recommended dish being the Katsu Curry. However, they also offer regular tonkatsu set meals and curry, so you can enjoy other dishes besides Katsu Curry. This time, I ordered the Tonkatsu Spinach Curry. The quickly cooked spinach, KYK's crispy and juicy tonkatsu, and San Marco's sweet curry had a perfect balance. Whether you love tonkatsu or curry, be sure to visit this place. Bon appétit!
