From high-end restaurants to cozy neighborhood spots, there is something for everyone. 【Overview】 This popular Chinese restaurant in Osaka's Umeda area has been loved for over 65 years. I finally got to go to Yokumeda's Shumai Tairo in Nishi Umeda. It was delicious as the reviews said. There were three of us at a table on the first floor. We were able to go with a last-minute reservation, but it seems like it's better to make a reservation depending on the time. We had: Sakura Bridge Shumai, Spicy Gyoza, Cucumber with Spicy Sauce, Homemade Char Siu, Shrimp Shumai, Five-Ingredient Fried Rice, Xiao Long Bao, Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts with Shrimp, Chili Chicken, Wonton Soup, Almond Jelly Gelato, Draft Beer, Ginger Ale. Everything was delicious, but the items with a ★ are especially recommended! There are other things I want to try, so I'll definitely go back!

Visited in the middle of the long weekend (Sunday) in the early evening, so I was able to get in smoothly! This was a restaurant I had been wanting to go to for a long time. I had Shaoxing wine as my drink✨ The shiny texture of the dumplings was amazing. Everything was delicious, but I wish there was a bit more sweet and sour pork. I want to go back to try more dishes!

Working at Hilton Osaka and had lunch there - tried the "Traditional Chinese Lunch" for 850 yen. It came with fried noodles, char siu, shumai, rice, and soup. They gave me a free extra serving of rice. The shumai was too soft for my liking, not as meaty as I expected. Can't compare it to the famous Osaka shumai. The sauce was provided by default. The fried noodles were like yakisoba that everyone has had before. The char siu was delicious and suited my taste.

Sesame soba first experience! I had visited a few times before, enjoying the town Chinese cuisine centered around shumai, but it was my first visit after hearing that sesame soba was a specialty! At first, I ordered two types of shumai, a classic, and then beer kept flowing (^^). Then, with a stir-fried vegetable dish in between, I accelerated even more, and after being satisfied with the chashu, I ordered the sesame soba as the finishing touch. It was different from what I had imagined, but the quality exceeded my expectations. It was a Chinese-style soba with a sesame flavor, and the soup was thick and addictive! The seasoning of the soup was exquisite, making you want to drink it over and over again! I discovered a great menu (^.^)

After finishing work, I visited this restaurant in Umeda with my nephew to go shopping. I was originally planning to go to a different restaurant that I had heard good things about, but unfortunately it was closed that day. We started with a toast with beer, then had two types of dumplings, hoikoro (fried dumplings), the famous sesame soba, and green fried rice. The restaurant had a quaint atmosphere that felt like it was stuck in time in a corner of Umeda. It was a great experience. I will definitely visit again!

The daily set meal (fried rice, mini ramen, 2 shumai) was quite delicious. The fried rice was oily, which I like, and the seasoning was just right. The ramen today was like a creamy tantanmen. The shumai was surprisingly soft and tastier than expected. This might be the best part. Will consider revisiting.

I was taken to a popular authentic Chinese restaurant by the members of the Osaka branch. Everything I ate was delicious, but the signature dish of gyoza was outstanding. It's perfect for enjoying with a few colleagues after work.

I had been curious about a quirky named restaurant called "Gyoza Taro" for a long time. I saw it on TV the other day and decided to go there with a friend. The restaurant is quite small, with seating on the 1st to 3rd floors, all packed with customers. As a first-time visitor, I ordered the signature dish "Gyoza Set Meal" with an additional 200 yen to change the steamed rice to fried rice. The gyoza had a flavorful ginger-infused filling that was so delicious I could eat as much as I wanted. The fried rice, though it looked a bit plain, had a fantastic taste. It's a place I would definitely want to come back to many times.

This restaurant is a must-try for shumai. It's full of ingredients, delicious, and good value for money. The gyoza, however, seem a bit small for the price. The liver yakitori is similar to the leek liver dish at Ousho. The famous green fried rice is a simple fried rice made with spinach, eggs, and salt only. I definitely want to try the shumai and fried rice again. It's also a restaurant with a long history.

Half shrimp wonton set meal with fried rice (extra large portion). On Mountain Day, amidst the crowded streets of Osaka, I sought out a lunch spot that seemed less busy. After many years, I decided to visit Yaki Man Tairo for the first time. There was a short wait for a table, but the turnover was quick. As I love shrimp wontons, I ordered the shrimp wonton set meal with an extra large portion of fried rice (same price, so why not go for the extra!). First, they brought out two small shrimp wontons, which seemed to have a unique smell reminiscent of lamb... Next came the shrimp wontons! The shrimp flavor was not very prominent, and they looked just like instant wontons from a popular brand. The fried rice was the typical fluffy type, but quite oily. The soup that came with the shrimp wontons and the fried rice were both quite salty. It had been many years since my last visit, and while those who prioritize quantity may be satisfied, personally, I don't think I will be returning... Thank you for the meal.

We had been wanting to try the restaurant called "Gyoza Taro" for a while. Today, my wife and I went there for lunch. It's not far from the station, and the wait was about 10 minutes for 3 groups. I had the Half-Chan Lunch (750 yen + extra 100 yen for large fried rice), and my wife had the Sesame Ramen (750 yen) with 4 pieces of gyoza (450 yen). The sesame ramen had a hot and thick soup with a sesame flavor. The gyoza was soft and delicious.

I visited around 2 PM on a weekday. It was not crowded and the owner (I think) was running the place alone. I ordered the Green Fried Rice Set. The shumai was delicious as always. Everything had a comforting taste that made me want to come back. The portion size was good and the cost performance was excellent, making it perfect for salarymen and students.

I had some errands in Umeda, so I decided to look for a Chinese restaurant for lunch. I remembered that the last time I tried to go to Gyoza Tarou at night, it was crowded. So, I decided to go there for the first time in a while. I arrived right at 12:00 on a weekday and there was no wait. I ordered the daily special, which came with a free upgrade to a large portion of fried rice for 850 yen. I also ordered the Sanratanmen ramen because it seemed like the sourness would be good for the hot weather. The fried rice wasn't as fluffy as I expected, but it had a strong flavor and was delicious. The portion size was great for the price. I can feel myself gaining weight again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited at 12:00 on Saturday and was able to get in without waiting in line! (By the time I left, there were 1-2 groups waiting.) I ordered the shrimp wonton set (850 yen), the daily lunch special (850 yen), and I just had to have the Sakura Hashi Shumai 4-piece. The mini shumai that came with the set were delicious, but the Sakura Hashi Shumai was even better because it was bigger. The lunch set was cheap but very satisfying! (Free extra-large fried rice) I will definitely be coming back again! (^。^)

Around 2 pm on a weekday, there was only one group of customers ahead of me. I came here for a regular check-up. When I arrived, there was a line of office workers at the entrance. Lunchtime is until 2:30 pm. I just made it in time after my check-up. I ordered the daily lunch special for ¥850, which included miso ramen, fried rice, and 2 dumplings. The ramen portion was small, but the fried rice was generous! It had a lot of volume. I added gyoza sauce to the fried rice halfway through for a change in flavor. The dumplings were small but packed with flavor. It was delicious!

Hello ♪ It's Ramen Walking! Today is Chinese food day~ I visited the restaurant "Yakimai Tailou Sakurabashi" in Nishi Umeda and had the "Green Fried Rice Set Meal". I arrived at 12:15 and luckily there was no wait, so I was seated immediately. I decided to try the visually appealing green fried rice set meal for the first time. Here is what I ordered: Green Fried Rice Set Meal for 950 yen, which included green fried rice, half ramen, and 2 mini shumai dumplings. The green fried rice was exactly as the name suggests - green in color with spinach mixed in. The spinach was finely chopped, giving the rice a subtle flavor without being overpowering. It felt like a healthy choice. The half ramen was delicious, with a chicken broth and chewy straight noodles that were springy and satisfying. The portion size was just right. The mini shumai dumplings were a highlight, with a chewy skin and a flavorful meat filling. I could see why they are famous for their shumai. Overall, the restaurant had a wide selection of lunch menu items and plenty of seating. It was a convenient and enjoyable dining experience. Thank you, Yakimai Tailou Sakurabashi! I visited a Chinese restaurant called "Shaomai Tailou Sakurabashi" around 7 pm on a weekday in July 2023. Located a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Umeda Station, the 3-story restaurant seated me on the 2nd floor after I mentioned my reservation. The place was about 70% full. I started with an Asahi Super Dry draft beer for ¥500. The drink menu had great deals overall. The pickled mustard greens for ¥350 had a generous serving and made a great snack. The crispy texture and mild flavor were enjoyable. The steamed chicken with scallion ginger sauce for ¥450 was moist and paired well with the slightly oily and nicely seasoned sauce. It was a must-order dish and a great value for the price. The homemade roast pork for ¥600 was placed on boiled bean sprouts with chopped green onions sprinkled on top. The light soy sauce dressing complemented the slightly firm but flavorful roast pork. The combination with bean sprouts was excellent. The "Sakurabashi Shaomai" for ¥520 was a must-try dish at this restaurant. The pork dumplings with soy sauce and mustard had a rich flavor and sweetness. The size was just right, perfect for pairing with beer. The sweet and sour pork for ¥800 had a good balance of acidity and sweetness in the sauce. It was packed with plenty of pork, offering great satisfaction for the price. The crispy onions and sweet vinegar sauce were delicious. The pan-fried dumplings for ¥400 looked and tasted great. The perfect balance of the crispy exterior and flavorful filling made it a top-notch dish for the price. It was discovered that this restaurant was not only great for Shaomai but also for dumplings. I switched to a "lemon sour" for ¥450 to enjoy a refreshing drink. The refreshing lemon sour was so enjoyable that I could keep drinking it endlessly. The yakisoba noodles for ¥650 had a savory flavor base instead of the usual sauce, with a hint of ramen soup flavor. The noodles were outstanding, and the shrimp, pork, and vegetables were generously included. At only ¥650, it was incredibly cheap. This dish was also a must-order. The "Eight Treasures" for ¥750 was a stir-fried dish with pork, Chinese cabbage, shimeji mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers, and baby corn. The smooth texture with a good amount of saltiness was delightful. It had a high-quality taste of upscale Chinese cuisine, offering satisfaction beyond its price. The aged fried chicken for ¥750 had a well-seasoned taste. The crispy coating and juicy chicken meat were enjoyable, especially when paired with a lemon sour. The plump shrimp Shaomai for ¥600 was a separate dish from the meat Shaomai. The high-quality shrimp taste and texture were delightful. The sweet and sour pork belly and cabbage stir-fry for ¥800 had a mild flavor, making it easy to eat. It was best enjoyed as part of a set meal rather than on its own. The inclusion of cabbage, shimeji mushrooms, carrots, and bell peppers was characteristic of this restaurant. The "Five-Ingredient Fried Rice" for ¥600 was a satisfying way to end the meal. The perfectly cooked rice with a flavorful seasoning was delicious. It was an outstanding fried rice for ¥600. It might be a good idea to order rice dishes early when dining at this restaurant. "Shaomai Tailou" offers affordable Chinese cuisine in the heart of Umeda, with prices similar to local Chinese restaurants. While the interior lacked cleanliness in the diverse atmosphere, the value for money was unmatched. Gratefully acknowledging the delicious Chinese dishes, I happily paid the bill and left the restaurant.

After a long time, I went to have lunch in Nishiumeda. I often go there for dinner, but I had never been there for lunch before, so I decided to visit my cousin Taro's place! I arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to enter the restaurant smoothly. It was just full, so the timing was perfect! Ordered: - Green fried rice set meal for 950 yen I ordered the popular green fried rice set meal, which comes with dumplings. First, I tried the ramen. It had a refreshing and simple soup with noodles. It was a very normal ramen with no particular features. Next, I tried the dumplings. The thin and chewy skin with a meaty filling was as delicious as ever. Lastly, I dug into the famous green fried rice. It was not the dry type, but a bit softer with lots of green vegetables, which felt good for the body. All of this for 950 yen is quite affordable compared to other lunch prices in the area, and the consistently delicious taste made me satisfied with the lunch. Thank you for the meal!

The night after returning from Fukuoka, I met up with a high school classmate for dinner. It had been about 7-8 years since we last saw each other. I chose this restaurant in the Umeda area as my friend was in charge of selecting the place. The restaurant has been around since 1952, making it quite a longstanding establishment. Despite living in Osaka for a long time, I had never heard of this place before. I had reserved a 9-course meal for 3,300 yen, which seemed unbelievably cheap. After visiting, I realized that Osaka is truly a city for food lovers. The meal included appetizers like Bang Bang Chicken, shumai, gyoza, a chicken dish similar to oil-drizzled chicken, mapo tofu, beef and vegetable stir-fry, shrimp and tomato stir-fry, fried rice, and sesame dumplings. By the end of the meal, I was completely stuffed. We also enjoyed several drinks like draft beer, shochu, and highballs, which cost an additional 1,200 yen per person for a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. The building was a 3-story pencil building with narrow floors. The atmosphere was lively and bustling on all floors. The food quality was mediocre, but the affordability and convenient location made it worth the visit. The waitresses on the 3rd floor were Chinese and provided efficient service. It was a fun evening catching up with my classmate, and it made me reflect on approaching 60 years old. Despite not knowing each other's current situations, we still found common ground and a sense of camaraderie. We didn't go to a second venue and went straight home after dinner. It was a pleasant and enjoyable time. Friends are truly valuable, and it's the quality of friendship that matters, not the quantity.

☆彡Located in Nishi-Umeda, a town Chinese restaurant that has been in business for nearly 60 years offers a variety of attractive lunch menus and sets. One recommended option is the daily special lunch set, available even on weekends and holidays, which includes fried rice, sesame noodles, and 2 pieces of shumai, a classic Chinese combination. Despite being called a daily special, the combination is mostly the same each day, with slight variations in the ingredients of the fried rice. What sets this lunch set apart is the "sesame noodles," a unique menu item with plenty of freshly ground sesame. I always order the daily special just to have a taste of this dish. ○Daily Special Set (850 yen) Sesame Noodles, Fried Rice with Five Ingredients, Mini Shumai The three items are served almost simultaneously, which is a rare and ideal serving style. The fried rice, even when ordered in a large portion, does not incur any additional charges. It has a moist and easy-to-eat texture, making it a pleasant dish. The sesame noodles, which I always look forward to, have a rich aroma of ground sesame that pairs well with the soup. The generous amount of sesame that coats the noodles brings joy, and the light soup complements the sesame perfectly. The daily special, priced at 850 yen, is a great deal, and it's no wonder the place is always crowded. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are very encouraging. If you like, please give it a thumbs up. I also have an Instagram account @ginjirou.star, so feel free to check it out. Thank you!
