It was the border between the lavender season and the autumn leaves season! Even though it's the off-season, this place was open \(^o^)/ I had a summer vegetable curry! They asked if I wanted it spicy, and I asked for it to be spicy. It was just the right amount of spiciness, which was great. Enjoyed Furano (^^)

Curry restaurant on the second floor of a flower garden. With its glass walls, you can enjoy delicious curry while admiring the beautiful flower garden.
- Vegetable Curry: $9
- Beef Curry: $7
- Chicken Curry: $7
We tried all the menu items as there are only four options. The vegetable curry was the most expensive, but it was beautifully presented with a generous amount of vegetables on top. It looked like a soup curry with the vegetables deep-fried. The curry itself was tasty, but nothing particularly special. The portion sizes were a bit small.
There was also a surprising item on the menu, Gobou Sushi, which we tried despite being told it was sold out. It was a sushi dish with burdock and beef cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, mixed with rice, topped with egg and shiso leaves. It had a hint of pickled ginger on top. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is the Northern Curry Workshop, also known as Curry Shop Kirara. Despite being listed as "gobo sushi," we delved into the mystery (lol). At first, I imagined it as rolled sushi, but it turned out to be burdock and beef cooked sweet and savory, mixed with rice, egg, and shiso leaves... like a scattered sushi. The portion isn't that large, but the flavors are rich and well-balanced. It's strongly sweetened and turned out like our homemade sushi. The director, who seems like a character from our house, saw it somewhere and decided to add it to the menu. It's not that they're particularly fixated on Nakafurano, but it seems rare for couples to come in, so one person orders curry and the other orders gobo sushi to share. It seems to be selling well that way. Personally, I thought about getting it for takeout and enjoying it at home with some drinks. It's a dish that can be both a main course and a side dish. That's all for the pioneer review!

I ate the vegetable curry menu! The curry had a rich, dark-colored, thick roux. The highlight was the fried vegetables on top. There were several kinds, and they were all delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant is somewhat nice. The staff are mostly friendly. They seemed a bit busy, but... I was satisfied! The vegetables were tasty and the curry had a comforting flavor.

I enjoyed the full bloom lavender fields in Furano. Some farms were closed due to the pandemic, but this one was open. The flowers were in full bloom, and the view of the flower fields from the second-floor restaurant window was beautiful. The deep purple world of lavender is truly unique to Hokkaido, and it's easy to lose track of time while gazing at it. The curry menu offered beef, chicken, and vegetable options. I was intrigued by the mysterious burdock sushi, but I ended up ordering the beef and vegetable curries separately. The vegetable curry had a variety of colorful vegetables that looked beautiful and tasted fresh, but the curry itself felt like it was from a ready-made package. The beef in my husband's curry also had a similar feel. The souvenir shop next to the flower fields was not very big, so it didn't seem like they were trying to profit heavily off of tourists.

I went to Furano. Around Marine Day, lavender blooms and there are many tourists. There is traffic congestion on the way to Farm Tomita in Nakafurano. Next to the town lavender garden on the way to Tomita, there is a Flower Park called Kirara, where I had a vegetable curry set. It was crowded, and I left it to the local auntie waitress to guide me. The vegetable curry is not a curry with stewed vegetables. Vegetables that have been cooked are deep-fried and served on top of the curry. However, the vegetables are delicious. Zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper, and broccoli are common, but the carrots are delicious. I am not a big fan of carrots, but these were not too sweet, not too strong, and had a natural flavor. The pumpkin was also soft and tasty. The curry itself is a sweet, well-cooked roux curry, and it was decently tasty. I topped the salad with homemade dressing, which tasted like the dressing I used to make at home. Delicious. Anyway, the vegetables are delicious. This is an example of how vegetables and curry can be delicious when eaten like this.

I came here because Furano-ya and Kumagera were too crowded. I ordered a chicken curry set with drink and salad, and a vegetable curry set. It's a summer curry, right?

I stopped by for lunch on my way back from Tomita Farm. The vegetable curry was delicious! The salad was made with vegetables picked in the morning and was very fresh and crispy.

This is a shop I used when I went to Furano, Hokkaido. Furano is famous for its omu curry, but unfortunately the shop was crowded. Since we didn't want to wait, we changed our plans and decided to try this shop instead. The shop has a somewhat log house style and is clean. Although we visited the shop suddenly, we decided to try their curry. The curry was quite delicious, but not particularly unique in flavor. It was just a delicious, orthodox curry. Honestly, it didn't have a distinctive taste, but it was still good. They served a pretty big melon for dessert. It's a shop in a tourist area, but it wasn't bad at all. If you have the chance, I recommend trying it.

While traveling in Furano, Hokkaido, I went to a curry restaurant that was packed with people. It was no surprise since it was listed in the guidebook. Not wanting to wait, I wandered around and stumbled upon "Hokkaido Curry Workshop Kirara." The restaurant had a nice view and a spacious interior. I personally didn't feel very comfortable, but that's just me (laughs). I ordered the beef curry set, and was offered the option to change the drink to melon instead of oolong tea. I chose the melon option, thinking it was a bit unusual. The curry was stylish and tasty, although the portion was a bit small. Finally, I enjoyed the melon and finished my meal. Thank you for the meal.

Located near the famous Tomita Farm in the Furano area, this shop is only open during the summer months within the flower park. During lavender season, you can enjoy curry rice while admiring the lavender from inside the shop, making it a recommended spot for tourists. The main menu consists of curry rice (with oolong tea) for 800 yen and a curry rice set (with a soft drink and salad) for 1,000 yen, with a choice of beef curry, chicken curry, or seasonal vegetable curry. The shop is on the second floor, and before being seated, you need to go up the stairs and place your order and pay at the reception on the left side. For first-time visitors, the process of ordering and paying upfront may be confusing. After payment, you receive a ticket and proceed to your seat, but the staff comes quickly to collect the ticket, which may feel a bit rushed. As for the food, the recommended dish is the "Seasonal Vegetable Curry" made with local vegetables such as rice, onions, potatoes, and carrots from Nakafurano town. Depending on the season, the ingredients may vary. The curry rice is vegetable-based, so it has a sweet flavor and is recommended even for children. If you choose the set, you may get Nakafurano melon depending on the season, making it a good deal. In June, when melons are not yet harvested, a vegetable salad is served instead. The shop operates thanks to a business partnership with local female farmers following the wide-area merger of the agricultural cooperative in 2001, showing a strong commitment to local vegetables. This is a recommended spot to visit during lavender viewing at the flower park's parking lot.

Holiday. Drove to Furano. Curry in Furano, huh. I wanted to try more local dishes, but I couldn't go against the opinion of my friend who was driving. Maybe there's a hidden gem? When we arrived a bit after lunchtime, we went upstairs and there were only three of us and one other table. We ordered beef curry (800 yen) for the three of us. Payment was upfront. It's okay, but the explanation was a bit intimidating. Did we make them angry? After paying, as soon as we sat down, the same staff member came to take the receipt. Was that necessary? It felt like a skit. The taste wasn't bad though.
