We have started a special weekend-only set menu at the izakaya Jay Maido! Yamadera in Nishinari, Osaka. This day was a rare daytime drinking outing in Nishinari! The restaurant Jay has a counter surrounding the kitchen, and on weekends during the day, the owner manages the place. They have introduced a limited-time offer from 12:00 to 17:00 on weekends, which includes 3 drinks, 3 karaoke songs, and appetizers for only 1000 yen. The appetizers on this day were burdock salad and tomatoes. It's a great deal with 3 drinks included. I also ordered octopus sashimi for 350 yen, which was delicious. For dessert, I had Leche Flan from the Philippines for 550 yen, which was similar to Japanese pudding and went well with Western-style alcohol. Overall, it was a satisfying visit after a long time. Thank you for the meal!

Karaoke, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere - that's what you'll find at Izakaya Jay Maido! Yamadera in Nishinari. I recently visited this place in Nishinari for a drink. It had been a while since I last went to Jay, but stepping inside felt familiar and calming. When I drink in Nishinari, I usually start in the morning, so it can be a bit challenging to find places open in the evening. However, this time, even though it was a bit late, I decided to revisit Jay since it had been a while. The menu was full of tempting options, especially the miso ramen and ankake yakisoba made by the chef from Hokkaido. I ordered a shochu highball for 350 yen and the otoshi (appetizer) for 250 yen, which was chilled edamame tofu. It had a nice hint of edamame flavor and the kimchi on top added a great touch. I also tried the 100% pure shikuwasa juice for 490 yen, which had a refreshing acidity and flavor. I was curious about the new hot sandwich for 300 yen, so I ordered it. It was a hearty sandwich with egg, cucumber, and ham, and it was absolutely delicious. I sang two songs at the karaoke and enjoyed my drinks and food. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. I would love to come back here as the first stop next time to try more dishes. Thank you for the meal.

A fun and delicious izakaya in Nishinari, Osaka - Izakaya Jay Maido! Yamadera This time, we decided to go drinking in Nishinari and ended up at Izakaya Jay. They also have a karaoke set up in the izakaya, making it a lively and affordable place to drink. I believe I had a highball to drink, but I don't have a picture... First, we were served an otoshi for 250 yen, which was satisfying with firefly squid and seared mackerel. Both were delicious. We also ordered tempura - chikuwa tempura for 90 yen, squid tempura for 120 yen, and onion tempura for 90 yen. They were all freshly fried and tasty. We also had grated daikon for 300 yen, which was a refreshing side dish. We enjoyed karaoke, drinks, and food, making it a fantastic day. Otaru Ankake Yakisoba is quite delicious! This time, I decided to drink in Nishinari and revisit my favorite izakaya, Jay Maido! Yamadera. Last time I visited, I was quite drunk, but this time I'm not as drunk. I ordered a Red Kirishima shochu highball for 300 yen. The drinks and food here are really cheap! You can also sing karaoke for 100 yen per song. For food, I had the Egg Salad with lots of eggs for 280 yen, which was really tasty with pickled vegetables. I also had the Thick Pork Okonomiyaki for 480 yen, which was delicious and satisfying. I paired these dishes with a Houjicha Shochu Highball for 250 yen, which was strong and supposedly helps prevent hangovers. I also tried the crispy Tempura. The highlight was the Otaru Ankake Yakisoba for 680 yen, which is highly recommended. The chef, who is from Hokkaido, takes pride in this dish. It's a soft yakisoba with a generous amount of toppings and a slightly thick ankake sauce that whets your appetite. It's a must-try dish! Thank you for the meal.

Cheap and delicious karaoke izakaya in Nishinari, Jay Maido! Yamadera here! On this day, I enjoyed some ladder sake in Nishinari~ This was the last place we visited~ I have also uploaded a video on YouTube, so please check it out if you're interested♬ As soon as we entered the restaurant, the customers were singing happily~ I started to feel excited too♬ However, for a karaoke izakaya, the prices are quite reasonable, don't you think(^^♪ I ordered a shochu highball with Kuro Kirishima for 300 yen♩ For food, I got the spicy salad with lots of egg and pickled mustard greens for 280 yen♩ Wow~ it looks delicious from the appearance alone! I tried it right away, and it's a spicy salad that I love with plenty of egg♬ It's incredibly delicious! They are also famous for their tempura, so I ordered some! I'll be trying the chikuwa for 80 yen, squid for 100 yen, and onion for 80 yen from the left♬ I'm eating them crispy and freshly fried with salt sprinkled on top. They are all very delicious, especially the squid which is tender and amazing! I definitely want to come back here with an empty stomach next time(^^♪ It has become my favorite place, so a revisit is confirmed. Thank you for the feast! ☆Basic Information☆ Address: 2-10-14 Sanno, Nishinari-ku, Osaka City Closed on: Tuesdays Business Hours: 17:00-24:00 Difficulty of entry for one person: ★★☆☆☆ (Average)

I visited a karaoke izakaya in Nishinari that I found out about on YouTube with my friends for the first time. We actually went there to kill time because a ramen shop nearby was opening late. However, we found that this place offers great value for karaoke and drinks, making it a good spot for first-timers. I highly recommend the "Nominosuke Set" recommended by Nishinari YouTuber Minosuke-san, which includes a drink (draft beer or highball) and three appetizers for just one coin. The owners of the shop are very friendly, and you can enjoy karaoke for just 100 yen per song. The mama-san of the shop even has a beautiful voice and could compete in karaoke battles. The drinks and food are more affordable compared to other karaoke izakayas in the Nishinari area, and there is no table charge. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a cheap and enjoyable karaoke izakaya in Nishinari.
