I came to this restaurant that seems to be an izakaya, but they are selling bento boxes. The store is registered as a yakitori restaurant, but in reality, it specializes in seafood izakaya. The location is in Kasumino, Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Due to the COVID-19 situation, they are not open for lunch currently, but they are planning to start in the new year. The owner's wife is selling the bento boxes at the storefront, and the customers keep coming in to buy them. The bento boxes are running out quickly, and they bring more from inside the store to replenish. I decided to buy the sardine fry bento for 500 yen. It came with plenty of rice, seaweed, and pickled daikon. The main fry was a bit cold, but it was still tasty with a salt and pepper seasoning. The sardine fry was small, but it had the same delicious flavor. I also found vinegar chicken and spaghetti in the bento box, along with tamagoyaki and chicken and daikon stew. The bento had a good balance of side dishes and rice, making it a satisfying meal. The tartar sauce that came with the fry was delicious and memorable. Even though I prefer warm meals, this bento was a great find and worth trying.

I found a great izakaya with delicious sashimi! It's rare to find a place with such tasty sashimi around here. They have tanks inside the restaurant where you can pick the fish you want, and they prepare it fresh and delicious. The fish was so fresh and had a nice texture. Despite the freshness, the prices were surprisingly affordable, and they serve a whole fish so you get a lot of sashimi. They also have a wide selection of drinks and other menu items, but the sashimi and fish are definitely the highlight and highly recommended!
