Today, I cooked up some energy and headed to Osaka on my bike with full determination! Let's go, Shobaku!! I didn't even stop at the bakery on the way, I went straight to the heart of Osaka city to eat a super seafood bowl with lots of ingredients. I arrived in front of the restaurant at 11:40 AM, a bit past opening time. The restaurant was on the left, with a parking lot and bike parking on the right. I easily parked my bike (100 yen for 60 minutes) and entered the restaurant, Saken Yayoi (1-18-3 Shimanouchi, Chuo-ku, Osaka). The place was almost full of customers, with three 4-seat counters and about 7-8 counter seats in the back. I found a cozy single seat at the corner as soon as I entered. Looking at the menu, I was determined to have the Sea Treasure Bowl Extreme for 1980 yen. I noticed that if I posted on Instagram or Stories, I would get a free drink. I was feeling hot from riding my bike, so I ordered the Sea Treasure Bowl Extreme and a Coke. I eagerly waited for the visually stunning bowl to arrive. The Coke came first, and I drank it to cool down. Finally, here it is: Sea Treasure Bowl Extreme for 1980 yen (Coke was free for Instagram post). It arrived on a tray, filled with plenty of seafood. This is what I wanted to eat! A luxurious bowl with miso soup, a small cold tofu, and pickled radish on the side. I had seen it on Instagram, and it was amazing with so many toppings. It was a happy dilemma to decide where to start eating. I enjoyed every ingredient, and halfway through, I needed more rice as the bottom layer ran out. Extra rice was free, so I asked for more. This is the kind of dish you eat with lots of rice. It was a seafood paradise in my mouth with various fish, sea urchin, salmon roe, and minced tuna mixing together. I finished with the miso soup to cleanse my palate. It was delicious, and all of this for under 2000 yen was a steal. I wanted to try the Seafood White Soup (110 yen) with seafood broth tea rice, but I'll have to save that for next time. There are still more restaurants I want to visit, so this concludes my review. I enjoyed a luxurious seafood bowl, thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation via Instagram DM at 6 pm on a weekday and visited the restaurant. I think it's possible to visit without a reservation on a weekday night, but it may get crowded later with people coming after work. I ordered the "Kaibako" (assorted sashimi), seared salmon, and tamago yaki (spicy cheese). Everything was delicious! I love salmon, so the seared salmon was amazing. I was happy to find salmon in the "koborezushi" as well. The potato salad served as an appetizer was also delicious. I didn't confirm if smoking was allowed... But the response on Instagram was very polite, and all the staff at the restaurant were wonderful ✨ Definitely recommend.

It's a holiday, but I found out on Instagram that they were open for lunch, so I decided to stop by. There were some changes in the lunch menu and prices, but it's understandable given the current situation. Of course, this restaurant wouldn't do anything disappointing! However, I got a little nervous so I didn't order the additional sea urchin. I had a great meal and it was a wonderful start to the long weekend.

About a year ago, I found Sakezen Yayoi on Instagram and decided to visit for their lunch-only seafood bowl. However, when I finally made it there, it was closed on that Saturday. I kept trying to go back, but always missed the lunch hours. Finally, after a year, I was able to visit for the first time. I tried their famous overflowing seafood bowl, which includes a luxurious selection of fresh sashimi and toppings like sea urchin and salmon roe. I also added extra sea urchin and salmon roe for a total of 3,380 yen. The bowl was overflowing with various seafood, and each bite was delicious. The sea urchin was incredibly tasty, with a smooth and sweet flavor. The salmon roe had a satisfying pop in every bite, and the large prawns were juicy and sweet. As I made my way through the bowl, I finally reached the warm rice at the bottom. The bowl did not have vinegared rice, but the warm rice was a nice touch. Towards the end, they served a white broth soup to enjoy with the remaining ingredients, which was a delightful way to end the meal. Overall, the seafood bowl was a delicious experience, with fresh and high-quality ingredients carefully selected by the owner. There was no unpleasant fishy smell throughout the meal, and the hospitality of the owner added to the enjoyable dining experience. Sakezen Yayoi is located a 2-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station Exit 4. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a wonderful seafood dining experience.

Oh no, I got caught up in the trendy food scene. It was a restaurant that really stood out. It was full of young people, which made it a bit embarrassing. I still don't quite get the appeal of trendy food. The dish was a mix of tasty and not-so-tasty items. I rate based on taste alone. A restaurant I want to go back to is not just about the taste. There are some places that are delicious but I don't want to revisit. I live to eat.

One minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station. Five minutes walk from Shinsaibashi. The shop on the first floor had several groups lined up in anticipation of the 11:30 am opening. By the time it opened, it was almost full. It seems they also run an izakaya at night. The cozy shop has about 8 counter seats and several table seats. The waitress, who seems to be the poster girl, is truly beautiful and charming. Some customers may come just to see her. Most customers order the specialty dish when they sit down. This time, I tried the "Overflowing Seafood Bowl"! It only took 5 minutes. Despite the crowd, the speed of service was impressive! Perhaps they prioritize speed during lunchtime. The seafood bowl comes with miso soup, pickles, and chilled tofu. As for the seafood bowl itself, it's not just overflowing, it's bursting with ingredients. Rice is apparently free for refills. The variety of seafood toppings is impressive, including shrimp, scallops, squid, mackerel, salmon, yellowtail, and sea bream. Except for the shrimp, each piece of sashimi is large and there are two pieces of each, which is incredibly generous. I was delighted to see a lot of white fish on the seafood bowl! With so many toppings, sometimes some can be dry, but all of them look glossy and appetizing. I started with the shrimp, which was surprisingly sweet despite not being sweet shrimp. The mackerel seemed to be raw, which was a rare find in Tokyo where mackerel is usually marinated. I was too full to get a rice refill, which is regrettable. I hope to try it next time! I'm interested in the Instagram-worthy seafood bowl. I went to Sakazenzai Yayoi near Nagahori Bridge. The restaurant has a layout where you can enter from the front or back, with only counter seats at the back. There are also table seats if you enter from Nagahori Street. The lunch menu includes various seafood bowls and set meals like fried chicken. The seafood bowls come with toppings like whitebait, salmon, and tuna. I ordered the overflowing seafood bowl with seafood white broth soup. The seafood bowl was filled with yellowtail, salmon, shrimp, mackerel, squid legs, shrimp, and negitoro, providing a satisfying meal. The seafood white broth soup was a bit salty but went well with the seafood rice bowl. I would like to try the overflowing seafood bowl again and other seafood dishes on the menu.

I was recommended this restaurant by an acquaintance's senior✨ I ordered the overflowing seafood bowl!! The toppings included head-on shrimp, shrimp, cured mackerel, red sea bream, salmon, squid, and maguro. The taste was delicious, and the portion size was just right. However, it was a bit greasy... Besides the cured mackerel, red sea bream, and shrimp, the other toppings were quite fatty, and I started to feel a bit heavy towards the end 😅 If the balance in that aspect could be improved a bit more, it would be great! When it comes to seafood bowl lunches, this is the place to go!! I visited Saken Yayoi after a long time. I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened and ordered the overflowing seafood bowl. When it was served, it made a huge impact!! A variety of fresh seafood was piled up without any gaps, creating a colorful display. The seafood used was always fresh, and you can tell because the rice in the bowl is warm. If the seafood isn't fresh, there should be a fishy smell, but there was none, proving the freshness. The seafood bowl was filled with high-quality ingredients and priced at around 1700 yen, which is quite reasonable!! If you're nearby, definitely stop by. Oh my goodness, this seafood bowl is just pure luxury. I find myself coming here diligently on weekdays off without any plans. While the other menu items are tempting, I always end up ordering the seafood bowl! It's just so addictive. I regret not discovering this place sooner. If only I had known earlier, I would have come here more often.

All the ingredients were big and chewy, and I definitely want to go eat gout hot pot again next year! The sashimi and liver we ordered separately were all delicious too! The staff's service was also very good, making it a pleasant experience drinking and eating! Next time, I want to go for lunch!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. Their menu is centered around seafood. As a big fan of purine-rich foods, I naturally ordered the "Gout Special," which is topped with rock oysters, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The "Treasure Box" is a seafood platter with a variety of sashimi that can serve 2-3 people, and it's quite a generous portion for just under 1000 yen, making it a great deal. The foie gras and dashimaki were also delicious. They also offer various seafood bowls and fresh chicken dishes, making it a pretty good restaurant overall.

I finally went to have lunch at Sakuzen Yayoi, a place I've always wanted to try! The menu I ordered is as follows: - Toro 3-color bowl for 1,870 yen - Overflowing seafood bowl for 1,870 yen - Uni topping Isn't the overflowing seafood bowl amazing?! It had a lot of seafood in it, and it was not only visually appealing but also delicious. I love sea urchin so much that I added it as an extra ❤️ It was a slightly luxurious lunch! They only serve lunch on weekdays, so if you can go on a weekday, give it a try! When I visited during regular opening hours, the restaurant was full and I had to wait for the second seating. Each piece of sashimi was large, and you can even get extra rice with your bowl! The generous portions made the rice go down easily. The salmon was delicious, and although the sea urchin was pricey this time, I would like to try other types of fish if I have the chance.

The Salmon and Ikura Parent and Child Bowl was overflowing with salmon and tiny ikura, making it difficult to know where to start eating! The freshness and richness of the salmon, along with the firm texture of the ikura, made it delicious. The thick cuts of salmon provided a satisfying meal, and even with extra rice, there was still not enough to go around due to the generous portion of salmon. Thank you for the delicious meal.
