I went on a 2-day gourmet expedition in Osaka! The main attraction was a French restaurant on the second day, but since I had some time before dinner, I decided to visit a cafe near the hotel that I found on Instagram. I arrived at 2 pm, and the cafe was full, so I had to wait for about 10 minutes. By the time I left around 3 pm, there was a line of about 8 groups waiting, showing that it is a popular place. The exterior of the cafe is characterized by its unique roof, and the interior is spacious and stylish with high ceilings. Upon entering, the staff led me to my table, and after securing a seat, I placed my order and paid at the counter near the entrance. There was a showcase near the counter displaying a variety of delicious-looking sweets. I later found out that this cafe is owned by the son of the founder of ""Nakanitei,"" a renowned patisserie in Osaka. It is known for specializing in coffee and chocolate. I decided to try a chocolate-based dessert: - Aurora (¥700): A chocolate mousse made with Mexican cacao beans. It has a simple yet stylish appearance, and the smooth texture melts in your mouth. The bitterness of the cacao stands out, making it rich and satisfying. The light and smooth whipped cream on top adds a touch of sweetness. I could tell that they pay attention not only to the taste but also to the texture and aroma. I found it very delicious and am curious about their other freshly made sweets. - Iced Cafe Latte (¥650): The balance of coffee and milk is perfect, with a slightly stronger coffee flavor giving it a bit of bitterness. It is easy to drink and complements the sweets well. I recommend trying it with a dessert. This cafe also offers a chocolate tasting experience and coffee pairing, allowing you to enjoy different flavors, tastes, and finishes of chocolate. It is a popular spot, so it might be best to avoid the busy hours between 2 pm and 4 pm. I would love to visit again when I return to Osaka. The second store of "YARD Coffee&Craft Chocolate" in Tennoji. The interior is sleek and stylish, with a limited menu compared to the Tennoji store. They offer a Geisha coffee and a unique almond muffin. I ordered a cafe latte for ¥650 and the almond muffin for ¥480. The almond muffin was crispy on the outside, with a light and fluffy whole wheat interior, not too sweet, and with a hint of chocolate. The cafe latte, made with Guatemalan beans, was delicious with a perfect balance of milk. The staff were very friendly and I look forward to visiting again.

▶︎ Just a 5-minute walk from Tennoji ▶︎ Delicious scones in an open space ▶︎ Perfect for solo dining! I finally made it to YARD coffee house as I had some errands nearby. I love cafes with a view outside or large windows, so I enjoyed my luxurious time alone in the open and spacious interior! It was a weekday morning so it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. The scones were not too hard and easy to eat, and delicious. I would love to go back again with a book and spend some relaxing time there. ^_^

The interior of the shop is quiet and spacious, making it comfortable to spend time in. The sweets all looked delicious, so it was hard to choose. It's not too far from Tennoji Station, so I think it's a perfect cafe for a leisurely chat.
