Had lunch with friends in Sapporo♡ The fatty herring and octopus, which are rarely eaten in Honshu, were delicious. We were also lucky to be able to try the tuna cheek, which allowed us to discover a new side of tuna (lol). I usually only eat tuna red meat, but I was surprised to find that the texture and taste can vary so much just by trying different parts of the same fish. I definitely want to go back again.

The day after eating sushi in Sendai, I came to this restaurant in Sapporo. I arrived around 6:30 pm. Since reservations are not accepted, I wrote my name and waited. I was able to get in after about 10 minutes. It seems to be less crowded here than at Sapporo Station. The seared sushi was delicious. The photo is for two people. I also had drinks, and it cost 3300 yen per person.

Visited the store before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Stella Place had a wait of 55 groups, and Daiwa Seimei Building had a wait of over 30 groups displayed. Just when I was about to give up, I discovered this shop! I was pleasantly surprised when I went to see the clock tower. I was seated at a table without having to wait in line. The prices are slightly higher than a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the quality of the fish is the same. If you consider the time you would spend waiting in line and the relaxed atmosphere, this is a highly recommended restaurant.

On Sunday, a little after 3pm, my wife and I came for a late lunch. The place was not too crowded at this time, with over half of the tables occupied. We started with some Hokkai shrimp and beer for a casual afternoon drink. Then, we ordered a sashimi platter, shrimp tempura, onion salad, and sweet potato tempura. The sashimi included fresh herring, flounder, and whelk, all delicious. The shrimp tempura was crispy and juicy, with three large prawns. The freshly fried sweet potato tempura was also flavorful. We were already quite satisfied at this point, but we couldn't resist ordering some sushi. We ended up very full and satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

At the end of my trip to Hokkaido with my mother, we went to Nemuro Hanamaru. It was near our hotel and when we arrived around 5pm, there were about 5 groups waiting. It's not a conveyor belt sushi place, but the prices are probably similar. We were seated after about a 30-minute wait. The restaurant wasn't full, but it seemed like they were short-staffed as we had to ask for the wet towels and were made to wait after ordering. The staff seemed friendly and relaxed, not rushed at all. Since we weren't in a hurry, my mother and I enjoyed Hokkaido sushi while chatting. It cost a little over 6,000 yen for the two of us. I had about 3 or 4 beers, so I didn't eat too much.

For the first dinner of my trip to Hokkaido, I had sushi. This restaurant is right next to the clock tower. I took a photo at the clock tower and then went straight to the restaurant. However, there were already several groups waiting in line outside the restaurant. I wrote my name down and waited for about 30 minutes before being seated at the counter. I ordered a beer and various types of sushi such as medium fatty tuna, squid, octopus, and snow crab, as shown in the photo. They were all delicious. It made me realize that sushi is made of fish, not meat, and that sushi is all about the rice and the fish. And it's cheap too. Sushi is the best.

It is a hidden gem near the clock tower. I had the "Special Deluxe 7 Varieties" which included sea urchin, amberjack, herring, scallop, marinated small fish, and flounder fin. It was served with a rich crab-flavored soup. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The total bill was 2806 yen for a beer (600 yen), a seasonal sushi platter with 7 varieties (1700 yen), and an additional herring sushi (506 yen). The restaurant is usually crowded, but I was able to get in easily this time. The food was delicious as expected. Among the 7 varieties on the platter, the cod roe and salmon roe were a bit lacking for me, but the flounder, amberjack, and tuna were excellent. The mackerel and spear squid were also very good. The herring I ordered as an extra was from the local area (Abashiri) and was the best. I had to eat quickly this time because I had somewhere to be, but next time I would like to sit back and enjoy my meal. Being able to eat seasonal local ingredients is also a big plus.

[Access] Located inside a building near the clock tower, so be careful not to get lost by entering the wrong entrance. [Ambiance] It's a lively sushi restaurant. [Menu] I ordered the lunch set since it was lunchtime, and it was recommended. The lunch set includes soup, chawanmushi, and sushi. The soup and chawanmushi are delicious as well ^^ [Taste] The most important thing, the taste, is really delicious and reasonable considering the price. [Service] [Recommended for] If you want to eat sushi that is more delicious than popular chain sushi restaurants but not as expensive as high-end sushi restaurants, this is the place for you. It's recommended for those who want to purely enjoy sushi without it being too cheap or too expensive!

It's been a while since I visited Sapporo. I went to my usual sushi restaurant, Shikihana Maru at the Clock Tower branch. Started with a draft beer and tried the lunch set for the first time on a weekday. The fish soup was generous and delicious. The sushi was consistently good, but I didn't find any standout pieces this time. Wanted to try more, so I ordered the Hokkaido specialties, octopus and flounder with fat. They were delicious with rich flavors. I think it's better to order a la carte rather than the set. Also got a "Hanakomachi" set as a souvenir for my mother, which includes Hokkaido specialties like crab miso, scallop, and surf clam. Will definitely come back again.

I visited Hanamaru during my sightseeing trip in Hokkaido. Located right next to the Clock Tower, it is a non-rotating sushi restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious, with both counter and table seating available. I chose the lunch set with a main focus on nigiri sushi. It came with 10 pieces of nigiri, miso soup, and chawanmushi, and I was very full afterwards. The sushi pieces were thick and satisfying. I arrived around 1:30 pm and the restaurant was relatively empty, with the food coming out quickly.

I arrived after 11:30 and was able to enter the restaurant without waiting in line. I sat at the counter, but there were empty seats, including at the tables, until I left around 12 o'clock, so it seems that unlike the revolving sushi restaurant Kaitenzushi, you can enter relatively quickly without waiting. The sushi lunch set was 1,580 yen. I felt that the nigiri and chawanmushi were worth the price. I liked the Komai's Sanpei soup.

This is a sushi chain restaurant located in the basement of the Clock Tower Building, but it is not a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. They offer three lunch options, and I chose the one with soba noodles. Unlike conveyor belt sushi restaurants where the sushi pieces are large, the sushi here is on the smaller side. The soba noodles come in a generous portion. The restaurant is spacious and has an open atmosphere. I wonder if it gets crowded on weekends.

I visited the restaurant the day after the Sapporo Dome live concert for lunch (Sunday). Originally, we planned to go to a restaurant at Stella Tower, but due to a past traumatic experience of waiting for 2 hours, we decided to go to this non-revolving sushi restaurant instead. We arrived about 15 minutes before opening and wrote down our names (there were already 3 groups waiting at that time), and we were seated as soon as they opened. We were seated at a table in the back of the counter seats, which was perfect for our group of 3. The Kanimiso Clay Grill came with hot kanimiso on a battleship that we had to put on ourselves... it was hot enough to burn, but the kanimiso became even richer and tastier when grilled. The horse mackerel with melting fat had a fragrant aroma that lingered in the nose as soon as you put it in your mouth. The squid, which paired perfectly with mountain wasabi, was moist and tender, living up to expectations. The scallops, ikura, uni, and other delicacies were delicious as expected. When we asked for the bill at the end, a staff member came to count the stacked plates, and that's when we finally understood the meaning of "non-revolving sushi." This time, we were able to enjoy the sushi at Nemuro Hanamaru without waiting in line at all, so we were very satisfied.

I decided to eat sushi at this restaurant after researching because I wanted to have it at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. I arrived 30 minutes before opening and was the third in line. The sushi was all fresh and reasonably priced, and very delicious. I was very satisfied. The high level of Hokkaido's sushi as rumored overwhelmed me. Thank you for the meal.

In May, when I wanted to go to a revolving sushi restaurant in Sapporo for the first time in a while, the popular places were crowded even at odd hours. However, I remembered a certain place and decided to try it out. Luckily, there wasn't much of a line, so I waited for about 10 minutes before visiting. It was the Shiki Hanamaru Tokiwaitei store near Sapporo Station. The store is located near the Clock Tower, but since it's underground, it may not stand out much. Hanamaru offers all-day service, which is convenient. I considered other Hanamaru locations like Stellar, which was expected to be crowded, Susukino was a bit far, and the Miredo store had a 20-group wait, which was unbelievable. I thought about the Clock Tower store and found a 3-group wait, so I waited. I was lucky to get a seat at the counter, which is great for a sushi restaurant because you can see the chefs at work. I had: - Sapporo Classic Medium for 561 yen - Sapporo Classic Small for 385 yen - Fresh squid with wasabi for 308 yen - Fresh squid with yuzu salt for 308 yen - Tuna red meat for 506 yen - Fresh cod roe hand roll for 506 yen - Crab soup for 495 yen - Grilled mackerel for 308 yen - Fresh cod with kelp for 506 yen - Seared fatty salmon with soy sauce for 506 yen - Sea bream with yuzu salt for 506 yen - Seared eel with soy sauce for 506 yen - Squid legs for 308 yen Overall, the food was delicious, especially the squid and sea bream. The counter seat allowed me to see the chefs at work, making the experience even more enjoyable. The prices were reasonable, and I would definitely visit again.

Today I was in the mood for sushi, around 13:30 on a weekday. The first place I tried had an open seat but seemed too busy, so I decided to try this place nearby for the first time. I had been to another branch before and it was delicious, so I thought I couldn't go wrong here. There was about an 8-person wait, but I was seated fairly quickly as they were just switching tables. I ordered the lunch set for 1540 yen, which included sushi, soup, and chawanmushi. The sushi included tuna, white fish, salmon, tamago, negitoro, tobiko, scallop, hondashi, octopus, sweet shrimp, and sea bream. Hmm, the vinegar is weak, not very tasty? The rice also falls apart...it crumbles when picked up with chopsticks...The best were the scallop, followed by the chawanmushi, and the soup was also good. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was a bit disappointed with the sushi. Maybe it was just a one-time thing?

This is a non-rotating conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The branch at Sapporo Station is always crowded, but this one feels relatively easy to get into. Today, I ordered the lunch set which came with 10 pieces of sushi, soup, and chawanmushi for 1540 yen. It felt like a good deal. The sushi was all delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited for lunch. It's Hanamaru on the first floor of the Clock Tower Building. It was a bit of a wait for lunch, but I was called in about 10 minutes after writing my name. The photo shows the lunch set for 1,540 yen, which includes 10 pieces of sushi, soup, and chawanmushi. I also ordered zangi. The sushi in Hokkaido is delicious!

When it comes to Hokkaido, seafood is a must. Instead of my usual quick ramen, I decided to have sushi this time. Nemuro Hanamaru is a popular spot, but the long lines and wait time were too much for me. I heard the Tokeidai branch is less crowded, so I headed there. I arrived a little after 11 am and put my name on the board outside, only to find out there was an 8-person wait. I ended up waiting for an hour before getting in. I planned to have a quick lunch set, but it turns out it's only available on weekdays. I ordered the raw 5-piece set instead. It arrived quickly and tasted delicious, but it didn't quite live up to my high expectations. I added some tuna to my order, but it didn't change my overall impression. The sushi was definitely good, but maybe I had set my hopes too high. I realized I couldn't linger and decided to leave. Thank you for the meal.
