At Osaka Station, there is a popular izakaya called Osaka-ya Maido! Yamadera where you can enjoy morning drinks starting from 7am! On this day, we enjoyed some morning drinks in the Osaka Umeda area. The restaurant is the popular Osaka-ya where you can drink from 7am. The atmosphere and detailed information about the restaurant can also be found on YouTube for your reference. Let's enter the restaurant! The first floor is for standing and the second floor is for sitting, but it seems like you can also sit on the first floor now. We start with a plain chu-hi for 420 yen. For food, we try the domestic beef raw senmai for 700 yen. It's really delicious with a crispy texture and no unpleasant smell. Another dish we try is the pork kimchi for 550 yen. It's a perfect accompaniment to drinks with kimchi, pork, bean sprouts, and cabbage. We also have the simmered mackerel for 450 yen, which is sweet and savory with a nice fatty texture. It's a simmered dish that makes you want to have some rice. For a finish, let's have the red wiener for 450 yen. It's a nostalgic choice for those born in the Showa era. Simply dip it in ketchup for a delicious treat. This place is exciting with a variety of dishes and drinks available from early in the morning. I have visited many times and always leave fully satisfied. Thank you for the meal. Osaka-ya Basic Information: Address: 9-22 Kakuta-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Shin-Umeda Shokudo-gai 1-2F Closed: Year-end holidays Business Hours: 7:00-23:00 Smoking allowed.

On Sunday morning in Osaka, I transferred from JR to Hankyu and took a bit of a detour to enter this shop. It was surprising to see so many people drinking beer early in the morning, including young girls, starting from 8 am. It was peaceful and nice. Since I had work later, I chose the morning set meal of tororo rice for 350 yen without alcohol. It was served in just 5 minutes. The meal included white rice with tororo and wasabi, miso soup, and pickles. I felt that tororo rice lacked flavor, maybe adding a bit of dashi would improve it. The miso soup, on the other hand, had a strong dashi flavor. The pickles were sweet. It was a satisfying meal.

Thank you very much. I was lost trying to find a place where I could drink from 7 in the morning, but I was saved. At this time of year, the cold wind is strong, but I was able to drink comfortably. The bill was reasonable too, which was nice. This is a must-visit place in the morning in Umeda.

I usually go to Fukushima for stand-up drinking, but today I went to the long-established Osaka-ya in Umeda. The space at the counter was so crowded that it was difficult to get in. I ordered a highball for 380 yen and observed the situation. The oden and Kanto-style simmered dishes looked delicious, so I ordered potatoes and daikon. The flavor was strong, but the broth was salty and delicious, with a good amount of Western ingredients which made me happy. I noticed that everyone was ordering things not on the menu, so maybe there's a rule for regulars here. I had one more highball and left after 30 minutes, paying 1180 yen. It was full of Osaka charm, but for some reason, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. It felt strange that there were many solo customers.

Today, my friend Macaroni and I, after finishing our drinking session with Umeda Teishizake, decided to go to another place in Umeda food district. However, most places were closing down. So, we reluctantly headed to that place under the overpass - Osaka-ya. It was hot inside with the air conditioning on. The heat from under the overpass, combined with the heat from our previous drinking session, made my body temperature rise. I felt like I might be catching a cold, but no, it's just been too hot recently in Japan. As soon as we entered, Macaroni started ordering like a storm, and the staff had to confirm the order multiple times. He ordered simmered dishes, suji-pon, oden-nimono, and potato salad. I didn't even know what I ordered. Beer with side dishes, and the ultimate side dish, Macaroni, was having a great time again today. Despite ordering a strong highball, it wasn't as strong as expected. Macaroni seemed to be enjoying the simmered dishes and suji-pon. I love pickled vegetables. If they're on the menu, they're a must-order for me. That's what old men like, right? Pickled vegetables. They soothe my tired body with their sourness. Meanwhile, Macaroni devoured the oden plate as if he hadn't eaten in ages. He must have been really hungry. After stimulating his satiety center like a Doberman, he suddenly said, "Let's go get ramen." Alright, let's go anywhere. Until we catch the last train. Wherever it may be. Unaware that we might miss the last train, we enjoyed a feast at Osaka-ya. Thank you for the treat!

I went there around 10 in the morning and the restaurant was almost full and bustling. There was a constant flow of people coming in and out. The Stamina Yaki, which is like a mix of simmered dish and kimchi, was delicious and satisfying. The cheese spring rolls, three for 450 yen, were decent. The highball was also good and reasonably priced at 390 yen. It's not super cheap, but you can feel the warmth of Osaka people and it's a welcoming place for solo diners.

A nice izakaya in the Shin Umeda Food Street. I visited on a scorching hot day and the back seats were wonderfully cool thanks to the strong air conditioning. It was easy to go in alone. I ordered fried bamboo shoots, pork and bean sprout stir-fry, a regular shochu highball, and then upgraded to a large shochu highball. The food was decent and the atmosphere was nice, so I left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

After arriving at Osaka Station, I wanted to have a drink with my friends, so we went to Osaka-ya for their Osaka-ya Highball. It was close to closing time, so they had stopped taking orders for grilled dishes. We ordered the plate of raw fish and octopus instead. Next time, I want to take it easy and enjoy the food there.

I went out for work this day and got permission to go straight home afterwards. So, I decided to stop by this restaurant in the new Umeda food alley for a drink before heading home. I arrived around 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was not too crowded. I ordered a 500ml draft beer for 520 yen (Kirin Ichiban Shibori) and kizushi (sushi rolls) for 450 yen. The cost performance was not as good as the restaurants in Osaka Station Building, but it was still reasonable. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly. If I don't feel like going all the way to Osaka Station Building, I might stop by here again, as long as it stays within 1,000 yen. After this, I went to have dinner with a friend, so I left the restaurant quickly. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to have a highball at a standing bar near Umeda Station, so I explored the Shin Umeda Food Street. It was crowded everywhere, but luckily Osaka-ya had an open spot, so I decided to visit! I enjoyed an Osaka highball after a long time, while ordering some random standing bar snacks. Yep, red Vienna sausages are the best! \(//∇//)\

I am familiar with the call to enter around 14:30 and start standing drinking before 15:00. With the removal of COVID restrictions and acrylic boards, it's a shame that I won't be able to enjoy the oden that starts at 15:00. I had a Dotemix and a draft beer for a total of 970 yen. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

If you want to have a standing drink near Osaka Station, then you should definitely go to "Osaka-ya." You can look at the menu and small dishes on the table to decide on your order. Of course, start with a drink - a bottled beer! Would you like Asahi or Kirin? Asahi, please! For the dish, I decided on fried horse mackerel (I had decided on the train). First, pour the beer into a glass, take a sip (delicious!), and then wait leisurely while looking around at the menu. When the fried horse mackerel arrives, I gulp it down, and for some reason, my eyes also went to the horse mackerel in vinegar, so I ended up ordering that too. They were both horse mackerel dishes, but they had different flavors - it was so delicious! Thank you for the meal! Paid with PayPay, it cost 1300 yen.

It's more like morning than noon. Went for a walk to Umeda in search of horse racing tickets, followed by morning drinking. For breakfast, had a set meal with red sausages and mixed pork innards. Had a Kirin large bottle. For the second round, had octopus tempura, potato salad, and quail. Enjoyed the delicious food and nice atmosphere. Morning drinking is the best, thank you for the meal. Hopefully my horse racing ticket wins.

Visited on May 12, 2023 at 10:45 AM, and the place was almost full. This restaurant in Shin-Umeda Food Street opens from 7 AM, making it a rare find. Welcomed by the staff, I ordered a large bottle of beer, potato salad, fried horse mackerel, fried chikuwa, and negitoro. The potato salad had a slightly salty taste, perfect with alcohol. The negitoro, wrapped in seaweed with green onions and tuna, was delicious. The fried chikuwa had a crispy coating, perfect with beer. The freshly fried horse mackerel was small but incredibly tasty. I also had two highballs and another bottle of beer, totaling 3,770 yen for three people. The cost performance was unbelievable. It's no wonder the place was bustling from early in the morning. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

This is a restaurant open for business from morning. We visited two places, "Suita's Okappiki Face" and "The Pure Man of Pleasure and Self-Loathing." It is said that the son of Osamu-chan from the famous comedy duo The Bunch is running the place, and there are photos and portraits of Osamu-chan displayed inside. Although the first floor has a standing bar area, we were guided to the second floor as the table seats were full. We ordered dishes such as "Wakatake Nabe" and items from the short menu like ham cutlet, negi okonomiyaki, omurice, and grilled onigiri. Being an established restaurant, the food was quite delicious when we were hungry. The authentic omurice with demiglace sauce was particularly praised by everyone. Another highlight of this place is its proximity to JR Osaka Station. You can drink until 10 minutes before the train departs. Currently rated 3.47 on Tabelog. This is a izakaya restaurant located along the national highway in Shin-Umeda Food Street. It's the perfect first stop for a Umeda bar-hopping night. This Osaka-style izakaya opens early in the morning, right under the JR elevated tracks, giving off a nostalgic vibe of a under-the-tracks bar. When I visited around 9 am, about half of the seats were already taken. The customers were a mix of elderly people and salarymen who just finished their night shifts. I sat at the counter and ordered a bottle of beer. I picked two small dishes from the selection in front of me and asked the owner to heat them up. The background music was old-school enka songs accompanied by the sound of rattling trains. The morning beer was soothing to my body and soul. This is the essence of Showa era coolness. I ordered another highball and asked for the bill as the seats started to fill up. It's time to give up my seat. Thank you for the meal.

On April 30, 2023, Sunday, at 2:03 PM, I visited La Mer, a restaurant in Kouri-en that I truly love. The owner, who has trained for 40 years, runs the original La Mer. Today, I visited after enjoying food and drinks with friends at Shominsan in Kyobashi and Okamuro. Although I couldn't eat much, the taste was excellent. Especially the Doteyaki was amazing, just like the one at La Mer. It contains beef tendon, daikon radish, and konjac, all the same ingredients. The best Doteyaki taste. You can have Doteyaki for 450 yen including tax. The person pictured with me is the current president of Osaka-ya. He's quite handsome! I also had the Dashimaki Tamago for 450 yen including tax. It tastes just like La Mer's. When I called La Mer's owner, she said the okara tastes the same too! Unfortunately, they were sold out of okara. I will definitely visit again. The great teacher who raised La Mer's owner is the owner of this Osaka-ya. Today, I paid 1420 yen including tax when leaving, but I wish I could have had more. Thank you for the truly delicious dishes today. Thank you, Atsushi Hamamura. Thank you very much for reading my review until the end. If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for your continued support.

I had sauce yakisoba at an izakaya. After a company gathering at Mango Tree Cafe, the gentlemen relaxed at a casual izakaya. Located under the elevated tracks near Osaka Station, the first floor is for standing while the second floor has seating. Each person had to order one dish, so we ordered edamame, potato salad, and I had the sauce yakisoba. We also had plenty of drinks like sake, whiskey, and more. Fancy Thai cuisine is nice, but this place is more relaxing.

A izakaya that opens from 7 am! It's great that you can enter around 10 am! By 10:30 it's fully booked... even on a weekday... amazing. The atmosphere is nice here! I should try exploring the Shin-Umeda dining district next time! Total cost: 1820 yen! - Large bottle of beer: 520 yen - Dashimaki: 450 yen - It's more tightly packed than fluffy! - Grilled beef liver: 500 yen - My favorite! Rich liver and rich seasoning! Perfect for stealing sips of sake! A strong and satisfying snack! - Beef croquette: 350 yen - Fluffy and creamy! The sauce pairs well with beer! Recommendation: Taste: ★★★★☆ Service: ★★★★☆ Cost performance: ★★★★☆ Recommendation: ★★★★☆ - Restaurant name: Osaka-ya - Address: 1-2F, Shin Umeda Shokudo-gai, 9-22 Tsunoda-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture - Phone number: 06-6361-4881 #OsakaGourmet #ConnectingWithFoodLovers #UmedaGourmet #MorningDrinking #DayDrinking #Osaka-ya #Izakaya

I used the Youth 18 Ticket to travel around the Kansai region and enjoyed exploring local cuisine. Around 9 in the morning, as I was walking through the Shin-Umeda Food Street, I saw a sign for the breakfast menu outside the famous standing bar "Osaka-ya". It was unusual to have breakfast at an izakaya, so I decided to change my plans and went in for breakfast. The inside of the restaurant still had about half the seats empty, but within 5 minutes it was quickly filled up. There were people enjoying a morning drink after work as well. The breakfast menu offered three options: tamago gohan (egg rice), tororo gohan (grated yam rice), and natto gohan (fermented soybean rice), each served with miso soup and pickles for 350 yen. I ordered the tororo gohan, which had grated nagaimo (yam) and wasabi on top of the rice. It was a delicious treat to have tororo gohan after a long time. The miso soup had a fishy flavor from the fish stock, and the pickles had a crispy texture with a fragrant sweet and sour taste. It was truly a blessing to have a 350 yen breakfast in the bustling city center.
