In the basement of Daimaru, there is a place called "Uokumi BAR" where you can enjoy sushi and seafood bowls in a casual atmosphere. The seating is only at the counter, but it is not intimidating. In addition to the menu on the counter, this time I tried the overflowing gunkan sushi for 1650 yen, which was small but visually appealing. The Uokumi bowl for 1800 yen was enough on its own. It's a bit small for a bowl, even for a family, but the pricing is clear. It was really delicious!

Bon Festival season is crowded everywhere, with long lines at every store. Fortunately, we were able to get in right away at the fish-kumi shop. Today, we enjoyed ikura gunkan as a snack, my wife had beer, and I had sweet potato shochu. It's a typical way for a frugal drinker to enjoy their drinks. It's a good deal and quite delicious. The assorted sashimi doesn't feel as worth it, as it's just like eating the same fish without the rice, which we'll have later with sushi. We finished off by sharing a parent-child bowl. This drinking and dining style is quite cost-effective. Let's not think too deeply about the ikura in the parent-child bowl. We casually ate and drank and left the restaurant.

On the midsummer day of the Ox, there are usually long lines at eel restaurants, so it's best to avoid eel on that day. However, I have a secret strategy: go for eel sushi. So, I went to Fishkumi and bought a domestic morning-grilled eel set for 3500 yen. It was a whole eel, a special treat for midsummer day. The appearance was gorgeous, and the taste was delicious! The eel paired perfectly with the sushi rice, and the tamagoyaki (egg omelet) was excellent too. Drizzling the eel sauce enhanced the flavor. It was so good that I couldn't stop eating. I indulged in this luxury for midsummer day, enjoying the perfect combination of eel and sushi rice. The eel was so tasty that I ended up eating it separately at the end. Despite being a rushed preparation, it was surprisingly delicious. It's no wonder it's chosen as a takeout sushi at Daimaru. The tuna was also satisfying and to my liking.

The red miso soup with fish head broth was delicious. The sushi restaurant also had tasty pickled ginger. The simmered conger eel was fluffy and tender, and the rice was generously sized. The Hokkai Deluxe Bowl with 6 different toppings was satisfying. The eel and cucumber roll had a nice texture and flavor from the seaweed.

I visited once again! It's a counter-only shop, but you can also eat at the nearby food court! Today's recommended dish is the 8-piece sushi set - always fresh! After eating, you can buy fresh fish next door! The likelihood of stopping by when in Daimaru is quite high! Definitely check it out, everyone.

I left it up to the chef again for 2,200 yen, and it was absolutely delicious! You can also order one piece at a time! It might be nice to enjoy a beer slowly as well! I definitely want to come back. It's counter seating only, but there are three staff members, so you can enjoy your meal smoothly. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service.

For today's lunch, I had seafood bowl at a counter seat at Fish Kumi. As usual, the minimal customer service from the chef, I started with a drink (sweet potato shochu) and sashimi, enjoying a holiday meal with some daytime drinking. For the finale, I ordered the Hokkai seafood bowl. The seafood bowl at this restaurant is always generously portioned. They offer free extra rice, but I was worried that if I added more rice, the ikura might spill over. Nevertheless, I managed to finish it all.

Located on the 2nd floor of Daimaru in Shinsaibashi, Fishkumi is a takeout sushi specialty store. However, it is possible to eat there in the food court. I had the usual Maguro Zukushi, which includes red tuna, chu-toro, and toro tekka, for 1727 yen. The red tuna had a good acidity, the chu-toro had a bit of fat, and the toro tekka had the authentic taste of maguro. It is likely that they use farmed maguro from abroad, but it's satisfying enough. Next, I tried the domestic eel cucumber roll for 755 yen. It had plenty of eel and was quite delicious with its rich fat content. I casually got my EPA intake. Since the popular revolving sushi chain Sushiro has raised its prices and is currently in a bit of a slump, I didn't feel like going there. Eating this takeout in the food court feels more fulfilling. Both the maguro and eel are rich in EPA, so they seem to be good for the body.

Overflowing battleship ¥1650, squid and cucumber roll ¥275, draft beer ¥550. The restaurant is located in the food court on the B2 floor of Daimaru. Next to it, sashimi and sushi were being sold and looked delicious, so I decided to eat at the actual store. I sat at the counter, looked at the menu, and ordered the impressive overflowing battleship and draft beer. Just like in the menu photo, it's overflowing! I used the spilled pieces as appetizers, took a big sip of beer, and grabbed a piece of sushi. Yum! Even though I'm not a fan of sea urchin, I could eat it, along with the popping salmon roe, negitoro, crab, and other luxurious options. I put the spilled salmon roe on top of the sea urchin battleship and enjoyed it. Finished it all. Thank you for the delicious meal. It was tasty. 6.8

Located in the basement 2nd floor food hall of Daimaru Shinsaibashi store. The seating is only at the counter! Lunchtime is limited with complimentary red miso soup! This is great (only available for the counter meal with bowls and sushi!) This time I arrived right at 11:00! - Overflowing Gunkan (sushi) ¥1,650 The visual appearance is amazing! I just wanted to keep taking pictures haha. Ikura, uni, toro, crab! Oh man, everything was delicious. Since it's operated by a fishmonger, it was incredibly tasty. Especially the toro was the best. - Seafood Fish Bowl ¥1,980 This is the most popular seafood bowl here! The variety of seafood is just amazing! How many kinds are in there~✨ It gets you excited just by looking at it! I had the overflowing gunkan, but this one seemed to have quite a volume! haha There were also sashimi and the menu had a wide variety of options! It was great that it's open from 11:00 to 23:00 in the food hall!

It's a pretty popular place, so the counter is often full, but I visited around 2 o'clock this day. I started with some sashimi and a few glasses of sweet potato shochu on the rocks, and finished with the "Salmon and Ikura" parent and child bowl. There was a lot of ikura on top for the price, making it a great deal. Just the ikura alone was worth it, and I could have more drinks (laughs)

It's hot today! But I can feel the autumn breeze blowing and gradually getting cooler. I'm in Shinsaibashi today and I want to try some seafood. So, I came to "Uokumi Uo BAR" on the 2nd floor of Daimaru. It's just before 3 PM on a Sunday and there are only 2 other customers. I looked at the menu and ordered the seafood Uokumi donburi. The amount of rice was just right, not too much. It was delicious. Next time, I want to try the overflowing battleship sushi! I'll come back again.

【Fish Catch Fish BAR】Located in the food court on the B2 floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi directly connected from Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line! After seeing recommendations from @yk_mg18 and @dmotoji, I decided to check it out! I was a bit skeptical about a department store food court, but it pleasantly surprised me! The overflowing battleship sushi looks great and the seafood bowls priced at 1650 yen all look delicious! I definitely want to try the premium Fish Catch Fish Bowl next time! Thank you for the meal! Opening hours: 10:00-23:00 Closed on days when Daimaru is closed.

Seafood bowl for ¥980! You can enjoy a seafood bowl with 11 different toppings for only ¥980! Such a great deal! The area under Daimaru seems to be a hidden gem with many different restaurants. The seafood bowl was delicious, and I was happy to see plenty of my favorite shrimp. Next time, I want to try a higher-grade bowl. The only downside was that the bowl looked different in terms of color and size from the photo, which was a bit disappointing.

I went to the Fish Bar in the food hall on the 2nd floor of Daimaru in Shinsaibashi. I usually order the special selection of 10 pieces of sushi. The presentation was beautiful and the sushi looked delicious. They served steamed abalone, sea urchin, salmon roe, shrimp with miso, seared blackthroat seaperch, yellowtail, tuna, flounder, fatty tuna, and a single eel roll. The chef must be from Fukuisushi. The meal ended with steamed abalone again. It was a luxurious experience for around 3000 yen. The quality of the fish was great and I enjoyed it. It's a good option for a light meal when you're a bit hungry. I plan to come back in the future.

I visited a casual seafood restaurant in the food hall at Daimaru where MyRebi-sama had been. The system was a bit confusing, but there was a free space where you could take out food from various shops and eat together. Since I was alone and wanted to have beer, I decided to eat at the counter of the restaurant. I had a draft beer for 400 yen and the overflowing gunkan sushi for 1480 yen. This gunkan sushi had so much uni and ikura, it was amazing! The taste was pretty good too, and it went well with the beer. It would be fun to go with a group and share dishes from different shops in the food hall. It was enjoyable dining alone, but I think it would be even more fun with friends. Now, I'm off to the bar in the middle of the food hall. Thank you for the meal!

Today, instead of dinner, I visited Fish Kumi-san. It's still a popular restaurant. The counter was full, but luckily I was able to sit down thanks to a departing customer. I forgot to take a photo, but today I had a sashimi platter with four kinds of fish and enjoyed it with sweet potato shochu. They had some good fatty tuna today, so they gave me a little extra as a service. It was delicious and melt-in-your-mouth. For the finishing touch, I had a Hokkai seafood bowl. It was quite a generous portion, so I should have asked for less rice. Thanks to that, my stomach was full. Overall, I enjoyed the affordable sashimi and other dishes directly from the fish market.
