I made a reservation through Tabelog for Herashiba Hormone Honpo, but they were closed, so I ended up having lunch at the station front store. The cost performance and taste were amazing! My friend and I had the Hormone Lunch for 1400 yen and the Honpo Lunch for 1500 yen, with a draft beer for 290 yen, all totaling just under 2000 yen. The quality for this price is incredible. After eating, we explored the area and found two branches of the affiliated restaurant "Gyuuichi" with the same menu. I might try that next time!

I had the 9 kinds of hormone lunch for 1400 yen and a medium-sized draft beer for 290 yen. This area near Tsuruhashi Station is filled with yakiniku restaurants, making it a highly competitive area. Among them, I chose the 9 kinds of hormone lunch which includes parts that I don't usually eat. It's amazing that you can eat nine types of meat for this price! The draft beer for only 290 yen is also impressive. I won't go into detail about each type of meat, but today's 9 kinds of hormone included pupaegi, mame, chire liver, senmai, large intestine necktie, hormone, and tan tsura.

I visited "Tsuruhashi Horumon Honpo Ekimae-ten" in Tennoji-ku, Osaka City. It is located right in front of the west exit of Tsuruhashi Station on the JR Loop Line, Kintetsu Osaka Line, and Nara Line, just a 1-minute walk from exit 7 of Tsuruhashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sen-Nichimae Line. I visited before noon on a weekday and was seated in a tatami room on the second floor. The lunch menu offers options such as "Black Wagyu Beef Lunch" (1800 yen), "Honpo Lunch" (1500 yen), "Harami Lunch" (1200 yen), "Samgyupsal Set Meal" (1200 yen), and "9 Types of Horumon Lunch" (1400 yen), as well as 8 types of "Korean Cuisine Lunch". I ordered the "Black Wagyu Beef Lunch" (1800 yen) this time. Rice is free for refills. The meat included "Black Wagyu Beef Belly", "Black Wagyu Beef Kalbi", and "Black Wagyu Beef Sirloin", along with rice, wakame soup, salad, kimchi, kakuteki, and namul. The meat was indeed satisfying with a generous portion of 200g. It was thinly sliced, making it easy to eat and delicious. The barbecue sauce had a fruity flavor with a hint of Korean spiciness and refreshing taste, which was delicious. The kimchi and kakuteki were slightly spicy and had an adult taste. The dressing for the salad was very tasty, similar to the one at Yakiniku Tsuruhashi Gyuuichi, a restaurant nearby. When I asked the cute waitress, she mentioned that both restaurants are related and use similar ingredients. Although there is a difference between being a "Yakiniku Main" and a "Horumon Main" restaurant, the taste and quality were excellent. The service at the restaurant was also great, and I had a pleasant lunch. I would love to visit again.

May 2023 greetings! Currently on a Kintetsu train heading towards my destination. Feeling hungry and realizing it's already 2 o'clock, I decided to get off at Tsuruhashi. The ramen shop I wanted to visit had a long line, so I thought, why not have some yakiniku in the holy land of yakiniku instead? Which restaurant should I choose? What is the right choice? Korean lunch... How about the oxtail soup lunch? Let's give it a try! I walked into the restaurant and ordered the following: - Harami lunch for ¥1200 - Yukgaejang soup for ¥750 Wow, I've never had thinly sliced harami like this before! It cooks quickly and tastes delicious. Although I initially wanted the oxtail soup, the staff recommended the Yukgaejang soup, which turned out to be a bubbling hot and spicy delight. It's red and looks deliciously spicy. The hot and spicy soup is so good that I can't stop eating with my spoon. I wonder if this is the authentic taste? I'm not sure, but it's not bad at all. I decided to pour it over my rice. Yum, it's spicy and delicious! However, considering the cost performance and meat quality of the lunch, I think I should have done more research before choosing this restaurant. Tsuruhashi, the holy land of yakiniku, is a bit challenging for a novice like me. That's my meal review!

I entered the restaurant around 2 PM. I ordered the 9 kinds of hormone lunch for 1200 yen and a draft beer for 290 yen. While drinking the beer, I looked at the different hormone parts and learned a lot. The food arrived, similar to the menu photos, and as I ate, I found out that instead of large intestine, there was small intestine, which was a lucky surprise. I had never tried Pupu-gi and Chile before, but they were delicious. I ordered two more beers. The rice was refillable, but the amount served was already satisfying. When I paid, it came to 2000 yen and I received change. Good cost performance, good freshness, good taste. They also had lean meat, which was expected. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered a lunch of 200g of wagyu beef for 1800 yen including tax. The meat quality was worth around 700 yen, so I thought this price was cheap. It was much more delicious than the cheapest lunch at Seryna, which costs 3000 yen. I had two glasses of draft beer for 290 yen each. With a total of around 2500 yen, I was very satisfied with the experience.

On a regular day at 11:45, I visited Horumon Honpo in Tsuruhashi through a reservation on Tabelog. When I arrived at the store, it was closed, and I was directed to a nearby affiliated store, Tsuruhashi Horumon Honpo Ekimae Store, which was just a 30-second walk away. I explained the situation to the staff, but it seemed they were not aware of it and hurriedly prepared a table for me. I had to wait about 10 minutes longer than planned, probably due to their reduced operations because of the pandemic. I don't blame them for it, but I wish they had communicated better between the stores. I was seated on the 3rd floor since the 1st and 2nd floors were fully booked, showing that reservations are essential. The lunch menu ranged from ¥1,000 to ¥1,800, with the option for rice refills. I ordered the limited 30 servings per day Black Wagyu lunch for ¥1,800. It included 200g of Black Wagyu belly, kalbi, and loin, along with rice, wakame soup, salad, Chinese cabbage kimchi, pickled vegetables, and namul. However, the pickled vegetables were missing, and instead, a greasy stewed meat was served without any explanation. The meat was a bit too fatty for my liking, even though I cooked it well. The taste was average, and the dipping sauce was not particularly unique, appealing to a general audience. Overall, the meal did not stand out or make up for the operational mishaps.

I visited Tsuruhashi Horumon Honpo, a yakiniku restaurant in Tsuruhashi. I wanted to use my points, so I made a lunch reservation online before visiting. When I arrived, I saw a staff member outside arguing with an elderly man who seemed to be with two children. The staff member said the restaurant was full and suggested the man go to the branch near the station. The man insisted there were empty seats and demanded to speak to the manager. After some discussion, the man was allowed to enter, and I was told to go to the branch near the station. It was a bit strange to witness this exchange, and I wondered why the man was directed to the branch. Is the taste different there? At the branch near the station, they offered a lunch set with nine types of horumon for 1200 yen and a black wagyu beef lunch for 1800 yen. It was not amazing, but considering the price, it was satisfactory. The horumon set was served with different cuts for comparison, which was nice. However, the black wagyu beef lunch was 200g for 1800 yen, while the "Honpo" lunch was 150g for 1500 yen. I wonder if the "Honpo" lunch uses better meat? During payment, there was an issue with using points at the branch near the station, which added some confusion. Overall, the meal left me with some mysteries.

I entered because there was a sign, but I always regret eating yakiniku in Tsuruhashi, even though I ordered the lunch set for 1800 yen. I have no learning ability... I always understand that it's a tourist business, but still... No return visit!

On the second day in Osaka, I said goodbye to Hide-kun and A-chan, and headed to my next destination, Tsuruhashi (*⌒▽⌒*). I didn't know that many shops in Tsuruhashi are closed on Wednesdays, but I went there anyway. Unfortunately, most of the shops were closed, including the one I wanted to visit. However, I found a place that was still serving lunch close to 3pm! It was Tsuruhashi Horumon Honpo Ekimae. I confirmed that they were still serving lunch and went in. I ordered the Kalbi set and my partner had a beer with raw intestines. The Kalbi was really good and tasty (*⌒▽⌒*). The raw intestines were also delicious! The rice was tasty too! Next time, I'll make sure to come on a day other than Wednesday and explore more of Tsuruhashi. I finished my meal today too! Thank you for the delicious food.

I decided to have a slightly late yakiniku lunch in Tsuruhashi. I went to Meigetsu, but there was a long line in front of the restaurant for some reason, so I gave up. As a Plan B, I went to this restaurant in front of Tsuruhashi Station. I was guided to a table in the sunken kotatsu on the second floor. I ordered a black wagyu beef lunch for 1800 yen. It came with a vegetable salad, kimchi, namul, and wakame soup. The quality of the meat was decent for the price. I enjoyed the yakiniku on rice, especially when topped with kimchi. It was like a yakiniku bowl and quite delicious. I had been avoiding eating yakiniku actively recently, but after watching a scene in the TV drama "Mada Kekkon Dekinai Otoko" where the main character played by Hiroshi Abe eats yakiniku, I couldn't resist trying it again. I'm such a trend follower. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today I wasn't feeling well and was a bit anxious, but I went to Tsuruhashi by subway and had a hormone set meal. The first floor tables were full so I went up to the second floor. The second floor had sunken kotatsu-style seating where you take off your shoes to go up. There are a total of 40 seats, around 20 on each floor, but it felt more cramped than I expected. It was lunchtime and the restaurant was full, so it couldn't be helped. It took quite a while from lighting the smokeless gas roaster to the food arriving after ordering. The hormone on the plate doesn't have name tags, but since the hormone names are on the menu, you can tell which is which when they are served in a similar order. The hormone is grilled on a net, allowing you to adjust the cooking to your liking, but beginners tend to overcook if they grill too much at once, so it's better to grill a little at a time. Street-style hormone shops often have teppanyaki, but there are also grilled on a net, teppanyaki, and jarinko Chie skewers. Each has its own merits, but I prefer the teppanyaki where you can eat a variety without thinking. It seems that you can have rice refills during lunchtime at this restaurant. I enjoyed the wakame soup, salad, kimchi, namul, etc. The second floor was also full during lunchtime.

It was located about a 2-minute walk from Teramachi Station. I was unsure where to go, but I chose this place because it had a counter. I was craving horumon, and as the name suggests, they had a wide variety of horumon options, with most servings priced at 333 yen. The portions were generous. The draft beer was cheap at 290 yen. They also had all-you-can-eat options, and the restaurant was quite crowded.

I visited this restaurant with 5 friends. Since we were in Tsuruhashi, we planned to visit various places, so we decided to stop by this restaurant near the station. When we entered the restaurant, we were guided to the second floor, and the floor was quite slippery, typical of Tsuruhashi (lol). The meat dishes like horumon were delicious and reasonably priced, but the service was not the best. However, if you don't mind that, the cost performance is not bad, so it's worth a visit. The beer is also cheap, so it's good for a casual drink. Thank you for the meal.

The sight of yakiniku restaurants lining the narrow alleys is so calming, but choosing a restaurant can be tough in this competitive area. During lunchtime, the service is top-notch and the set menus are plentiful, making it a fun experience. Leave the driving to a non-drinker and enjoy yakiniku from noon onwards - it's the best!!
