JR Umeda East exit, cross the street and head towards the elevated tracks, there is a dining district where Osaka-style eateries dominate. Further east, past the famous moving walkway of Hankyu, there is a small enclave of the Umeda dining district. There are only about four shops, but they have some really good restaurants.
- Hamburger Plate: 980 yen
A thick hamburger with juicy meat juices that burst out when you cut into it. It's definitely delicious.
- Set Beer: 200 yen
Oh, a beautiful foam and perfectly chilled. Tastes great! Perfect for a hungry stomach.
I wonder if these shops are still around...

I arrived home late and was almost becoming a dinner refugee when I found this restaurant. It had been renovated in the summer and reopened on 9/1. I knew about the restaurant's existence but had hardly ever used it before. It seems like they combined two stores together. I'm not sure which one is registered on Tabelog, but I decided to try this one. You can get a drink for 100 yen as a set. The curry was decently made for this type of restaurant, but the portion was small. If the lunch portion is the same, it feels quite overpriced. I had the beef tendon stew curry with salad and an iced coffee.

I hesitated about whether to go to the ramen shop or not, but ended up jumping in. I think the menu I ordered just didn't suit me. The broth itself was sharp and aromatic, quite well done. It was in the range of medium spicy to slightly spicy (by my standards). The Beef Hormone Curry for 830 yen was made with domestic beef intestines that were not quite to my liking. They were too soft and lacked flavor, like a lump of fat. It felt like they just grilled it and put it on the curry. I think it should have been a regular curry with pork cutlet. It's a self-service restaurant where you can help yourself to Fukujinzuke and pineapple according to your preference, which I really liked. The restaurant has a unique layout with a small room in a C-shape counter and a straight counter room. It seems like in the evening, it's popular to enjoy wine while snacking on cheese and pizza. Thank you for the meal.

We had a private gathering near the station and had a reflection meeting. We were served thin stick-shaped snacks to start with. We decided to have red wine and enjoyed a delicious Margherita pizza with a chewy crust and generous amount of cheese. It exceeded our expectations and we really liked it. The restroom was located outside the restaurant, down the stairs. It was a bit far as it was the station's restroom. Thank you for the meal!

I felt like eating curry like crazy in Umeda, so I stopped by this place right near the station. It's located between Hankyu Umeda Station and Hankyu Department Store, but it's not very noticeable because it's on the east side behind the main street. I remembered there were a few shops around here. I ordered the pork cutlet curry, and what arrived was the curry in the photo. They had unlimited pickles, so I sprinkled some on top. When I tasted it, it was just a normal curry, nothing special. It wasn't bad, but it lacked the punch of spiced curry. The pork cutlet, on the other hand, was delicious. The place turns into a bar at night, so you can enjoy drinks casually. It's close to the station, so even if you get a bit tipsy, you can still manage to catch the train. Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant is located in Umeda First Street. I actually didn't know about Umeda First Street, so I got lost using the map on Tabelog (laughs). The easiest way to get there is to go through the south side passage of Shin Umeda Food Street and keep going straight east until you reach the underpass. When I entered, there was only one customer and it was relatively empty. When I entered, they told me it's a food ticket system, and that's when I noticed the food ticket machine for the first time. I wish the restaurant was a bit more beginner-friendly. When you enter, look for the food ticket machine first. Also, "rakkyo" and "napa cabbage kimchi" are self-service. Since it was my first time, I decided to try the "beef tendon stew curry" and "raw egg". The main dish arrived in about 4 minutes. As expected, curry is fast. The raw egg from Topping came neatly on top of the rice, which looked more delicious than usual. I tried a bite and the flavor of the beef tendon was amazing. It somehow resembles the taste of the famous "Indian curry" and it's delicious. It's on the richer side in terms of flavor. The spiciness is a bit on the spicy side. I was surprised that it was so delicious despite being so empty. I think this place is recommended when you want to casually eat curry.

Looking at the curry placed in front of me, I thought, "Huh?" This expression conveys a sense of rising expectations. The rice piled high and covered with plenty of dark brown curry was quite different from what I had imagined. But... this is... so delicious! It's too good. The curry has a super authentic flavor, not just the simmered beef tendons. At first, it reminded me of school lunch curry, but then I realized it was completely different - a truly authentic curry. If this were a retort curry, it would be unbelievable. I would wait in line for 2 hours to buy it. By the way, the catchphrase "Lunchtime Curry" is a common phrase, but it strangely resonates with me. Kuma BAR.
