I enjoyed a luxurious strawberry dessert course at the 2nd floor wine bar "La Cave" at The St. Regis Osaka. Starting from January, they introduced the "Strawberry at The St. Regi❤️❤️ Afternoon Tea❤️ Dessert Set❤️" with 3 different options. I had already tried the Afternoon Tea (as mentioned in a previous post), and this time I indulged in the strawberry dessert course, which was so delightful that I decided to split my food review into two parts.
First, I started with a strawberry cocktail toast, featuring fresh, large strawberries from Tokushima Prefecture and Chantilly cream. The desserts included a variety of mini strawberry sweets served on a large plate, such as Millefeuille, Eclair, Roll Cake, Macaron, Tart, Opera, Fruit Tart, Sable, and Madeleine. The coffee and tea were refillable, and I chose the St. Regis Osaka original Nérine tea, which paired perfectly with the sweets. Savory items included Lobster Quiche, Smoked Duck Tartine, Egg & Truffle Mayo Sandwich, and Chicken Fricassee.
The highlight was the flambéed strawberry with ice cream, where the pastry chef prepared it right in front of me, creating a blue flame that enhanced the strawberry flavor. The table order buffet featured 8 options, and I chose Napoleon Millefeuille and Crepe Souffle. The recommended item was the Strawberry Romanoff, which marinated strawberries in orange liqueur and served with cream, similar to a parfait. The Strawberry at The St. Regis Osaka event is available from January 8, 2021, to May 9, 2021, during two time slots. The price is ¥7,800 (tax included).
