I was in a strong craving for curry when I was appealed by the slogan of "Big meat satisfaction". I ended up ordering it at King. The taste was more to my liking compared to the curry specialty chain store ○○ Ich, with a good balance of spices (which is a performance that is unacceptable in Hinduism) and I also like the beef broth. When it comes in King Size, it looks like the photo and the server who brought it said, "I've never seen this before." The impact of the rice and curry was overwhelming, but the sausage had a decent volume and I think it falls into the category of delicious.

I feel like I had breakfast here before, but this time I ordered a proper breakfast set with a good amount of food. Along with what seems to be the toppings for beef bowl, there is also a side dish of simmered vegetables, giving a real "I've had breakfast" feeling.

Today, I took a walk around Sakaisuji area. Many shops are still refraining from opening, but there are some that are still doing their best. I decided to try the limited menu at "Sukiya Sakaisuji Ebisumachi Store". I ordered the Kale Lettuce Gyudon with Onion Soup and Ontama Set (690 yen). I was curious to try this limited menu item. I thought it was "Cool Lettuce" at first, but upon closer inspection, it was actually "Kale Lettuce". Kale is a vegetable similar to cabbage and is often used as an ingredient in green juice. The dish had kale, red bell pepper, and lettuce on top. The kale had a unique bitterness to it, which I found quite addictive once I got used to it. I started by eating the vegetables, then added the ontama (soft-boiled egg) and mixed in the onion soup. Mixing everything together and eating it was enjoyable. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will continue on my journey with no regrets.

At Sukiya Sakaisuji Ebisumachi branch, I tried the "Caesar Lettuce Gyudon" for the first time, which is a beef bowl topped with Caesar salad. It was quite a daring dish, but surprisingly tasty. They also have another seasonal limited menu called "Spicy Tomato Lettuce Gyudon" which I would like to try if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

To enjoy a dish of rice with raw egg, I entered a gyudon restaurant. It's a bit awkward to just order egg and rice, so I opted for gyudon with egg. The fact that they have raw egg over rice on the menu is already appealing. Moreover, for an extra 30 yen, you can get a large serving of rice, making it a complete set meal for only 280 yen. I wonder if this is available at other restaurants in the same chain.

According to Kita-san, there is a unique drinking style called "Nomisuki" being offered at Sukiya. This concept is not very common in Osaka. The restaurant is located near Ebisucho Station and has a spacious interior with no clear separation between dining and drinking areas. You can quietly enjoy a toast in a corner. The Buffalo Kitchen Set costs 600 yen (tax included), a Highball costs 250 yen (tax included), Gyudon costs 220 yen (tax included), and Chorizo costs 300 yen (tax included). The set comes with a small bottle of beer, perfect for a light drink. Despite being a Gyudon specialty restaurant, the food pairs surprisingly well with the drinks. Although there are no special menu items, the prices are attractive. Two people can enjoy a meal for a total of 1,450 yen (tax included). Thank you for the delicious drinks. Itadakimasu.

There is a Sukiya near Ebisucho. It's quite popular among foreigners in the electric town, as the lunchtime counter seats were all filled up. This time, I had the Cheese Gyudon with extra sauce. Extra sauce has become a standard now. They also have eel on the menu, but it doesn't seem to be popular. I think it's better to just order the regular Gyudon. You can add Tabasco to change the flavor, so it's quite recommended for cheese lovers.

As I was walking, I saw a Sukiya restaurant. Back in the day, it used to be open 24 hours. Now, with the lack of customers, they can't operate around the clock anymore. Well, it's not a big deal for me if they're not open 24 hours. On that day, I ordered the Three Cheese Gyudon. It's a gyudon with cheese on top. If I wanted a regular gyudon, Yoshinoya is a good choice. I decided to try the cheese version this time. It tasted like a typical Sukiya gyudon. Well, it should keep me full for a while.

The beef bowl is becoming more colorful. I wasn't sure how spicy the Kimmayo would be, or how easy it would be to eat the Negimayo, so I chose the Takana Mentaiko Mayo. The pink color is from the mentaiko mayo. It has a nice balance of spiciness. The Takana's spiciness is also just right, and the balance with the mayo and the light sweetness of the beef bowl is perfect. This combination of spiciness, acidity from the mayo, and richness from the oil is great when you're tired. It's best to mix it all up and eat it, even though it may not look pretty.

I visited the newly opened "Sukiya" in Nihonbashi Denden Town last year. Nihonbashi Denden Town is like Akihabara in Tokyo. It's the otaku holy land in the west, just like Akihabara in the east. I see a lot of Galigari Gari Gari-kun's pictures around, is he the mascot? I really like his style, he's one of my favorite comedians. The purpose of this visit was to try the "Gyudon" that they have been advertising on TV, the "Gyudon" with extra beef called "Gyuumabushi". I went to the Sakaisuji Ebisucho branch which I had never been to before. The store is located on a corner with glass windows, giving it an open feel. There are many table seats available. Usually I sit at the counter, but this time I chose a table seat. I ordered the Gyumabushi (450 yen) with extra beef and extra rice (200 yen extra). In less than 5 minutes, it was served. Oh! The beef is doubled... it seems like a small amount, but maybe it's because the bowl is big... If it was a regular portion, I think it would be half the amount of meat... First, I tried the Gyudon as it is. Hmm, it's delicious. About halfway through, let's try adding "green onions," "fresh wasabi," and "dashi broth" on top. There's quite a bit of broth in it. I'll eat it with the provided spoon. Mmm, it's delicious. I'm not sure if it matches better than Hitsumabushi, but I felt that Gyumabushi goes better with it compared to the famous tonkatsu ochazuke from Suzuya in Shinjuku. The tonkatsu ochazuke was around 1700 yen, 1800 yen, or close to 2000 yen as far as I remember, but this Gyumabushi with extra beef is 650 yen. Normally, it's 680 yen. It's cheap, but it doesn't feel cheap anymore. McDonald's also had hamburgers for around 50 yen at one point... Even if you make it cheaper, people won't eat twice as much... and that price gets remembered... I often go to restaurants with high cost performance. There are also places where you can get a large bottle of beer for 330 yen. So, in my mind, I remember that beer at 450 yen or less. Then, my sense of money gets messed up when I go to clubs in Minami where expensive drinks are served. That's the price, and it gets remembered, and I end up spending a lot... and that's how I became a man on the verge of death (laughs). I digressed a lot in this Gyumabushi review, but setting prices is a difficult thing! Thank you for the meal. The restaurant is always busy because it's located near the station. The staff are friendly and the entrance is clean. The food was delicious. It's perfect for those who want to relax alone. The dessert ice cream was amazing. The service was great, with smiling staff who made ordering easy. The atmosphere is calm and the customers always seem to enjoy their meals. This time, I was working in Osaka and had to work until quite late, so it seemed like there were few available restaurants. I decided to go to Sukiya, which is open 24 hours. Atmosphere... The atmosphere was typical of Sukiya, and since it was late, there were hardly any people there. Food... I was quite hungry, so I was going to order the standard beef bowl, but I saw a new menu item called the Beef Bibimbap Bowl and couldn't decide. In the end, I ordered the Bibimbap Bowl. It had more food than I expected, and the taste was undeniably delicious, although it was a bit spicy. Overall evaluation... Sukiya, which is open even at such a late hour, is truly appreciated.

Gyudon from Sukiya is amazing! Hasn't everyone said that at least once? I decided to focus on Sukiya this time because it's close by but doesn't get talked about much. The cost performance is great. It's right in front of my house, and when I come home drunk and hungry, I think, "Ugh, it's a hassle to cook." At times like that, Sukiya is a lifesaver. I start eating normally, then halfway through I add shichimi pepper and pickled ginger. I finish by adding an egg. I love it. Other favorites are Negitama Gyudon, Ninniku no Me Gyudon, and Pepperoncino Gyudon. There are various flavors to suit your mood, but the regular Gyudon is still the best. There are many gyudon (beef bowl) restaurants, and the first time I went to Sukiya was at the Sakaisuji Megumisumachi branch about a year ago. In the end, I chose the gyudon regular size, and I also added miso soup and salad for an extra 100 yen, making it a total of 350 yen. I couldn't help but think that with his good looks and voice, he could make it as a singer and earn more than working here. As my thoughts wandered, my gyudon arrived. It had a decent portion size, and the freshness of the salad made the meal worth the price. The handsome guy with glasses took care of my bill, and I left the restaurant thinking that if I were in the music industry, I would definitely scout him. I hope someone from the music industry scouts the handsome guy with glasses and a good voice at the Sakaisuji Megumisumachi branch.
