Family of 3 went for lunch on a holiday. Finally visited "Gohandoki" in Futamata, a restaurant located inside the Maruhan pachinko parlor. The seating is only at the counter. They are currently collaborating with a famous ramen shop, offering Nagi ramen from Shinjuku Golden Gai. The chashu and menma were delicious, but the noodles were unique flat noodles. The soup was just okay, not as strong as when I had it in Shinjuku. Maybe because back then the whole restaurant smelled of dried fish, which added to the experience. Added rice to the soup and it was satisfying. Had a hearty carb meal after a long time. My partner had the pork with mayo rice bowl for 670 yen, which was crispy with a nice thin layer of fat. The child had the curry with tonkatsu for 730 yen, with an additional 120 yen for a mini udon set. The tonkatsu was thick and decent, but the udon was not impressive according to the child. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the quality was not bad. It would be nice if they offered beer and snacks.

After choosing my meal, I purchased a meal ticket from the machine at the entrance and took a seat at the long counter. I handed the meal ticket to the staff and waited for my ginger pork set meal priced at 900 yen. The miso soup served with the set meal was seaweed miso soup. The side dish for the set meal that day was a cute potato salad. The main dish, ginger pork, was made with high-quality pork.
