I found out what time I returned the night before through a certain smartphone payment history email. I didn't remember buying water at the convenience store near the dormitory (bitter smile). Still, I didn't feel too bad in the morning, and after taking a bath at the hotel, I felt refreshed. I picked up my car parked near Kikusui Station, did some shopping at Sozosawa East, and decided to visit this tonkatsu restaurant near my parents' house in Hassamu that I had been wanting to go to. It's called Tonkou, located on Kitaiichimiyazawadori, just 3 minutes by car from Tsukimachi Street, along Miyazawa Street. There were no cars in the parking lot, but there were four customers, a parent and child. They must live nearby. I sat at the central 4-person table. A couple in their 70s seemed to be running the place. I was considering the special loin set, but lately, the special loin often turns out to be rib loin, and many cases have asked for better trimming, so I ordered the regular loin cutlet set (with extra rice). It took about 12 minutes for the food to be served. As expected, with the extra rice, there was quite a lot of rice. And the cutlet had a very juicy appearance in the cross-section, overflowing with meat juice when eaten with salt. However, the tail end still had unfinished trimming, so the difficulty of the sinew touching the mouth was a downside. Also, the salt and sauce were relatively common, and the tasteless "table salt" was a little disappointing. The rice and miso soup were delicious, and if the trimming was done well, the cutlet would have been at a considerable level, so I think just a little improvement would easily make it over 4.0. I secretly want to try pork sauté as well (^^).
