During Golden Week, I visited Osaka for sightseeing and decided to enjoy some local cuisine for lunch. We ordered cola, oolong tea, kushikatsu, doteyaki, and katsu udon. When I checked the receipt back at the hotel, I noticed that a lemon sour was included, which was disappointing. I realized I should have checked right away.

The restaurant mainly has counter seats and two-person seats, and it is small inside with a one-order system. I ordered kushikatsu, doteyaki, and Nishinari horumon-yaki. The kushikatsu was crispy and the sauce had just the right amount of saltiness and umami, making it very delicious. The doteyaki had a lot of beef sinew which provided a satisfying chewiness, and it was also flavorful and tasty. However, the Nishinari horumon-yaki had a slight smell and was a bit tough.

The staff's service was neither bad nor good. The taste was decent, but I felt that the prices for the kushikatsu were a bit high for what it was. I wanted to try the katsu udon, but unfortunately, it was sold out.

I stopped by at Shinsekai. There were long lines at Yaesho and Daruma. The food was finely detailed and delicious. It was really amazing.

The atmosphere inside the shop felt like a Showa retro-style casual pub, and it made me feel nostalgic. In this day and age when there are few places where you can smoke, it was nice that smoking was allowed here! Families might find it a bit intimidating to enter, but it's a fun place. Since it's a skewered cutlet shop, the skewered cutlets were delicious, but the Nishinari hormone (offal) was also tasty. I really want everyone to try it!

The pork cutlet was delicious, and the horumon (offal) in Nishinari was also really tasty. It was great that smoking was allowed at the table!

I went for a daytime drink, and the cost performance was good. The dotenabe (beef tendon stew) was delicious. I will definitely go back. ☺️
