The idea crossed my mind. Mita-ya sells ham and sausage wieners, but what I bought was fried food. I found a perfect item - a set of four fried items for 605 yen: beef croquette, beef tendon croquette, cheese mince cutlet, and meat and potato croquette. I brought them home and cut each into two to share with my husband. The beef croquette was a classic, with the sweetness of potatoes and the richness of beef. The beef tendon croquette had a unique richness and chewiness, perfect with wine. The cheese mince cutlet was another delicious fried item, with the flavor of cheese and the richness of minced meat. It would be perfect with rice (though I'm currently skipping rice at night). The meat and potato croquette tasted just like meat and potato stew - so sweet and flavorful, it made me crave rice. Despite being affordable, the croquettes are delicious and satisfying.
