Tonkatsu set! I didn't pay for it myself so I forgot the price! Having lunch with my brother and mother (lol) and as expected, it's always popular whenever you come. We arrived 20 minutes before opening and there were already a few cars waiting, but considering the number of seats, we thought we would be seated quickly, so we decided to wait and entered the restaurant. Luckily, we were able to get in this time, but actually, it seems like you can make a reservation, so be careful when there is a waiting line.

For lunch, my wife and I went to "Kayanoki" next to Kuwan Temple to eat persimmon leaf sushi and soba. I had tried the persimmon leaf sushi before as takeout, so I already knew it was delicious, but the soba was a first for me. The fragrant scent of the broth outside was irresistible! I ordered zaru soba, and my wife ordered tenzaru soba. The soba had a nice texture and was delicious. The persimmon leaf sushi was as delicious as always. They had trout and mackerel, both of which were tasty, but personally, I prefer mackerel. The tempura was crispy and fluffy. After visiting my parents' grave, I stopped by the restaurant they used to love. They had a wide variety of menu items, but I decided to have the zaru soba. It was delicious. I could tell that my parents liked this place not only for the soba, but also for the atmosphere and service.

After visiting the hydrangeas at Kyuan-ji Temple, I stopped by a restaurant right next to it. The hydrangeas were in full bloom, and there were a few people waiting as it was lunchtime. After a short wait, I was able to get a seat at the counter. The persimmon leaf sushi had mackerel and salmon, the rice was not too hard, and it was delicious. The set of soba noodles was also tasty. Thank you for the meal.

At the shop in front of Kyuan Temple, I had soba last time I visited and it was so delicious that I went again today. The hydrangeas were not in full bloom yet, but the soba was just right to eat! Today, I had an eel rice bowl and a cold soba set. It was delicious.

I visited Kuannji Temple in the 18th of the Saigoku 49 Pilgrimage of Kannon Temples. Before visiting the temple, I had lunch at a soba restaurant in front of Kuannji Temple. I had duck soba and persimmon leaf sushi. The duck flavor was rich and the soba was delicious. The persimmon leaf sushi was also excellent. The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great.

I like the atmosphere of the ceiling. I had beef hot pot, while my companion had hot pot stew. And we also had persimmon leaf sushi. We always end up choosing similar menus. Udon is delicious after all! But my father used to like soba... A restaurant with delicious memories. I love it!

I love this restaurant that my late father used to enjoy. We often stop by on our way back from visiting his grave. I usually order the pot-cooked udon noodles. Of course, we also have the persimmon leaf sushi. Sometimes we even get the persimmon leaf sushi to go. Despite being in a remote location, this popular restaurant is always bustling. We had a delicious meal once again this time.

I usually have nabeyaki udon or gyunabe udon. I can't remember which one I ordered that day, but I think it was gyunabe udon. The only public transportation is the bus. It's located on a mountain, yet it's a very popular restaurant. They specialize in soba, but their udon is delicious too. They also serve kakinoha sushi. The customers are mostly elderly, but families with children and young people also come. The wonderful aroma of the broth is a must for Japanese people.

#Soba restaurant at the entrance of Ikeda Hisayoji Temple#Delicious❗ Duck dipping soba in August 2020 thanks to GoTo Travel in Osaka Prefecture❗ We visited the temple in the scorching heat for my daughter who collects temple stamps❗ In return, we discovered a nice place nearby❗ Here, at the entrance of the approach, there is a restaurant called "Handmade Udon/Soba Kayanoki" with a rating of 3.20 on Tabelog❗⭐Duck dipping soba ¥1200 Duck meat is plentiful❗ The broth is also good❗ The soba is delicious with a rustic style❗⭐Curry udon set meal ¥1200⭐Hana-zaru set ¥1000 which comes with eel chirashi sushi⭐Kitsune udon ¥680 The not too sweet broth is just right~❤ The restaurant was bustling during the Bon Festival, but the staff's service was good and we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. After visiting the hydrangeas at Kyuan-ji Temple, I had some time before the bus arrived so I stopped by this quiet and calm restaurant. Many people were wearing kimonos, which made me feel at ease. I thought it was reasonably priced, but considering the amount of eel served, it was understandable. The bracken rice cake was delicious.

At the parking lot of Kyuan Temple, we enjoyed our meal under a beautiful persimmon tree. I chose the Persimmon Leaf Sushi Set for 900 yen, which came with cold soba noodles. My companion had the Soba Set for 800 yen. You can choose between udon or soba with rice balls, a small side dish, vegetable tempura with rice, and a choice of bara sushi. The Persimmon Leaf Sushi had 2 salmon pieces and 3 mackerel pieces, all homemade and delicious. The tempura in my companion's set was also generous. The best part was how quickly the meals were served! The soba tea was a nice touch. I heard that the Kudzu starch sauce udon and curry soba are also popular, so I would love to go back again. ♡

It has been a little while since the spring equinox, and after visiting the graves as is customary, I came here for lunch. I arrived around 11:15 am on a Saturday, and there were still a few seats available at that time. I ordered the katsudon and mini udon set, which arrived in about 8 minutes. The half-cooked egg on the katsudon was fluffy and just the way I like it. The rice, soaked in sweet broth, had a delicious flavor. The tonkatsu had a good thickness and a nice crispy texture when bitten into, making it a delicious katsudon that can be enjoyed elegantly. I just wish there was a bit more rice in the dish. The set udon was also delicious as expected. The broth, which I believe was made from bonito, was sweet and flavorful, making it irresistible to drink. The soft Kyoto udon noodles seemed to go perfectly with this type of broth. I enjoyed some refreshing pickles in between bites, and before I knew it, I had finished the katsudon and udon. Although I felt slightly unsatisfied with the portion of rice in the katsudon, the taste of the delicious broth at this restaurant is always reliable, and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again. The attentive service from the staff, as always, was wonderful. I look forward to visiting again during the autumn equinox and perhaps trying the mixed rice bowl set next time. A few days have passed since the equinoctial week, and our family gathered to have lunch after visiting the graves. We arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 am on Saturday, and due to the approaching typhoon and heavy rain, there were fewer customers than usual. I ordered the "tonkatsu set meal," which I had not tried at this restaurant before, and it was served in about 10 minutes. The tonkatsu was not very thick, but the meat was juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of fat. The crispy coating was light and crunchy. The udon broth was delicious, with a sweet taste that stood out, typical of Osaka-style udon, and I enjoyed it to the last drop. The "mini" udon actually had a decent amount, so the portion was satisfying. The potato salad was plentiful and had a gentle flavor, making it a great accompaniment to the meal. The vegetables served with the tonkatsu were also tasty, and I finished everything on my plate. The service from the staff at this restaurant was always fantastic, with attentive care and prompt refills of tea. Visiting the graves reminded me that it has been 10 years since my mother, who was healthy at the time, suddenly passed away. It made me a little sentimental, but it also reminded me to take care of my health and continue enjoying delicious meals outside. Hankyu Takarazuka Main Line Ikeda Station is located north, entering from National Route 173 to National Route 423, just before Hanano Tera Kuanyanji parking lot. The restaurant has table seating, tatami seating, and counter seating, catering to a wide range of customers. While the main dishes are udon and soba, the menu is extensive, including rice bowls and persimmon leaf sushi. I visited around lunchtime on a weekday and the place was bustling with many customers. Perhaps because it is slightly away from the city center with few dining options, or because you can enjoy delicious meals at a reasonable price, or maybe both? I didn't have high expectations, but I ordered the cold soba set for 850 yen. Since it was a set meal, I could choose from three types of rice dishes, so I chose bara sushi. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of soba and the authentic bara sushi served. Surprisingly, the soba seemed to be hand-made, with a good texture and flavor. The broth was also decent. The bara sushi looked good and had a perfect seasoning. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. It exceeded my expectations. The service was polite, and the kitchen staff worked efficiently, greeting customers loudly. It left a good impression, and I would like to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Ordered the Chinese soba and persimmon leaf sushi at the udon restaurant. The Chinese soba, which is sometimes a hit or miss at these types of places, was a bit disappointing here. However, the persimmon leaf sushi was good.
