Araki is a fisherman's tavern in Kochi serving local cuisine. We had a quick drink session until the boss's train arrived, with only 30 minutes to spare. We ordered bonito tataki, fatty tuna rolls, and chicken karaage (boss's request) along with a large bottle. The bonito tataki was thick and delicious with sliced garlic and salt. The fatty tuna rolls were generously filled with green onion and tuna belly, very tasty. The chicken karaage was juicy and all the dishes were delicious. I'm not sure about the payment as it was on the boss, but it seemed reasonable.

In the middle of life, 493 yen for maguro sakekama, 429 yen for kibinago shioyaki, 429 yen for katsuo shiodare yukke, 539 yen for Kido, 471 yen for tuna stomach nuta, 471 yen for Tsukasa, 176 yen for sweet shrimp sushi, 295 yen for hamo sushi, 330 yen for minnow sashimi, 539 yen for Shimanto River, 471 yen for fisherman's soup, etc. Basically, the menu offers a wide variety of seafood with a focus on sashimi and sushi. They subtly promote Kochi specialties and offer a variety of intriguing delicacies. The maguro sakekama on the speed menu immediately prompts you to order Japanese sake with its strong flavor. The intense flavor with no holds barred, combined with grated daikon and large shiso leaves, is unbeatable. The tuna stomach nuta, which caught your attention, initially didn't seem delicious due to its strong smell, but as you ate it with a lot of vinegar miso and sake, it became addictive. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it's worth a try for sake drinkers as a unique delicacy. They also had a variety of whale dishes, but unfortunately, they were all sold out... I had visited Araki from NOMOKA before, but this was my first time at Ekimarche. I was worried that the quality of the food might have dropped, but it turned out to be unfounded. I was satisfied with the deliciousness I was looking for. In particular, I was a little impressed by the tomato garnish. Could it be that I was moved by the hospitality of putting so much effort into just one dish? (I wonder if NOMOKA also has this tomato garnish... Maybe it's an original of Ekimarche? I would like to visit again if I have the chance.)

Near the Sakurabashi exit of JR Osaka Station, there is a popular restaurant inside the station called "Eki Marche". It is always crowded with people passing by. They cook fish caught in Kochi prefecture. In the evening, my friend and I ordered draft beer (¥449 excluding tax), cold sake including Tsukasa Botan, Suigei, and Shimanto River (each ¥429), water eggplant sashimi (¥490), tuna assortment (¥1080), daikon radish in sea bream broth (¥140), egg (¥140), and grilled sandfish with salt (¥390). The water eggplant and tuna assortment were both delicious. I forgot to take photos, but the grilled sandfish with salt was about 8 pieces of belly grilled with salt. It also came with dipping salt. It was delicious. The location is good and it fills up quickly, but I definitely want to come back again.

The bonito tataki was good, but the Tosa roll did not have garlic and shiso leaves, so it was different from the Tosa roll in Kochi. Those in my family who were expecting the Tosa roll were disappointed, so we only had three dishes and left early. The butter bacon potatoes were delicious though!

I have been stopping by this place recently and it has become one of my favorites. It's located in Ekimarche, so it's easy to visit. I used to not be a fan of bonito, but ever since trying their salted bonito, I keep coming back for more. My recommendation is the salted bonito, but their firefly squid tempura and shiso sardine tempura are also delicious. The fried foods are all tasty. Their oden, especially the daikon, is also delicious. I also love the dried young sardine tempura from Uwajima. As for drinks, I usually start with beer, then move on to Dabada Fire, followed by Suikei. Finally, I end with a highball. This pattern usually costs me around 3200 yen. I appreciate that they don't serve appetizers. I sometimes come back for a bonito recharge. (The photos are mixed from several visits)

So, I arrived at Ekimarche Osaka next to Osaka Station, and here is the place: Fisherman's Izakaya Araki Ekimarche Osaka branch. It is a popular restaurant that mainly serves sashimi, probably the No. 1 in Ekimarche. The counter seats are always crowded, which is a sign of its popularity. When I found one counter seat available, I entered the restaurant right away. First, I ordered a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry). I wanted to have another one, but having a third one would be tough (^^;). I quickly checked the menu and chose the sashimi platter with 7 varieties (=^▽^)σ. While waiting, I took photos of the dishes. The lineup included: red snapper, yellowtail, amberjack, fresh octopus, fresh salmon, bonito seared tataki, and sweet shrimp. The sashimi was, as always, thickly sliced and satisfying to eat. However, the defrosting of the bonito was not ideal this time. Still, being able to eat all of this for 1297 yen (tax included) is truly a great deal in Osaka (^_^)v. So, the review for April 1st is finished *\(^o^)/*. But even though I just finished the tour for September 1st yesterday, the review is still for April... I have visited many more restaurants and want to introduce them soon, but you already know the answer, right? Tranquilo, don't rush me٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶. P.S. Congratulations to Tetsuya Naito for winning G1!

Osaka Station - I entered once with a regular ticket, but decided to go back through the ticket gate to eat at this shop. Convenient location near the station. The shirasu bowl had plenty of shirasu and the egg was nice and gooey, with extra shirasu in a small dish. I'm happy! Also had 2 pieces of chicken karaage. 880 yen for all. During the day, the guys next to me were eating sashimi and drinking. I'm envious! I want to come back at night too.

I was recommended to try "Araki" at Sangū, but didn't have the chance to go until I stumbled upon it while passing by. It turned out to be a great find! Even though I could only have one beer and one sake after visiting a few other places, I definitely want to come back here as my first stop next time. The miso soup with seaweed was delicious and a great value. The tempura was also tasty, and the service from the staff was excellent. Being located in Ekimaru makes it convenient for all-day dining, which is a plus.

After finishing my business in Osaka, I wanted to have a drink at a convenient Ekimarche near the station, so I went to this store! I sat at the counter. I have been to the fisherman's sake bar Araki-san, NOMOKA's store, and a French restaurant in Kobe, and I have the impression that you can enjoy delicious seafood snacks. First, I ordered: - Draft beer 482 yen (tax included) Asahi Super Dry. - Sesame sauce yellowtail 649 yen Yellowtail from Kochi Prefecture, caught by one fisherman! It was served in a small dish with plenty of it! It was delicious with a rich flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. - Sardine and shiso leaf tempura 429 yen It's a bit small, but it was crispy and had a rich sardine flavor. The shiso leaf goes well with the sardine. I added a drink: - Dabada fire shake (roasted chestnut shochu) 471 yen I had it with soda. Whenever they have Dabada, I always order it. - Tai dashi oden: egg 154 yen, thick fried tofu 176 yen, burdock tempura 176 yen The light tai dashi broth is delicious on its own - a comforting taste! Everything was delicious. It was around 4 pm in the evening, but the store was crowded with many customers. The service from the staff was also good. "Stopped by a cozy izakaya called "Gyoshisakaba Araki" run by a fisherman from Kochi, located inside the commercial facility "Ekimaru" directly connected to JR Osaka Station for a quick drink before heading home. The atmosphere really felt like a traditional fisherman's tavern. They also offer lunch menu. Ekimaru is constantly refreshing its shops and it's looking great. The menu is simple and perfect for a quick drink. Ordered the bonito tataki for 590 yen and it came out in seconds (laughs). The thick slices had a tender texture typical of Kochi. The fried horse mackerel for 390 yen was served hot and fresh. Perfect for a quick drink before catching the train. Had the "Suigei" for 429 yen and "Tsukasa Botan" for 429 yen. Total bill came to 2,021 yen. There's also a sake shop called Yamanaka Sake no Mise in Ekimaru, but I found the food here more appealing. It's a nice place for a quick drink before heading to Shin-Osaka. Recommended!"

I met my mother at Ekimaru inside Osaka Station! The bonito tataki and sashimi platter were delicious with thickly sliced fish, providing a satisfying chewy texture. It seems to be run by a fisherman from Kochi, so you can't go wrong with that! I unexpectedly enjoyed a delicious meal in a nice place!

In October 2022, the Osaka tour is finally coming to an end. This is just the first one though. Already finished the second tour, and maybe planning a Gear Third tour as well? (laughs) If you haven't read One Piece, you won't understand this, haha. But, there's probably no one else who suits the streets of Osaka as much as I do, so it might be unnatural if I weren't here, haha. Now, leaving Hikosushi behind, I returned to JR Osaka Station, the starting point. Usually, I would take the train back home from here, but this time I had a shop I wanted to visit, so I arrived early. The place I wanted to visit was Ekimarche Osaka, a new spot at Osaka Station that opened on 7/14. Among them, the shop I really wanted to visit after seeing a review by my favorite reviewer, Oitadai Creamer, was "Gyoshizakaba Araki Ekimarche Osaka Store." I tried to visit the shop when I arrived last time and this time, but it seems to be overwhelmingly popular within the market, isn't it? Both times, the shop was full, so I had to give up... By the way, there is also a shop at NOMOKA in Whity Umeda, but perhaps "Wasurena Kusa" is the more popular shop there? (laughs) Well, seafood izakayas are probably shops that everyone loves. On this day too, there were many customers using it for lunch, so I decided to explore the market while waiting for a seat to become available. When I returned, some customers were leaving, so I was able to enter the shop and sit at the end of the counter. First, I ordered a draft beer and chose the "Fisherman's Sashimi Assortment" with 7 varieties as my side dish. While waiting and drinking the draft beer, the sashimi arrived. The lineup included bonito, yellowtail, red snapper, salmon, greater amberjack, fresh octopus, and marinated mackerel. A small Japanese umbrella was included as a garnish, which looked lovely. The sashimi pieces were cut quite thick, especially the bonito and salmon, which were impressive. This sashimi had a satisfying texture, and enjoying it with the beer was exceptional. So, I leisurely enjoyed the meal, but since it was close to the ticket gate, it was convenient. If it were in a building further away, I would have had to run, haha. It's so convenient that I'm sure I'll visit again sometime in the future. And with this, the October First Tour has come to an end. I plan to start the Second Tour review soon, so stay tuned!

JR Osaka Station's station building commercial facility "Ekimaru Osaka" has reopened its second phase with the theme of "delicious commuting" on July 14th! One of the places I visited this time is a popular izakaya produced by fishermen from Okinoshima, the southernmost tip of Shikoku. Fresh seafood caught in Kochi is delivered daily. The lunchtime was very crowded, so I revisited at a different time. Order: Sushi - Pacific saury (176 yen), Bigfin reef squid (198 yen), Bluefin tuna (308 yen), Tuna assorted sashimi (1078 yen) - a specialty overflowing with diced tuna and negitoro in a square box. From appetizers to grilled dishes, rice dishes, and a wide variety of sake, the prices are reasonable. Next time, I'll take my time to enjoy the food when I have more time.

I was looking for a seafood dish with fried chicken, and I found the perfect menu. The Shirasu-don with delicious shirasu for 880 yen is quite reasonable. Considering its location near the exit of Osaka Station, it's even better. I have other dishes I want to try, so I will definitely stop by when I pass by again. lol

On August 6th, Reiwa 4 (Saturday), we decided to explore the area around Umetsu Sanjo Alley. Along the way, the lively atmosphere of Ekimaru Market caught our attention! There was a tempting Chinese restaurant that we considered visiting, but we were surprised to find that the market had been completely renovated since our last visit. The assorted sashimi for 1080 yen is the best deal. Just this alone makes me want to drink sake all night. Whether it's grilled, stewed, or raw fish, this is the place to go. It was around 7 pm, but this place was the busiest in Ekimaru Market. The prices are reasonable and the cost performance is good. I feel relieved when these kinds of restaurants become long-standing establishments. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.
