It's been a while since I visited Kohaku. I usually make a reservation before going, but this time I visited without one. I asked if they had any cocktails with strawberries because I really like them, but unfortunately they didn't have any that day. I guess strawberries are expensive. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to try it. So, I decided to try a cocktail made with tea liqueur instead. It had a nice tea aroma and tasted delicious. After that, I tried a cocktail made with chocolate liqueur. They used Godiva liqueur that day. It had a sweet chocolate aroma and tasted really good. Sometimes I crave for refreshing cocktails, but sometimes I just want to enjoy sweet cocktails like these. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited after a long time. I really wanted to drink a cocktail with fruits. But first, a glass of bubbly. I love the feeling of the bubbles going down my throat. Next, the fruit cocktail. They made a cocktail using white strawberries for me. It was incredibly delicious!! I savored every sip. I wanted another one, so I asked if they had a cocktail with red strawberries, and they did. It was also delicious. The strawberry cocktails have a fun texture with the little seeds. I had a wonderful time. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again soon.

I visited after a long time. When I called before coming, they said it was full. But after about an hour, I decided to try my luck and they had a table available!!! Good timing!! I couldn't decide what to order, so I asked for a light alcohol strawberry cocktail. The sweetness and aroma of the strawberries made me feel happy. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering another one. This place is definitely a hidden gem.

This was my second visit. Finally managed to take some photos this time. Just like the first time, I was surprised to find such a stylish and quiet bar in this kind of place. The exterior, interior, and atmosphere of the shop are all great, and the background music is pleasant. I think I only had one drink this time, a chocolate-based alcohol which was incredibly delicious. I had a relaxing time. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Andrea Pirlo's review series that pierced my heart - Volume 16: Bar Kohaku. The taciturn owner served me momo-yaki and sake after dining at Ogata, and then I finally visited Bar Kohaku, which had been on my mind. The entrance had a heavy door, giving off the vibe of a high-end, members-only bar. If I hadn't read Andrea Pirlo's review, I would have definitely turned tail and left. It felt like a stylish bar you would find in Nishi-Azabu or Roppongi. There were single and double counters, as well as erotic box seats at the back. I mentioned that I came from Ogata, who seemed to know the owner, but all I got was a casual "oh." The owner silently shaved ice, seeming to convey an "don't talk to me" atmosphere (although he was polite when taking orders). My go-to is Corona beer, but such a common beer was not available at this stylish bar. It was either Premium Malt or COEDO beer. I couldn't stand the taste of Premium Malt, so I chose COEDO beer. It was a Saitama beer with various types available. I was too drunk after drinking six bottles of beer at Ogata, so I couldn't read the COEDO beer pamphlet. I started with COEDO beer Ruri, which had a fruity aroma that didn't feel like beer. It had a fruity sweetness closer to red wine or brandy, making me crave chocolate. I ordered chocolate, imagining alphabet chocolate or something similar, but of course, such things wouldn't be served at this stylish bar. It was homemade raw chocolate with finely crushed chocolate bars inside, and it was incredibly delicious! It was 30 times better than chocolate from a chocolate shop. As expected, it paired perfectly with COEDO beer. Next, I had COEDO beer Kyara, which also had a fruity aroma like Ruri. It would definitely appeal to women. I ordered another round of chocolate, which the master gladly accepted, but he remained silent as usual. It was a stylish and calming bar. I would love to visit again with someone special.

There are stylish bars in Nishijin as well. While patrolling Nishijin, I felt like having a few more drinks today, so I visited this place. I had known about this place beforehand, and it's a bar with a low entrance where you have to bend down to enter. Inside, there was an old man at the counter and a couple at the back booth. I started with a gin and tonic. I couldn't see what kind of gin they were using, but it was definitely different from the gin and tonics at izakayas. As I nibbled on mixed nuts, I tried to strike up a conversation with the master, who seemed a bit shy. I asked if this kind of bar was rare in Nishijin, to which he replied that there were quite a few. I then asked for a second drink, leaving it up to the master to mix something. He concocted a cocktail, which turned out to be their original creation, and it was delicious. Since I'm more of a shochu guy, I usually only drink gin and tonics. I asked if I should finish the night with ramen, but decided to head home instead. The conversation didn't flow much, but I actually like this kind of laid-back master. I think he's in his late 30s. I'll definitely visit again. The cover charge is 500 yen, and cocktails are around 1,000 yen.

Located along the Nishijin Orange Street, just a 2-3 minute walk from Nishijin Station in Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, BAR KOHAKU is a stylish and authentic bar in the bustling neighborhood of Nishijin. Despite being in a popular area, this bar stands out as a sophisticated spot for a night out or a classy date. I visited with some middle-aged housewives from the area, looking to escape the ordinary and enjoy an adult girls' night out. As we entered through the small door, we were greeted by a sparkling counter and glimmering glasses, creating a kaleidoscope-like atmosphere. While there is seating at the counter, we opted for a private table in the back. Although I believe there was a menu, the bartender was happy to craft cocktails based on our preferences. The cover charge was around 500 yen from what I remember, and cocktails ranged from around 1,000 yen. I asked the bartender to create original cocktails based on color and atmosphere! The bartender kindly accepted and created a cocktail using Amaou strawberries and gin for the red color, sweet taste, and strong flavor, and another cocktail with a peach base subtly infused with cherry blossom for a spring-like, cherry blossom-inspired, sweet, and strong drink. Both cocktails were delicious.

The customer service attitude is terrible. They don't even make eye contact and their tone is very blunt. Customers who came in after us even left before us. The interior is amazing, but it's a shame.

It's very calming.

Located on Orange Street in Nishijin, just a 2-3 minute walk from Nishijin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway, BAR KOHAKU is a stylish and authentic bar in the popular neighborhood of Nishijin. Despite being a rare upscale spot in Nishijin, it is a great place for an adult date. I visited with my yoga friends, after a wild night at a local izakaya. The entrance is low, so be careful not to bump your head when entering. The bar has a small counter with about 5 seats, and there is also a small private room in the back. The atmosphere is surprisingly high-end for Nishijin. The cover charge is 500 yen, and the cocktails are around 1,000 yen each, which is reasonable. I enjoyed a few cocktails, including a Mojito, and they were all delicious. This Manhattan was my final drink of the night. My friend had a Kahlua Milk. We were too drunk to take photos, but my friend reminded me to capture the moment. This visit coincided with the end of the Yamakasa festival in Hakata, signaling the start of summer. BAR KOHAKU is a great spot for adults in Nishijin, away from the festival crowds in Hakata.

Before going to a dinner restaurant, I passed by this place and the exterior looked nice, so I decided to stop by after dinner. I remember taking a photo of the exterior, but I can't seem to find it now. When I tried to post a review, I saw that MyRebi had already visited... The interior of the restaurant is stylish as well. There are seats for about 6 people. They have a wide variety of drinks, so it seems like a fun place to enjoy. My husband had a single malt whisky called "Yoichi", which has a smooth and delicious taste, but I heard it will be discontinued soon. I ordered a light cocktail with a fruity base. It was made with juice instead of fresh fruit, and had a refreshing taste. The glass it was served in was stylish. While Nishijin is known as a young people's town, this place has an adult atmosphere. The bartender seemed a bit difficult to approach at first, but once you get to know him, he's actually quite friendly. I'm glad I found this nice bar.

The winter gathering with classmates in early 2014 has ended, and the remaining members head to a bar together! We enter and settle into a private booth with 4 people. Everyone orders their favorite cocktails and enjoys the evening. As usual, the "Mint Julep" is refreshing, while the "Cosmopolitan" ordered by a friend is a sweet and sour delight. The "Non-Alcoholic Cocktail" (forgot the name) is surprisingly elegant, despite being ordered by a man. The "Mixed Nuts" arrive in a generous portion, perfect for snacking while sipping on strong cocktails. My second drink, the "Sidecar," is made just as I requested, with a hint of ice floating on top. The brandy and Cointreau blend beautifully in this citrusy concoction. Feeling adventurous, I order a third drink, the "Margarita," in a snow style, with tequila and a hint of salt on the glass rim. It's one of my favorite cocktails! A friend orders the classic "Manhattan," which comes with a side of sweet vermouth for a unique touch. The dried fruit platter is beautifully presented, adding to the upscale atmosphere of the bar. As we start feeling the effects of the strong drinks, we decide it's time to head home. But wait, someone suggests going to a nearby karaoke bar... and off we go, disappearing into the night. (Sorry, no piggyback ride review this time!)

At a bar located in the back of Praliba, when you head towards Karasunomachi, you'll find a cozy spot with a small interior of 4.5 counter seats and one table. Despite its size, the atmosphere is comfortable and the selection of Western liquor and cocktail making skills are top-notch. Their hand-drip coffee is also quite popular. The unfamiliar sign outside caught my attention and drew me in. The entrance is a bit low, making it a bit difficult to enter if you've had a few drinks. The interior is just the right brightness, with four sofa-style chairs at the counter allowing for a relaxed experience. The master, who appears to be in his 30s, is soft-spoken and wears a vest with style, fitting in perfectly with the calm ambiance. He has been passionate about bars since his student days and has trained at hotel bars as well. The hand-drip coffee made with a siphon after ordering is quite popular. The master is skilled at making cocktails, even non-alcoholic ones, so some customers come for a final drink. The prices are around 2,000 to 3,000 yen for three drinks if you choose well-known bottles, with the main range being around 1,000 yen each. They don't offer much in terms of food. The master's preference for high-quality whiskey is also evident, with three prestigious blends like Hibiki 17y and Royal Household costing around 6,500 yen. It was a nice and calming space, and I would definitely consider visiting again.

I was invited by a friend to the third bar of the day! Still going strong (lol) and we chose a bar called "Kohaku" that caught our eye. It was my first visit and I opted for the counter seat. The atmosphere of the place was great, and the most impressive thing was the glasses! Every glass that came out was lovely. I started with a classic Daiquiri for my first drink, and then moved on to whiskey for the second. The taste was okay overall. But the beautiful glasses made it all the more enjoyable. I'd love to go back just to admire the lovely glasses while having a drink. [Daiquiri satisfaction rating ★★★☆☆]

I was taken by a friend to visit the bar "Kohaku" for the first time and it was my third stop of the night. Since my friend is a regular, we were guided to a private room at the back. The atmosphere of the place was great, and the private room had a cozy space with sofas. For my first drink, I ordered a draft beer, and for my second drink, I had a "Grasshopper" cocktail. It was surprisingly delicious! For my third drink, I requested a cocktail with fruit, and I was served a kumquat cocktail. It was made with fresh kumquat and had a unique taste that was very delicious. I would love to go back and enjoy more delicious drinks at this bar.
