The designated restaurant for dining in Shinsaibashi was located in the basement of Hotel Nikko Osaka. We opted for the course that included 5 dishes featuring 9 types of seasonal tempura for 7700 yen. We sat around an L-shaped counter with our family and started with a toast with beer. The tempura was placed on bread and then baked, a unique style. The tempura started with shrimp and included a luxurious shrimp fry. The small dishes served at the beginning, especially the braised pork, were delicious. Although they only had small bottles of beer, the wine list was reasonably priced, so we switched to wine. The tempura was all delicious, with my personal favorite being the kelp with fish roe. We also ordered a bottle of white wine to share. The tempura meal ended with a light tea-flavored rice porridge and dessert. Overall, it was a leisurely and enjoyable dining experience.

I visited for lunch and had the beef cutlet set meal, which was 1650 yen including tax. The freshly fried beef cutlet was delicious. It's all thanks to the skills of the chef. The side dishes were also very tasty, and the fresh vegetables were nicely chilled. I enjoyed squeezing some lemon and eating it with wasabi and sauce. I would like to go back again!

I often visit the Hotel Nikko for lunch! I have also visited this kushikatsu restaurant for lunch several times. Today, I had the ¥1,000 Rosu Katsu Zen. I have also tried the Beef Katsu Zen and the Omakase Zen, but personally, I found the Rosu Katsu Zen to be the most delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Returned from Mount Koya to Osaka on a day trip. Stayed at Hotel Nikko Osaka today. Feeling tired from walking during the day, I had dinner at a tempura restaurant on the B2F of the hotel. The restaurant had a simple layout with only counter seats in a U-shape. I was seated at the center front seat. It was around 7:00 PM, but there were no other customers, so it felt spacious and almost like a private room. I ordered the Omakase Kushiage Mutsuki (2,800 yen) and a Ginger Ale (500 yen). The set included 8 types of kushiage, a small side dish, salad, ochazuke, and today's dessert. There were 5 types of sauces to choose from: salt, sauce, peanut sauce, Japanese-style, and lemon flavor. The kushiage was all freshly fried and deliciously hot. The Mitsuse chicken was a brand chicken from Saga, and it felt strange to see it served here. After finishing the meal, they even toasted the base bread and served it, leaving no waste. The small side dishes were also delicious with well-infused flavors. The salad was refillable. I'm not a big fan of matcha-based desserts, but the sherbet here had a mild matcha flavor that was nice. This meal was perfect for when you want something light or for women with just the right amount of volume.
