Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. CRAZY MALT. A ramen shop created by the owner who fell in love with ramen, perhaps. I don't know. I visited the shop after checking reviews. Established in 2007 in Miko-cho, Sangun, and relocated to Yanagawa City in 2014. A pork bone ramen specialty shop. The soup made with three heavy wings is made using a "recall method" of using pig heads and knuckles from Kurume Denzoku. The exterior has a cool vibe that doesn't look like a ramen shop. There is a parking lot in front of and behind the shop. It was full on Sunday at 12:30. The inside of the shop doesn't feel crowded. Maybe because there is no counter for solo customers? I declined to share a table. In the end, I was seated at a table for four people. I couldn't help but worry about the turnover rate. I ordered the Fried Rice Set for 930 yen (ramen + half fried rice). The ramen has a classic Kurume taste. The soup is incredibly delicious. Probably too much of a pork bone taste for those who don't like it. A bit too much praise, but it's the best. The fried rice is moist with plenty of eggs. The sweetness of finely chopped carrots is amazing. Therefore, the fried rice is orange in color. The pickled vegetables are spicy and have a good crunch. I was impressed. This ramen is delicious. The price is unbelievably cheap. Thank you for the meal.

Crazy Malt. When I visited after 1pm, there were 2 people ahead of me waiting. After waiting for 15 minutes, I finally got inside the restaurant. Since it was my first time there, I ordered the standard fried rice set for 930 yen. The ramen soup was pork bone based and quite delicious. The noodles had a unique firmness and were smooth and tasty. The fried rice was average. The staff seemed a bit busy.

During my trip to Fukuoka, I visited a ramen shop on the way to the Yanagawa boat ride that I had been wanting to go to for a while. The name and appearance of the shop didn't seem like a typical tonkotsu ramen place, but it had good reviews so I decided to check it out. The tonkotsu ramen had a surprisingly light soup, in my opinion, but my companion thought it was rich. Evaluating ramen can be quite subjective. The fried rice was also delicious, but adding toppings like burnt garlic, pickled greens, sesame seeds, etc. from the condiments at the back of the shop made it even tastier.

I had a Chahan set (ramen + half chahan) for ¥870. The name and appearance of the restaurant had a very American feel and did not look like a typical ramen shop, but the ramen served was truly authentic tonkotsu ramen. The soup was packed with the richness and depth of pork bone, and the straight thin noodles matched perfectly. When I added the spicy miso provided on the table, the deliciousness doubled. The chahan, which looked orange overall, contained ingredients such as egg, kamaboko, onion, and carrot, with the sweetness of finely chopped carrot and onion standing out in a homely flavor. It was a strange experience to have authentic tonkotsu ramen in an American-style restaurant.

Hello! I'm a ramen enthusiast in my 40s. Work is tough, but on weekends I sometimes go out to eat ramen. Today is Sunday. I went to explore a ramen shop in Yanagawa City called Crazy Malt. The name of the shop and its exterior/interior look like a dining & bar, right? I arrived before 12:00. Customers kept coming in one after another. There are mostly table seats and it seems like there are no counter seats. You might have to share a table when it's crowded. It's hard to park in front of the shop, but there is a proper parking lot in the back. I ordered the lunch set with ramen and a small fried rice for 870 yen. It's truly a classic tonkotsu ramen. The rich and mild sweet tonkotsu soup was surprisingly good. I can't quite express it, but the noodles were of really high quality. And the small fried rice was delicious! It had a generous portion and great value for the price. It might be the most delicious fried rice I've had at a ramen shop. It's a fried rice set that makes you want to eat it again. Focusing on a bowl of ramen, this is mindfulness! Thank you for the meal!

Today is Friday and I had a busy schedule from the morning, going from Chikuho City to Yanagawa City to Oogawa City to Saga Yoshinogari. Finally, in the afternoon, I had some time for lunch and decided to have ramen for the first time in a while. I went to Crazy Malt in Yanagawa City. I think they must have recently opened. I ordered the ramen. Honestly, I don't remember the taste from before, so I tried it with a fresh mind. The soup was tonkotsu (pork bone) and it was quite light and thin. The noodles were thin and soft. It was a simple ramen. Adding spice halfway through made it taste much better. Next time, I'll try adding spice from the beginning to make it spicier.

In Yukuhashi City, Fukuoka Prefecture, there is a ramen specialty shop called CRAZY MALT, which serves a dish called "Chinese Soba" topped with green onions and a half-cooked egg, along with a side of fried rice. The shop's name sounds like it could offer whisky as well. The ramen uses two types of noodles, and the chicken bone soy sauce ramen I tried was simple yet delicious, with a slightly sweet flavor. The char siu was cooked in the broth used for the soup base. The green onion topping may have been unnecessary as it covered the soup, but the standout dish was the fried rice, which was moist and flavorful, with perfectly cut vegetables. The interior of the shop was unexpected for a ramen place, and I look forward to trying more items on the menu in the future.

When I went to Yanagawa and searched for Chinese soba, I found this shop. It doesn't look like a typical ramen shop, but it seems to be a shop mainly focused on tonkotsu ramen. The Chinese soba that appeared was super simple with only chashu and green onions as toppings, which is quite bold. When I slurped the soup, it had a sweet yet savory flavor that made it easy to drink. Adding plenty of pepper made the taste more well-rounded. The curly Chinese noodles paired well with the soup. I think it's a perfect bowl to finish off after drinking.

This entrance is so mysterious that it makes you wonder what this place used to be. First, you open the automatic door and enter, then there is another door, solid and you can't see the atmosphere inside. When you open it, you find an American casual-style restaurant. The "welcome" is there, and the staff are not overly loud or quirky in their service. However, it would be nice to have a bit more explanation after taking the order. The interior is a bit impersonal, with no labels like "pickled ginger" or "spicy miso" on the containers. Even though toppings like pickled ginger or spicy mustard greens are placed elsewhere for free, it might be helpful to mention their location when taking orders to avoid customers missing out. I almost left without adding any toppings myself. And the highlight was the spicy miso in a white pot. Since there was no label, when the ramen was brought, I had to ask if it was meant to be added. It would have been nice to have been told what it was or how spicy it was. Later, after adding the spicy miso towards the end, I ended up sweating profusely as it turned out to be quite spicy. It would have been better if they had mentioned it was spicy. As for the taste, it was well-seasoned, but not too rich, with a strong simmering effect from high heat. The ramen took over 10 minutes to arrive despite the few customers, and even though I asked for firm noodles, they were a bit soft, which was surprising. There are various types of ramen, and I may want to visit again, but it might take some time before I return. Overall, it was an interesting dining experience.

Hi there, it's Anagi-chan (*☻-☻*)! Today, my hyena son, Ik-kun, and I went to CRAZY MART, a ramen shop with a unique and stylish entrance. The atmosphere inside was like a secret love affair, with a bar-like vibe that made you want to order a Salty Dog or Mai Tai. Ik-kun said the ramen was delicious, but I decided to try the oil noodles this time. We also ordered a snack set and some dumplings. The food was tasty, especially the half portion of char siu. The oil noodles were a new experience for me, with a delicious mix of ingredients. The dumplings were small but flavorful, and I loved the garlic flavor. Overall, it was a great dining experience at CRAZY MART, and I look forward to going back to try more dishes like the char siu and the oil noodles. See you next time! Adieu ♡

The old-fashioned flavors of the ramen here are a bit different, with delicious soup and noodles, as well as tasty fried rice and dumplings! I love the ramen here, but the fried rice and dumplings are also amazing. Especially the dumplings that come in the Stamina Ramen, they are great even when dipped in the ramen broth! Although dumplings are not listed as a topping on the menu, when I asked if I could add them, they kindly agreed. The Stamina Ramen has a lot of pork slices, but I'm not a big fan of pork, so being able to add dumplings to my ramen was perfect for me. When ordering dumplings, they will ask if you want them with or without garlic, which is great for those who are sensitive to strong smells, like women. (I personally love garlic, so I have never tried them without garlic...) Lastly, there are sesame seeds and pickled vegetables available as toppings on the table to the left after entering the restaurant. The parking lot is not only in front of the restaurant, but also behind the building where the restaurant is located. I look forward to writing about other restaurants I have never been to or my usual go-to places in the future.

After going there a few times, I realized it's around here, right? It's located in a place where you need to pay attention, even if you've been there before. It's along the road, but the atmosphere of the ramen shop is almost non-existent. (laughs) Knowing it's a ramen shop gives a sense of relief, but the atmosphere seems to be selective of its customers. It may be a smart strategy, but it also has elements that may not appeal to everyone. When you see it, it looks like an entrance to a bar, and I felt the attention to detail. Upon entering the store, I noticed table seats and about five sunken kotatsu tables, but I felt uncomfortable sitting at the table seats and ended up at the sunken kotatsu. (laughs) The staff is friendly and has a good vibe. You can hardly smell the pork bone aroma, and the interior of the store has an American-like atmosphere with walls intentionally left with a material feel, making it enjoyable. In addition to pork bone ramen, they also offer burnt miso tonkotsu, chuka soba, abura soba, and curry and pork bone collaboration ramen. The chuka soba is a lunchtime limited menu, while the burnt miso is a nighttime limited menu. They also offer set menus such as fried rice set, gyoza set, and ladies' set. The gyoza set is priced at 750 yen, and the ramen is 550 yen. We ordered firm noodles, and while waiting, my partner brought high-quality pickles from the free high-quality pickle corner. The previous customers were mostly moms with kids, and there were also single women. For some reason, there were only women that day. (^_^*) It's nice to have a ramen shop where women can enter without worrying. The first thing that was brought was the set rice and gyoza. You can choose whether or not to have garlic in the gyoza set, and we chose without garlic. The gyoza in the set is five pieces of bite-sized gyoza, with a little yuzu pepper on the side. When I tried it, the filling inside was more like a paste than having a firm texture, and the taste was a bit unusual, with a hint of a peculiar flavor that may differ in preference. The ramen surprisingly took quite some time to be served. The surface of the soup was not greasy at all and seemed to be emulsified, but it was quite light. When I tried it, the soup had a gentle taste rather than being rich, with a mild flavor. The slightly restrained saltiness and well-balanced soup made me feel like there was a bit lacking in umami or richness. This may depend on the day, time, or timing. (^_^*) We ordered firm noodles, but honestly, they were cooked to a normal to slightly soft texture. Despite that, the slightly chewy texture of the noodles made me feel that the soup and noodles didn't quite match well. Compared to the ramen from the previous "Chu" shop, this one felt a bit more subdued and mild. I'd like to visit again and see how it goes. Thank you for the meal.

On October 10, 2014, I visited "CRAZY MALT" in Yufuin. I arrived right at the opening time of 6:00 PM and was one of two customers. The restaurant seemed to have kept the same name as the previous one that was there. I ordered the Chahan set (ramen + small fried rice) for 800 yen. The food arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The noodles were medium thickness and slightly soft, and the soup was a delicious tonkotsu broth. The chashu had a good amount of fat and was to my liking. The small fried rice had ingredients like fish cake, chashu, onion, and egg, with a bit less chashu than I would have liked. Despite being called "small," the portion was quite generous. I left satisfied after the meal and bid farewell to Yufuin. Thank you for the meal.

This is "CRAZY MALT," which opened in Yufu in April this year. I visited the day after it opened and had the chashu ramen that day. It was different from the soup at the previous location "Naka," which was also a popular shop at the time. I had planned to register at that time, but since there was no phone number, I had to give up on registering on Tabelog. About four months have passed since then, and although it has been introduced in gourmet magazines, it seems that no one can register due to the lack of a phone number. Some brave souls may register with fake phone numbers like MyRebi, but I can't do that. On the last day of the Bon Festival holiday, since my family was all together, we decided to have ramen for dinner. The suggestion came from the head of the household, and everyone agreed. So we decided to try this restaurant that I had been very curious about since it opened. The restaurant is located just across from the Trial Yufu store on National Route 208. The appearance of the restaurant, as well as the interior, give off an American-style pub vibe rather than a ramen shop. I chose this place because I had never been here since it opened, and my family seemed excited. We set off, eager to go! We left home and arrived in Yufu in about 20 minutes along the coastal road. The staff, including the lady who wasn't there at the opening, seemed to be working hard with the owner and his wife. The dishes arrived one by one, and the soup had a milky white color with a sweet pork bone aroma. It had a good smell. The noodles were medium thick, and although I had requested firm noodles, they were slightly softer. The fried rice was just as good as it was during the "Naka" era, with a slightly sweet taste. I felt that the ramen had definitely become more delicious than it was at the opening. I tried to get the phone number from the lady staff, but as expected, they didn't have a phone number, so I was disappointed. However, I didn't give up. After everyone finished their ramen, I entrusted the mission to my son. The instruction was for him to ask for the phone number when the owner came near the register. Finally, my son managed to get the number. Success! I'm glad we were able to register. However, it remains a mystery why they had to change the name of the popular shop. Maybe it's just one of those adult things. Well, as long as the food is delicious, that's all that matters. Thank you for the meal.
