I was curious about the shabu-shabu with bonito broth, so I visited this place. I was a bit skeptical about eating it without sauce, thinking it might be too bland, but the bonito broth was perfectly flavorful and incredibly delicious! The vegetables that come with the pork are thinly sliced root vegetables that cook quickly and still have a nice crunch when eaten with the pork. The appetizers, snacks, and everything else we tried were all delicious. The friendly staff even helped us identify some vegetables we had never seen before. Everyone was smiling, the atmosphere was great, and I definitely want to go back to this place.

A Japanese restaurant that uses pesticide-free vegetables and carefully selected ingredients! I ordered the new menu starting from June, a reservation-only lunch course! The ultimate dashi shabu-shabu main course is made without cutting corners on meat, broth, vegetables, ponzu sauce, and seasonings. The pasture-raised pork is tender with a sweet and mellow flavor that is irresistible! The aroma-rich and quickly melting bonito flakes with freshly cooked rice are all-you-can-eat, which is a plus. Topping it with dragon eggs to make bonito flakes and egg over rice is also recommended. The four side dishes go well with rice and sake. The fresh sashimi assortment and the sweet and savory special fried chicken were also delicious! The homemade jasmine pudding has a smooth mouthfeel that is exquisite! It becomes even more delicious when topped with caramel sauce made with oolong tea. It is perfect for souvenirs as it is available for takeout.

I had the fried chicken set meal, but it was not very good. The fried chicken was flavorful, but they didn't remove the yellow fat part of the chicken, so it wasn't that great. Considering it cost 1,100 yen, the price and taste didn't match. Overall, I didn't find it very delicious. I would rather pay 1,500 yen for something tastier. They served bonito flakes, but there was no explanation on how to eat them, so I had to ask. The bonito flakes were thin and easy to eat, just tasted normal. However, they didn't really go well with the fried chicken, so the set meal was a bit confusing. I put the bonito flakes on top of the rice, but eating them with the fried chicken was not my thing. It was just average with no standout features. For fried chicken, I would definitely prefer somewhere like Yamaya.

This is a shop located under the elevated tracks at Umeda Station on the Hankyu Main Line. There is always a line during lunchtime, so I've been wanting to try their lunch for a while. This time, I was able to visit almost right at opening time, so I could enter without waiting in line. The first floor has counter seats and a few table seats, while the second floor seems to be the main dining area. There are about 7 lunch sets available, each coming with unlimited rice refills and freshly shaved bonito flakes. It's generous that even the bonito flakes in the box are unlimited. Additionally, you can add toppings of 4 specialty ingredients to your meal. [Osaka specialty!! Pork roll lunch][Special fried chicken small topping] I chose this lunch set this time. The main dish is sweet and tender pork wrapped in dashimaki tamago, soaked in bonito broth. Each flavor is distinct and quite delicious. The overall taste may be a bit strong, but the gentle flavor of the bonito broth balances it out. The 3 side dishes were also tasty and complemented the rice well. As for the bonito flakes, they are delicious on their own, but they are best enjoyed on rice with soy sauce. It was so good that I couldn't help but ask for a refill. In addition to miso soup, I also added the special fried chicken this time. There were about 3 pieces of fried chicken, which were juicy and flavorful on their own. There is also a fried chicken set available, but it's hard to resist adding it to the meal. With delicious side dishes, unlimited bonito flakes, and rice, it's no wonder this place is so popular. I would love to go back for lunch again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during the weekday afternoon. Usually there is a long line on weekends, but this time I arrived after 1pm so I was able to enter without waiting. Unfortunately, the meat rolls I wanted were sold out, so I had the mackerel nanban instead. They offered unlimited bonito flakes to sprinkle on top, and I enjoyed it very much.

When I asked the older sister for recommendations, she said that recently, due to the heat, sea bream and salmon roe dashi tea pickles are popular, and also a new menu item is the miso cutlet bowl. I'm a sucker for anything labeled "new," so I went for the miso cutlet bowl priced at 1300 yen. The bonito flakes are interesting too, but the side dishes are so delicious that I can't help but use a lot of tartar sauce. It made me feel like I need to clean my kitchen more, but other than that, it's a nice place run by two lively older sisters.

I had lunch at a restaurant I had been curious about for a while, near my company. I ordered the meat-wrapped lunch set, which came with bonito flakes. I had to wait a bit, but I was seated quickly. The set included egg-wrapped meat, egg, dashi soup, rice, miso soup, three side dishes, and bonito flakes, all of which were very delicious. I ended up getting extra rice and bonito flakes. I left a little rice at the end and poured the dashi from the egg onto it. It was so tasty that the restaurant was constantly busy with customers coming in.

Highest grade bonito flakes with free refills [Taz-ya Hankyu Umeda store] A restaurant that is particular about ingredients such as direct delivery of pesticide-free vegetables, premium bonito flakes "Honkarebushi" made from single-hooked bonito, and handmade "Nama Konnyaku" made from potatoes without additives. This was my second visit! I ordered the choice of daily lunch set.
- Sea bream and salmon roe dashi chazuke with grated yam for ¥1,300 The dashi broth is delicious, with a perfect amount of fat on the sea bream and the popping texture of the salmon roe. Since it's chazuke, it's refreshing even in the summer. Rice is also free refill, so for the second bowl, I topped it with bonito flakes and dragon egg on egg over rice. The premium bonito flakes are thinly shaved and fluffy, melting in your mouth. The side dishes are all simple in flavor, allowing you to enjoy the ingredients. For dessert, I had the Jasmine pudding for ¥300, made with high-quality tea leaves "Jasmine Chun Hao". The moment you put it in your mouth, the jasmine aroma floats up. The caramel sauce uses oolong tea, which is incredibly delicious! Every dish was delicious, living up to its reputation.

This shop is located about a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, and there is always a line at lunchtime, so I went to check it out! This place seems to specialize in vegetables and bonito flakes sourced directly from farmers, and I ordered the Alacarte course which includes them! In conclusion, it was amazing!! Every dish had a gentle flavor base of dashi with spices that complemented the alcohol, making it incredibly delicious! The menu is a perfect match for those who love Japanese cuisine!

When I entered the restaurant, I found the interior to be not very spacious and slightly uneasy due to the vibrations from passing trains. However, all the dishes were very delicious. It's a place I would like to visit again. The appetizer of thick fried tofu with condiments served first was very tasty and set high expectations. Originally, I was planning to order just one dish, but upon hearing the recommendation from the staff, I also ordered the shabu-shabu. The deep-fried radish with chicken, the assorted sashimi platter, and the shabu-shabu with bonito broth from Ibusuki were all very delicious. I particularly liked how the meat was thinly sliced.

I visited on a Sunday and had to wait in line. I wrote my name and waited to be called. I waited outside for about 20 minutes. I was guided to the second floor and ordered the weekend-only menu, the meat and tofu set meal, with grated yam for an additional 300 yen. Tea and bonito flakes were self-service. With the quality of the meat, I felt like one visit was enough for me.

I came to Tatsuya, a popular restaurant in Umeda known for its delicious Japanese cuisine and shabu-shabu. They have recently introduced a new a la carte course, so as a fan of Tatsuya, I couldn't miss it. Here's what I ordered:
A la carte course:
- Appetizer
- Caprese with tomato and cheese
- Seasonal fish carpaccio with basil Genovese
- Deep-fried simmered daikon with fried garlic chives sauce
- Deep-fried young chicken
- Wagyu beef carpaccio with aromatic soy sauce
- Tomato cheese risotto
- Jasmine pudding
The appetizer included tofu with flying fish roe and bonito flakes, showcasing the high-quality ingredients used at Tatsuya. The Caprese was a delightful dish that highlighted the freshness of the ingredients, pairing well with wine or a sour cocktail. The fish carpaccio was visually appealing and tasted amazing, with the fish being tender and perfect for accompanying drinks.
The deep-fried simmered daikon was a unique and delicious dish that I had never tried before. The combination of flavors was impressive, and the daikon was cooked to perfection. The deep-fried young chicken was incredibly tender and crispy, making it a great snack with beer.
The Wagyu beef carpaccio had a nice sear on the outside, adding a smoky flavor to the tender meat. Rolling the beef with a generous amount of chopped green onions enhanced the taste even more. The tomato cheese risotto was a flavorful and comforting dish, perfect for finishing off the meal.
For dessert, I had the Jasmine pudding, a signature dish at Tatsuya. The fragrance of jasmine combined with the rich sweetness of the pudding was a delightful treat.
Overall, Tatsuya is a must-visit restaurant in Umeda, offering meticulously crafted dishes and excellent service. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it tends to be quite popular for both lunch and dinner. The beautiful interior and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere that makes dining at Tatsuya a truly enjoyable experience. If you're in Umeda, be sure to try the exquisite dishes at Tatsuya.

I went to the restaurant during Golden Week and made a reservation to match the opening time. When I arrived at 11 o'clock, there was a line of customers who had made reservations, and it seemed like those without reservations would have to wait for the second round. I ordered with grated yam topping, and it was very delicious!

A restaurant that can be patient during lunchtime. This time, I chose it because I wanted to eat delicious hot pot at night. There is a machine for shaving bonito flakes, and you can see the process of shaving. The appetizers also show a commitment to bonito flakes. The hot pot is filled with plenty of bonito flakes, resulting in a delicious broth. There are also many types of alcohol available, so I will definitely use this place again.

Our restaurant serves creative Japanese cuisine made with pesticide-free vegetables from our own farm, freshly shaved premium bonito flakes, Hokkaido free-range pork, and daily delivered fresh seafood. We recommend starting with the grated yam tempura topped with freshly shaved bonito flakes. The tomato salad is full of fresh vegetables and plenty of tomatoes. The simmered daikon radish with garlic chive sauce is a perfect match. Before enjoying the ultimate dashi hot pot, they generously add bonito flakes. The meat and vegetables are both plentiful and delicious. Finally, you can savor the ultimate dashi broth in the porridge until the very end. The staff's service is excellent, creating a calm atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a great dining experience. Highly recommended for gatherings like girls' night out or dates.

I used it for lunch. When I arrived at the restaurant at the reserved time, there was a long line outside, so it was a good decision to make a reservation and go! I was guided to the second floor and ordered the pork shabu-shabu set meal that requires a reservation, so it arrived quickly! Water and bonito flakes (refillable) were self-service! The broth was delicious, and the volume of meat and vegetables was satisfying and delicious! They do not accept card payments for lunch.

Under the elevated structure, you can feel the attention to detail here. Each ingredient is carefully selected, which is why the simple seasoning tastes so delicious. The off-menu item I tried this time, which you can order by reservation the day before, is actually a portion of the dinner menu. As soon as the broth was served in front of me, I knew it was going to be absolutely delicious (and it was a win, haha). As someone who likes to try a variety of dishes when dining out, I appreciate the size of the small dishes that allow you to eat a couple of bites without getting tired, and the abundance of vegetables is a delightful touch. The vegetables are fresh and cooked just right, so you can enjoy them without being overcooked. The pork, despite its appearance, is not too fatty, perhaps because it is cooked shabu-shabu style and eaten with broth and bonito flakes. The mildness of the fat was incredibly tasty. (The ponzu sauce on the side is also on the refreshing side.) The bonito flakes and rice are refillable, so those who like to eat heartily will also be satisfied.

Second lunch visit. Fried chicken set meal for 1,100 yen. It comes with several side dishes and seems popular with women. However, the portion is generous enough to satisfy men as well. The fried chicken is a bit soft and juicy. It also comes with tartar sauce, which is nice. A unique feature is that they provide bonito flakes as a service. They recommended eating it as is, so I did. It was thinly shaved and had a strong flavor. Bonito flakes as a palate cleanser is a nice touch. Thank you for the meal.

Umeda, TAZ-YA✨ A creative Japanese cuisine restaurant near Hankyu Umeda. This time, I visited to try their specialty dish, dashi shabu-shabu. The items we ordered were:

Dashi, a vegetable-focused Japanese restaurant that emphasizes delicious ingredients. They serve freshly shaved bonito flakes on the appetizer. They use organic, pesticide-free vegetables, real wasabi, and kombu, making their dishes body-friendly. I recently visited this place, which caters to those who enjoy eating healthy food. The dashi-flavored yam tempura with freshly shaved bonito flakes on top was delicious. The dashi shabu-shabu dish had plenty of vegetables, including pesticide-free ones that were much tastier and more colorful than usual vegetables. The watercress and lettuce were so sweet, unlike any I've had before. While dining out often involves unhealthy, junky food, this place allows you to enjoy the true flavors of the ingredients. It's located in Hankyu Sanbangai, right next to Kappa Yokocho, so it's easily accessible. I recommend everyone to try their dashi and rich-flavored vegetables.

【Tatsuya Osaka Umeda】I had the ultimate dashi shabu-shabu dinner course for the first time at Tatsuya after a long time (4000 yen). The course included appetizers, tomato salad, simmered daikon radish tempura, Tokachi pastured pork dashi shabu-shabu, and egg rice porridge. The dashi here is really delicious!! I kept drinking the broth ✨ For shabu-shabu, you wrap lots of vegetables in pork and eat them. It's even more delicious when you wrap them in bonito flakes taken from the broth. It was too luxurious. I forgot to take a picture of the porridge at the end, but it was the best porridge I've had recently. I couldn't eat much because I was too full, but next time I'll prepare my stomach and eat a lot!! Thank you for the meal! TAZ-YA Osaka Umeda (2 minutes walk from Hankyu Umeda Station) This time I ordered the ultimate dashi shabu-shabu course (4000 yen) The course includes: - Appetizer - Fruit tomato salad - Simmered radish with deep-fried chicken - Comparison of Hokkaido free-range pork shabu-shabu - Finishing with porridge. ✔️ Appetizer: Agemochi with plenty of bonito flakes on top of the dashi. The agemochi wrapped in seaweed was delicious, and the dashi was so tasty that I drank it all up. ✔️ Fruit tomato salad: Crispy salad with beautiful tomatoes and a dressing that was so delicious I wanted to buy it. ✔️ Simmered radish with deep-fried chicken: It was my first time eating radish this way! The outside was crispy and the inside was juicy, and it went perfectly with the garlic sauce. ✔️ Comparison of Hokkaido free-range pork shabu-shabu: They use homemade kaeshi dashi, and you can compare different flavors. First, you have it as it is, then you can add more bonito flakes. The amount of bonito flakes was amazing, and it made the shabu-shabu even better. Shabu-shabu with organic vegetables and meat, and mushrooms. The meat was Hokkaido free-range pork belly and shoulder loin. Shabu-shabu the meat with vegetables, dip in the bonito flakes, and wrap it with wasabi. It was surprisingly delicious! ✔️ Finishing with porridge: The porridge made with the dashi was delicious. Adding egg and green onions made it perfect. After eating such delicious dashi, I feel proud to be Japanese! I wanted to try the jasmine pudding, but I was too full. I will definitely go back again. It was a very satisfying dinner with healthy ingredients. Thank you! The restaurant has a first and second floor. I visited on a weekday evening, and it was always full. It is recommended to make a reservation before going. I have also been there for lunch, and it is always popular during lunchtime. The dashimaki is incredibly delicious.
