It was hot and I was thirsty, so I decided to have a light tea. I went to Komeda Coffee inside Hakata Station Transport Center. I got a ticket from the machine in front of the store, waited for about 10 minutes, and then entered the store. I was thinking of having a parfait or something light, but it was too hot, so I ordered the strawberry shaved ice with soft serve ice cream on top. I enjoyed mixing the soft serve ice cream with the big shaved ice and was able to eat it all without getting tired of it. The thick toast that my friend was eating also looked delicious. I was able to relax and spend a leisurely time in the cozy atmosphere of the store.

I was planning to go to Kagoshima for a day trip. I had plenty of time before my scheduled bullet train departure, so I decided to leave home a little early and have breakfast at Hakata Station. There was a restaurant I had in mind that offered unlimited rice, miso soup, and mentaiko. However, when I arrived at Hakata Station, I wasn't hungry at all. I hesitated but ultimately decided to skip breakfast. With over an hour until departure, I thought about relaxing at a cafe. I decided to go to Komeda Coffee, which I hadn't visited in a while. I arrived at the store around 7:40 AM, and there were many customers inside, both at the tables and the counter. I sat at an empty table and looked at the menu. I was planning to have coffee and a morning set, but another menu item caught my eye. I debated whether to save it for another visit, but since I had time, I decided to order it. I asked the waiter for Komeda Blend with a morning set of toast, boiled egg, and butter. I also ordered the seasonal limited menu item, Shirunoir Black Mont Blanc. I wondered if the Black Mont Blanc was only available in Kyushu or nationwide. While waiting for my order, I noticed that most customers seemed to be stopping by before work, including both young and elderly patrons. I regretted not choosing a seat with a power outlet, as I wanted to charge my phone. My order arrived in about 10 minutes. The toast was soft and spread with butter, a classic breakfast item. The boiled egg was average, and the Komeda Blend coffee was smooth and easy to drink. I also had a coffee ticket. After finishing the toast and egg, I asked for the Shirunoir, which was promptly served. It looked very different from the regular Shirunoir, with a generous amount of chocolate. The Black Mont Blanc was delicious, with sweet soft serve and rich chocolate. Although it was tasty, I felt it wasn't a typical breakfast item. I finished it leisurely and paid 1400 yen in cash. The Black Mont Blanc was a reasonable price as a standalone item. The restaurant also accepted various cards and cashless payments. I left the cafe immediately after finishing my meal to continue my journey to Kagoshima.

Morning people often debate between being a rice person or a bread person, but the fusion of egg sandwich and pizza toast called "Pizza Toast" is highly recommended. This unique dish combines both preferences into one! It's something that seems familiar yet different. I recommend trying it at least once. Also, although it's not typically a breakfast item, the Napolitan dish is also delicious and worth trying for those whose schedule allows.

This day I went for breakfast. I had a Mini-sized Black Mont Blanc Shironoir for 620 yen and a Wiener coffee for 660 yen. I chose the seasonal limited edition fruit mix jam with oligosaccharides for my breakfast. The collaboration of Shironoir and Black Mont Blanc was irresistible. I love both desserts, so it was the best combination. Even though it was a mini size, I also had a Wiener coffee, so I ended up feeling quite full. I really like the collaboration projects of Shironoir.

Located on the 3rd floor inside the bus center. Directly connected underground from Hakata Station. Easy access without getting wet. ★Opening time: Around 8:15 am on weekdays, with a waiting line of 8 groups outside the store. Some groups left during the wait, and we were able to sit in about 10 minutes. There are chairs outside the store, so waiting is not too much of a pain. ★What I ordered this time: Plenty of Cafe au lait for 700 yen. I tried to order toast and egg paste for breakfast, but they were out of egg paste. I had boiled eggs instead. There are plenty of seats inside the store, so you can relax. The register is self-service, unlike my usual Komeda, which is high-tech. It's located inside the bus center, but they have a restroom inside, and it's clean, which is a plus! Other than that, it's the same as my usual Komeda, so it's reassuring (although they didn't have egg paste). It's the comfort of a chain restaurant. Thank you for the meal~

Located on the 3rd floor of Hakata Bus Terminal, on the right side with Hakata Station's Kamirail side behind, this place is always busy throughout the day. The interior is spacious with tables arranged comfortably. Unlike suburban shops, there are few partitioned seats, with many single seats at the counter. I ordered the miso katsu bread for 990 yen tax included. It was surprising how big the bread was when they served it cut into four pieces. The crispy cutlet with red miso paste was delicious. I was able to enjoy the taste typical of Komeda Coffee, originating from Nagoya.

Located in the Hakata Station Bus Terminal Building, there is a Komeda's Coffee shop. I visited during lunchtime and had to wait for about 3 groups ahead of me. I noticed they have counter seats as well. Even though I was dining alone, they offered me a table seat which was nice. Normally, I share the Ebi Katsu sandwich priced at 990 yen with my partner, but eating it alone filled me up. Unfortunately, the Ebi Katsu wasn't served hot, which was disappointing.

I visited four Komeda Coffee shops within walking distance from Hakata Station over the past two days. The price of Komeda Blend coffee here is how much? It was 560 yen! I realized that even though I'm used to it, it's still expensive. In the Tokai-Kinki region, the highest price is 500 yen. Here are the prices of Komeda Blend coffee in order from highest to lowest (including unreveiwed ones): Tenjin Minami Shop 580 yen, Hakata Bus Terminal Shop 560 yen, Hakata Station Higashi Shop 540 yen, Fukuoka Watanabe-dori 5-chome Shop 520 yen. I decided to try the American coffee at the same price of 560 yen (tax included). It was still delicious, but a bit easier to drink when it cooled down. Real-time reviews are satisfying. Bon appétit! On another note, this morning I visited three udon shops with unique menus, ordering each without any prior research. Yesterday, I visited five udon shops: 1. White curry with mashed potatoes 2. Meat udon derived from meat soba 3. Udon called Fukuoka Sanuki udon, but actually made with a different technique. I experienced the udon kingdom in Fukuoka to its fullest.

I went on a weekday morning to try the collaboration between Shiroi Koibito and Shiro Noir at Komeda Coffee. There were about 3 groups waiting in line, so I waited for about 5 minutes. Since it was morning, I also ordered the morning set which included a roll bread, boiled egg, and lukewarm soy milk. For my drink, I chose the Komeda Blend for 560 yen. It was my first time having Komeda's morning set in a while. The limited quantity roll bread was soft and delicious. I also ordered the Shiro Noir Shiroi Koibito Mini for 720 yen since I had breakfast. Even though it was a mini size, it was still a good portion. The white chocolate was crispy and the white chocolate sauce was tasty. Even the soft serve was white chocolate flavored. I love the collaboration between Shiro Noir and Shiroi Koibito. The staff were also very polite, making it a pleasant experience.

I visited Komeda Coffee on the 3rd floor of the bus terminal because I found my breakfast this morning unsatisfying. It was early in the morning, so I was able to choose my favorite spot and opted for a 4-person table. They had a limited quantity of loaf bread with strawberry jam, egg paste, and hot coffee. The coffee was more expensive than I expected at Chubu Centrair International Airport. The loaf bread was lighter to eat compared to toast.

I went with my child around 10 o'clock and had to wait for about 5 minutes because the restaurant was full. It's amazing how popular it is to be full on a weekday morning. My child had the "Favorite Plate" (with a drink) for 560 yen, which included two sandwiches, fried chicken, french fries, potato salad, tomato, jelly, and a drink. It was a generous portion, almost enough for an adult. The menu was full of items that kids love, which was great. My child chose melon soda for the drink, which came in a cute cup with a lid. I had the Pinky Berry Croquembouche for 820 yen, which was a Valentine's Day version of a regular cream puff with ice cream and ruby chocolate sauce. It was smaller than I expected, but the taste was the same as usual. This seems to be a seasonal item available only at this time of year. I also tried the Pinky Chocolate Wiener for 600 yen, a fluffy drink with ruby chocolate sauce and creamy milk underneath. It was pleasantly sweet, but I should have mixed it before drinking it. The remaining ruby chocolate sauce at the bottom made it too sweet at the end. This is also a seasonal item. For breakfast, I had the anko butter, and the limited jam was grape. Since the grape jam was not listed on the menu from the QR code, I think you need to order it directly from the staff.

I think the best thing about Komeda Coffee's cafe at Hakata Terminal is that the meals are so well-prepared. The taste is also delicious and the cost performance is good. Even though we ordered various items and the price was like a family restaurant, I am still satisfied.

I arrived around 10:30 AM and there were quite a few customers. The partitions set up for COVID-19 prevention seemed effective. Many solo customers were working on their laptops. It's a good place for solo customers like me. Until 11 AM, there was a morning menu available, so I ordered a soy milk latte for 550 yen and chose the D option from Morning Menu A to D, which was the locally limited Gold Kiwi Jam. The thick-cut bread was soft and delicious. The Gold Kiwi Jam was also very good. I also tried the Heart-shaped Shiro Noir for 670 yen, which was topped with plenty of ruby chocolate and was rich and delicious. It's a collaboration with GODIVA, so it's bound to be delicious. It came with soft serve ice cream and was quite filling. It's great that you can have it during the morning hours. The fact that the morning menu comes free, the generous portions, and the polite and good service from the staff make it a great place.

I stopped by at Komeda before getting on the bullet train. It's been a while since I last visited this Komeda branch, and it was my first time here. The Hakata Station was crowded with people returning home, including myself with a carry-on bag entering the shop. I received a number tag at the entrance ticket machine and was seated after about a 10-minute wait. Due to the reduced seating capacity during the pandemic, there always seemed to be people waiting. I ordered the morning set. Although the Kiwi jam from Saga was tempting, I chose the Nagoya specialty, the "anko" (sweet red bean paste) on bread. The staff spread margarine on the bread, which was served thickly sliced, about 3 pieces thick. The bread was delicious with the margarine soaked in. First, I tried it as it is, and it was crispy and juicy, very tasty. Then, the sweet red bean paste was added on top. The combination of the salty margarine and the sweet paste was perfect and undeniably delicious. This branch had a brighter, more cafe-like atmosphere compared to the suburban branches. My seat even had an outlet, which was a nice surprise. The seating comfort on the sofa was great, and everyone seemed to be relaxing, so I also enjoyed my morning leisurely. There are plenty of menu options, but be careful as many items may be sold out during lunchtime. I'll visit again for sure. Thank you for the meal!

This time, we visited Komeda Coffee Shop located at Hakata Bus Terminal 3F, 2-1 Hakataekichuogai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. We went there for breakfast. When we entered, we were greeted with a pleasant "Good morning!" It was nice to hear such a friendly tone. The interior had a counter, table seats, and sofa seats, with mostly single customers. It seemed like a good place for business meetings or discussions. The menu had a self-order system, which was convenient. We ordered a hot coffee from the self-order system. Breakfast orders are accepted until 11 am. When you order a drink, you can choose a free item from options A to D. We ordered a regular size hot coffee Komeda blend for 530 yen. The free item we chose was option A, which was toast with boiled egg. The coffee had a good balance of bitterness and acidity, and the toast was fluffy inside and crispy outside. It was slightly sweet too. Overall, it was a delicious breakfast. Thank you.

After lunch, I came to Komeda because I wanted to eat azuki shaved ice. I was first shown to my table, and then informed that ordering is self-service. There was a board on the table explaining how to place an order. I ordered the azuki and soft serve shaved ice, which was delicious. The seating and food service were done by the staff, but payment was self-service at the register near the entrance by scanning a barcode on the bill. I wonder if this is how it is in Nagoya, where Komeda originated. Will everyone have to order this way in the future? It's a bit of a hassle. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the store for a meeting. I used to frequent suburban shops often, but lately I haven't been going out much, so I haven't been to Komeda's in about half a year, I think. The location on the 3rd floor of the bus terminal at JR Hakata Station is perfect for passing the time while waiting for someone. I always have the impression that it's crowded, but this time I was able to enter early after waiting for about three people. I was a little tired from walking, so I looked at the menu and found the perfect "Cream Coffee" (630 yen). The base coffee already has sugar, and the soft serve ice cream adds sweetness. It warmed my tired body. Thank you for the meal.

My regular Komeda Coffee shop, the Higashi Station branch, will be closed starting tomorrow, so I decided to have my first Komeda meal of the year at the Bus Terminal branch in the same Hakata district. Happy New Year! Welcome! After being seated, the staff explained the ordering process to me, even though we were both wearing masks. The kind smile of the Komeda Mate staff was still evident. At this Bus Terminal branch, they use a self-service system for ordering and payment, which I found to be quite advanced and futuristic. It seems like this type of system might become more common due to the pandemic. I first scanned the QR code on the table to access the ordering screen, where I selected two items: a drinkable Croquembouche and an edible Croquembouche. I chose these items in honor of the Year of the Ox, as they had a black-and-white theme resembling a cow. After confirming my order, I heard a "ping" sound from the kitchen, indicating that my order was received. Unlike the familiar Higashi Station branch, the modern and open atmosphere of the Bus Terminal branch made me feel a bit out of place as I waited for my order. First, the drinkable Croquembouche arrived. It came in a large glass bottle with a lid, filled with a mixture of soft serve ice cream and crushed Croquembouche. When I opened the lid, a sweet and enticing aroma of vanilla, milk, and cocoa wafted out. I inserted a straw and took a sip - it tasted like a vanilla shake with the cocoa sponge of the Croquembouche adding a unique texture. The Croquembouche to eat was served next, with a warm sponge and a generous amount of soft serve ice cream on top. It was a delightful dessert, with the butter and cocoa flavors blending perfectly. The combination of warm sponge cake and cold ice cream created a satisfying contrast of flavors and temperatures. Despite knowing what to expect, the deliciousness of the desserts made me unable to stop smiling. The innovative concept was paired with a classic and delicious taste, making my first Komeda meal of the year a success. Happy New Year! Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Komeda Coffee Shop Hakata Bus Terminal Store" in the afternoon on a regular day. The location is on the 3rd floor of the Hakata Station bus terminal, which is very convenient as it is close to the station. Each table has an outlet, which was very helpful. I was able to work here for a while. I ordered the Komeda Blend Regular for 530 yen. It was a strong blend coffee with a generous amount even for a regular size. The price was a bit on the higher side. I charged my laptop and phone properly and then headed to Fukuoka Airport. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I had breakfast at Komeda Coffee on a Sunday morning. I was planning to go see a movie in the morning, and I also had some errands to do at Hakata Station, so I ended up at the Komeda Coffee near the bus terminal. My partner had checked in advance and found out that the regular morning set comes with a choice of butter or strawberry jam. However, at the Hakata Bus Terminal store, they have something called "spreadable soy milk," so we decided to try that. It was delicious, especially when paired with the red bean paste.
