Today I tried a bistro that also serves lunch. I stopped by because it was nearby. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and tables, with limited seating. Customers ranged from individuals to groups, mostly people working nearby I think. There were many female customers. The place quickly filled up with customers one after another, showing that it's a popular spot. The lunch menu only has one option, so once you enter the restaurant, you just sit and wait. Water is self-serve. I ordered the "daily lunch" which came with soup, rice, and side dishes. Rice was free for refills. Today's special was lemon pork steak. The weekly menu is displayed for reference. The pork was tender, with a good balance of sweetness from the fat and acidity from the lemon. The meat was cut into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to eat. Considering the quality, having lunch for around 800-900 yen including tax is a good deal. I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I visited the restaurant based on the recommendation of Popo○Poon. I arrived around 11:50 on a weekday and found that there were only 3 seats available at the counter. Soon after, two more people arrived and the place became full, with a line forming by 12:00. It's a popular spot indeed. The lunch menu consists of only one item which is automatically served without the need to order. The waiting time is short and the service is fast, just as advertised. I sat at the counter and within 5-6 minutes, I was served with consomme soup and white rice. The rice portion was more suitable for women, a bit small for a man in his 60s like me. However, I knew from Popo○Poon's review that free refills are available. The main dish was a plate of pork belly and vegetables in a fresh sauce for 800 yen. With such a variety of vegetables and pork belly, it couldn't taste bad. I had a refill of rice and finished my meal. To have a lunch of this quality at a three-digit price point at this location is truly fast, cheap, and delicious. The main menu rotates between chicken, pork, beef, fish, and pork each week. I have found a great place where I can dine daily. Looking forward to coming back again.

This is a restaurant that operates as a bar at night and serves lunch for office workers during the day. I tried their weekday lunch menu, which changes daily. I visited Bistro Ichi Style in Tenjin Building a while ago. It is located at the back of the underground dining floor, so it is a cozy and open space where you can relax. This restaurant is recommended for enjoying wine paired with delicious a la carte dishes. They open from 3pm, making it a great place for daytime drinking. The quiche is filled with plenty of vegetables and is a delicious dish. The Pate de Campagne is tasty and generous in portion. I also tried the steak which was very tender and delicious. They offer a half portion for solo diners, which is great. I also had the Chile con Carne Tacos, which were delicious as always. Lastly, I tried the daily recommended pasta with plenty of seafood in tomato sauce, which was very tasty. The warm atmosphere and delicious food made my experience enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again.

It's raining. (◎_◎;) To avoid getting wet, I headed to the underground shopping area. I visited "Ichi Style" for lunch, a place I had been to before at night. I was curious about their affordable lunch menu. It was 11:30 when I arrived. Next to the restaurant, there was a board with the daily lunch menu. The only option for that day was "Grass-fed Beef Sirloin Steak (900 yen, tax included)" with rice and soup. I was the first customer, so I was seated at a table for two. The steak arrived after about 10 minutes, perfectly cooked with a slight pink color in the center. It looked very appetizing. I used chopsticks to eat it. The meat was tender and easy to eat in one bite. There were no tough parts. I tried it with the Japanese-style onion sauce served on the side, but the meat was delicious even with just salt. The side dishes on the same plate were also good. The carrot salad had a curry flavor, and the pickled onions had a nice touch. I had a rice refill, as it was allowed. It was a satisfying lunch. More customers started arriving as I was eating, and by noon, the restaurant was almost full. There was even a small line when I left. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Bistro Ichistyle in Tenjin Building a while ago. It is affiliated with Robata Ichi in Daimyo and Torio in Yakuin. Located directly connected to the Tenjin underground shopping area, it is very convenient. The restaurant is tucked away in the back of the dining floor, providing a spacious and relaxing space to enjoy your meal and wine. The interior features counter seats surrounding an open kitchen, as well as regular table seating. I enjoyed the recommended wines of the day, paired with delicious dishes. The chicken liver pate was excellent, and I couldn't resist getting more bread. The chili con carne tacos were also very tasty and highly recommended. All the dishes paired well with the orange wine. The warm atmosphere and attentive service of the staff made it a very pleasant dining experience. Whether dining alone at the counter or enjoying a daytime drink on weekends, this restaurant is recommended for various occasions. I look forward to visiting again soon.

I visited this restaurant three times for lunch, but today was my first time coming for dinner. I am dining alone. It's Monday, but there were a decent amount of customers. I had a platter of 4 appetizers and scallop carpaccio for starters. For the main course, I had half of grilled grass-fed beef fillet. I paired them with Cremant de Jura Chardonnay. I also had red wine from Rhone Grenache and Syrah. Both wines were rich and delicious. The dishes were well-seasoned with gentle flavors. The grill was perfectly cooked. It's nice to be able to enjoy delicious wine and food in a casual setting. Lunch here is also good.

Yesterday, it rained. To avoid the rain, I headed to the Tenjin Underground Shopping Arcade. While passing through the B1F of Tenjin Building, I found an interesting information board. It said, "Itojima oysters in stock!! Ebisu oysters (750 yen, tax included)". It caught my attention, so I decided to visit the next day. I visited "Bistro Ichi Style". The restaurant had a counter and two tables. It was located in a corner of the floor in an open style. It was 18:50 and there were two groups of solo customers already there. I was also dining alone and was seated at a table. I ordered the Ebisu oysters, which were the specialty of the restaurant. Although the restaurant seemed to focus on wine, I decided to pair the oysters with Japanese sake. I chose "Toyo Bijin (glass 600 yen)". The cold sake was served before the oysters arrived. It had a fruity aroma and a rich flavor. Then, the main dish arrived. Four small oysters were served on a large plate filled with ice. The presentation was elegant and the oysters were carefully arranged. I was provided with a knife and fork, but when I asked for chopsticks, they were quickly provided. I enjoyed the oysters with olive oil, salt, and lemon juice. The oysters had a smooth texture and a strong umami flavor. Since I had other plans for dinner, I finished my meal there. They also offer a daily lunch menu, so I would like to visit again for lunch if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch has started at #Bistro Ichi Style {Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City} I went to Bistro Ichi Style on July 19, 2022 (Tuesday). This place is located on the north side of the basement floor of Tenjin Building. The restaurant, which used to only be open at night, has now started serving lunch. The lunch menu consists of just one daily special dish. So when you enter, the daily special lunch automatically comes out. I tried the daily special lunch priced at 800 yen (tax included). I was surprised by the small portion of rice, but thankfully, refills are free. The daily special on that day was Ginger Chicken, served with potatoes, carrots, beans, and broccoli. There was quite a generous amount of meat. The seasoning was good and it was delicious. I had three refills of rice and left feeling full. Tenjin Building B1F, 2-12-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on Sundays, lunch is available on weekdays only.

Just before the expiration date... I visited "Bistro Ichi Style" at B1F of Tenjin Building on the Showa-dori side. I had completely forgotten about the expiration date of the prepaid card I made when I visited two months ago~ So, I hurriedly visited the restaurant... Here, when you make a card, you can get a glass of Viognier wine at almost half price. It's nice to be able to enjoy Champagne in a glass too... 2200 yen → 1100 yen for Viognier, 1100 yen → 550 yen for Burgundy Pinot Noir with a glamorous aroma~ Last time I visited, they served bread as a complimentary starter, but this time they asked if I needed it, so I said "no". Maybe because it was my second visit? But it's convenient for a casual drink. Around 3 pm on a Sunday, I was already full and didn't plan on eating much. As I was walking through the underground shopping area, I started feeling thirsty. I was thinking about having a cold beer when I stumbled upon a nice restaurant in the basement of Tenjin Building. Inside, I was greeted by two young staff members and was seated at a table in the back. Since I wanted beer, dishes started from around 700 yen. They also had steak on the menu. Despite being full, I chose my favorite gratin. They brought me bread - walnut and raisin bread - to eat with olive oil. Very stylish. And the beer was served in Le Creuset tableware. The shrimp gratin arrived, also in Le Creuset. The white sauce was just right, not too thick or thin, very elegant. Inside were shrimp, mushrooms, onions, and macaroni - very hearty. I thought it would go well with a slightly acidic wine. I savored every bite of the sauce melting in my mouth. This place seems like a good value for enjoying various dishes, especially if you go as a pair.

Delicious wine in a glass. Located in Tenjin, "Bistro Ichi Style" on the northern side of Tenjin Building B1F. The wine list is surprisingly extensive for a place of this size, with a variety of wine glasses available. They offer a prepaid card for half-price wine, which I couldn't resist. I started with a Crémant Chardonnay, followed by a Muscat. The food included bread with olive oil and a chicken liver pâté with baguette. Overall, it turned into a carb fest for me. The Muscat was fruity and enjoyable.

On this day, I didn't have time to eat lunch and by 3 pm, I was feeling hungry. I decided to go to Tenjin Building to grab a light snack. I came across a new restaurant in the hallway, which used to be a ramen or tantanmen shop before. It was just after 3 pm and the restaurant had just opened (operating hours are from 3 pm to 11 pm), so I decided to check out the menu. The staff informed me that they had a special offer on drinks as they had just opened on December 6th. I'm a sucker for deals, so I decided to have a drink. They didn't have a set menu for drinks and snacks, so I ordered them separately. I had a glass of Champagne (440 yen: usually 880 yen) which was light and easy to drink. They also served bread as a snack, which I found interesting. I asked about the price at the end and it was 330 yen. I also ordered a small appetizer platter (990 yen) with "white liver pate," "quiche," "sand liver confit," and "vegetable pickles." I requested to have the "white liver" included in the platter. The white liver pate was smooth and delicious, but I didn't really like the bread that came with it. The quiche was tasty with a good pastry texture. The sand liver confit was soft and easy to eat, even though I'm not a fan of sand liver. The vegetable pickles were also good. The drink menu had some items in red which were available at a special price for that day. Overall, the location is convenient for after-work gatherings, and the menu offers half-size dishes which are suitable for both groups and solo diners. If they had a happy hour set from 3 pm to around 5 pm, it would be even more convenient. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
