Had a casual drink here for the first time on the terrace. Couldn't decide between inside or outside, but chose the terrace. It's best to check the temperature before sitting down because you can't move once you do. It's nice to relax by the river and watch the boats go by, feels like a little vacation. The edamame with garlic and chili pepper was lightly seasoned, maybe mixed in later? The garlic shrimp was hot and delicious. The staff picked a perfect glass of wine for me based on my preferences, which made me happy. Thank you for the lovely meal! ♡

If you go to Kitahama, you have to go along the river. I wanted to sit on the terrace, but it was too hot so I gave up. You can still see the riverside view from inside the restaurant, but the glass has wire mesh which makes it a little hard to see. Maybe it's for safety. There were customers on the terrace, so I think the view would be better and more enjoyable there. The interior of the restaurant feels a bit cramped, making it difficult to have a conversation. The complimentary snack was dried persimmon seeds. It seemed like the staff was working alone and it was a bit tough, but the cold pasta was delicious and very refreshing. Other details can be seen in the photos. The restaurant is called a bistro, but inside they were selling handmade candles and displaying items that you might find in a local diner, giving it a slightly mysterious atmosphere. Surprisingly, they don't accept credit cards, only cash. There is a convenience store across the street where I went to withdraw cash to pay. It seems they have the same policy for everyone. It can be tough not carrying cash around these days. It might be challenging for a business district to not accept cashless payments.

Today's Dashuran was a challenge as I ventured beyond Kitahama. It was tough to find lunch in an unfamiliar area. The place I was heading to unexpectedly closed for the day. Luckily, I stumbled upon this place. They offer a lunch special only on Tuesdays and Thursdays! I had the sausage and chicken mince with vegetable pasta for 1100 yen. The view from the terrace was very soothing. Thank you for the meal! (•́✧•̀)

On a Sunday afternoon, we happened to enter a restaurant without a line and luckily found a table on the terrace facing the river. Along with our drinks, we were served bottled persimmon seeds. We ordered shrimp tomato cream pasta and Margherita pizza to share with my daughter. Both dishes were delicious. The weather was nice, and we leisurely watched passing sightseeing boats while waving our hands. Please note that cash payment is required.

On Wednesday at 12:00, I went to Bistro Bar Makoto in Kitahama. The owner runs both the dining area and the kitchen alone. I ordered the "Today's Lunch (950 yen)" which came with salad, baguette, and pasta. The pasta of the day was raw pasta with oil sauce, featuring yellowfin tuna, shimeji mushrooms, vegetables, and baby sardines. For an additional 200 yen, you can add oolong tea, orange juice, coffee, or black tea, but I chose not to. The pasta arrived 15 minutes later. I took a bite and it was delicious. The flat raw pasta had a nice chewiness to it. The combination of tuna, eggplant, shimeji mushrooms, vegetables, and baby sardines created a perfect balance of flavors. The oil sauce harmonized everything beautifully. The rosemary on top added a nice fragrance that enveloped the pasta. In addition to indoor seating, there are about 14 seats on the terrace. This area is popular as you can enjoy your meal while looking out at the Okawa River and Nakanoshima. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I heard that you can enjoy pasta on a pleasant terrace along the river at Bistro Bar Mako in Kitahama. The weekday lunch special includes a salad and baguette with fresh pasta for 950 yen. The restaurant is located along Tosabori Street, marked by the Italian flag and a lunch sign outside. Lunch starts at 12:00, but on this day they opened about 10 minutes late. You can choose to dine indoors or on the terrace. The terrace offers a great view of the Dojima River and the blue sky, with a clear view of the rose garden in Nakanoshima Park. Lunch is served on weekdays and weekends from 12:00 until sold out (please check the latest information from the restaurant for current operating hours). The weekday lunch features a daily special for 950 yen. On this day, it was "Seafood and Vegetable Tomato Sauce Fresh Pasta" with salad and baguette. The weekend lunch offers an à la carte menu. We started with the salad. The salad included lettuce, watercress, corn, cucumber, small roast beef, and tofu, topped with a flavorful dressing. The pasta and baguette arrived shortly after. The seafood and vegetable tomato sauce fresh pasta had large chunks of ingredients. The pasta had a chewy texture, and the sauce was light with a good balance of flavors. The seafood included clams and scallops, while the vegetables were onions, eggplant, broccoli, and more. The pasta dish showcased the sweetness of the vegetables. The baguette was warm and crispy, perfect for dipping in the pasta sauce. Overall, the food was more on the creative side rather than traditional Italian, but the terrace seating with a river view was delightful. The relaxed atmosphere and the pleasant outdoor dining experience make it a recommended spot for a leisurely meal. Thank you for the meal.

-Roti of Magret duck breast -Tataki of Miyazaki A5 Wagyu beef thigh meat -Today's fresh fish carpaccio -Parma ham and today's fruits -Unlimited consumption of persimmon seeds Located along the river in Kitahama, this Italian bar offers a lovely atmosphere with terrace seating. One thing that made me happy was the unlimited consumption of persimmon seeds, with a big can placed on the table. I usually enjoy snacking on persimmon seeds with alcohol at home, so having this available kept me entertained for hours. The Magret duck, which was fed a diet rich in nutrients to produce foie gras, had just the right amount of fat, balancing the meat's flavor perfectly. The accompanying ratatouille was so delicious that I ended up ordering an extra serving. The Tataki of Wagyu beef thigh meat also had a perfect amount of marbling, and paired excellently with wasabi soy sauce. There were also unique pasta dishes like lemon pepperoncino and lemon cream pasta, but I was too full to try them. Overall, the atmosphere was great, the prices were reasonable, and I would definitely like to come back, especially to try the terrace seating when it gets warmer.

It's been a while since I had lunch in Kitahama, so I decided to have white wine in the afternoon. The view is really nice, and they have a great selection of affordable bottled wines, so you can relax and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. They even served me a bottle of Kakinotane as a complimentary snack. I personally think that Kakinotane and wine go well together. I ordered a fresh fish carpaccio and shrimp with tomato sauce pasta. The carpaccio had salmon, tuna, and sea bream, all very fresh and flavorful. It went well with the white wine. The tuna had breadcrumbs on top for an interesting texture. The pasta had large shrimp that were juicy and a tomato sauce that was refreshing yet creamy. The fresh pasta was chewy and delicious. As I enjoyed my wine, I noticed that the owner had gone to Okinawa and brought back some Habushu and other drinks. As the sun set, I relaxed on the terrace, overlooking the river, savoring the Kakinotane and drinks. It was a luxurious way to spend time at this place.

I dropped by for lunch. The indoor area was not very cool, so I sat on the terrace. It was still quite hot, even with the wind blowing. The Gorgonzola cheese pizza and garlic toast were delicious. However, there was a cover charge for lunch, and it was a set menu with a drink included, so I was surprised that the bill came to 4900 yen for two people, which was more like dinner prices.

First meal out after the declaration was lifted, and it was here. - The terrace seating was great, with menus that were easy to read and dishes that were visible. - They accepted our birthday plate request! - They have a pretty good selection of drinks, including 3-4 types of glass wines. - The pizza was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It had been a while since I visited the Kitahama Terrace, and I had made a reservation for this restaurant's terrace seats. Although the weather forecast predicted sunshine on the day of my visit, we were suddenly hit by a sudden downpour, and we ended up sitting inside instead of on the terrace. It seems my rain man power is truly fearsome... The interior of the restaurant had a counter and about three table seats, and the terrace seats were also fewer than I expected, making it a cozy little place. I started off with a draft beer. The complimentary snack was a big bottle of Kakinotane (spicy rice crackers). It was quite a generous portion! I ordered a platter of Parma ham and smoked assorted meats. The Parma ham had just the right amount of fat and saltiness. The smoked assorted meats included quail eggs, duck, cheese, and greens. I wished there was a bit more smoky flavor. Overall, the prices felt a bit high for the portion sizes. For my second drink, I had a Chardonnay white wine. I also ordered shrimp and broccoli ajillo and meat sauce pasta. The ajillo came with bread, and I could adjust the oil to my liking. I enjoyed adding extra bread to soak up the delicious oil! For my third drink, I had sangria. I tried to pace myself as my companion was drinking slowly. The meat sauce pasta was decent but nothing particularly noteworthy. It was truly disappointing that I couldn't enjoy my drinks on the terrace, but I had a great time savoring the delicious Italian dishes!

A cozy Italian salad with about 17 toppings, each colorful and cute, by a window overlooking a rose garden along the river. The pasta for lunch was freshly made with a strong scent of sardines. I would like to come back next time to enjoy some wine.

The scenery is beautiful and pleasant. I haven't eaten much so I'm not sure about the taste, but I would say it's average or slightly above. The portion size is a bit small.
