The yakiniku was delicious, no doubt about it. It was tender and flavorful, showcasing the deliciousness of beef. Perhaps I had set my expectations too high with the name Matsusaka beef, or maybe I had never really eaten Matsusaka beef before, so I didn't have that "This is Matsusaka beef!" moment. If I had eaten it without knowing it was Matsusaka beef, I probably would have thought it was incredibly delicious! The yakiniku was undeniably tasty, but I may have built up too much anticipation in my mind before going. Nevertheless, it was delicious!

I ordered the Matsusaka beef lunch. The beautifully marbled meat was just right. However, for 2500 yen, the portion size was a bit small. It might not be enough for men, but as a woman, I found it just right since I could have unlimited rice, soup, and kimchi.

Having lunch in Minami. I didn't have anything specific in mind, so I decided to try a place that promotes Matsusaka beef. It's in a good location, but being on the second floor makes it a bit hard to find. I've passed by this place often, but this was the first time I actually recognized the restaurant - it's called "Matsusaka Beef Yakiniku M Hozoji Yokocho Store." The lunch menu ranges from 1280 yen for yakiniku set to 2500 yen for Matsusaka beef yakiniku. I went with the most popular option, the M Kalbi set for 1980 yen. I also ordered a large draft beer and a glass of water. They brought kimchi as a starter, but the water took a while to arrive. After a toast, they served the meat appetizer, which was quite tasty. However, it took about 25 minutes for the main meat dish to arrive, which seemed a bit too long for a lunchtime yakiniku. The place was not crowded, and I noticed only three elderly male staff members, probably due to the current COVID situation. Despite the wait, the meat tasted decent, although I don't think it was top-grade Matsusaka beef. Overall, the 1980 yen lunch set was satisfactory. The total bill came to 2816 yen. If the service had been better, I would have rated it higher.

The meat was so tender and delicious! We ordered the premium course and enjoyed juicy marbled meat with various dipping sauces like salt, wasabi, soy sauce, and tare. The Matsusaka beef melted in my mouth with its sweet flavor. Even though I usually don't like oily meat, I finished every bite. For rice, we could choose from garlic rice, kupa, kalbi don, or regular rice. For dessert, we chose between sherbet, shochu pudding, and black honey warabi mochi. I went for kupa and shochu pudding. The kupa was light and easy to eat even when full, while the shochu pudding was surprisingly delicious. It was a milk pudding topped with sweet shochu syrup that was so addictive. Most customers seemed to be from overseas, as I saw on TripAdvisor.

The taste is average for the price, but the Japanese staff members provided excellent service and my friend enjoyed it, so it was good! However, it was unfortunate that most of the other staff members were foreigners and couldn't communicate in English or Japanese.

I made a reservation with a friend at a luxurious restaurant. We ordered a course meal starting with Negi Shio Tan (green onion salted tongue). A square iron plate was placed on the grill, with a generous amount of green onions scattered on top to prevent the grill from getting dirty. The meat was cooked quickly and tasted delicious. Next, a plate of beautifully arranged meat was brought to us with instructions on how to cook it. The meat was flavorful and not too fatty, reminiscent of Matsusaka beef. I would love to visit this restaurant again on another occasion.

Located near the bustling district of Hozenji Yokocho in Minami, Osaka. This area, close to Dotonbori, has recently been crowded with foreign tourists, but thanks to the new regulations, the nuisance of touts has decreased significantly. While not exactly a classy area, visitors need not worry about safety even if they come from afar. However, since this restaurant is tucked away in a back alley, a map may be necessary to find it. Despite expecting formal service based on the high ratings and prices, the staff was surprisingly friendly and relaxed from reservation to payment. With three men dining, the total bill was around 25,000 yen, which considering the variety and quality of the meat, was not expensive at all and left us very satisfied. It may not be a place you can visit often. The restaurant itself is not extravagant, and the private room we were seated in was not particularly spacious, so it's more about enjoying the delicious meat rather than the ambiance. This was the first time I took a photo of raw meat served. When asked about the origin of the name "M," the staff explained that it stands for Matsusaka beef. Overall, it was a pretty ordinary experience.

Met up with a friend in Namba and decided to have lunch together before wandering around. Since we had visited a restaurant in the detached building last time, this time we went to a restaurant in the Hozenji Yokocho area. We ordered the "Matsusaka Beef Special Sirloin Set" (2500 yen) and the "Otoro Kalbi" (2000 yen). The lunch set came with cabbage, kimchi (domestic), rice, and soup. You could also have unlimited rice refills. The meat was so tender and delicious, definitely worth the slightly higher price. The restaurant was a bit small but the semi-private booths (separated by curtains) were cozy. When it comes to yakiniku lunch, "Matsusaka Beef Yakiniku M Hozenji Yokocho" is one of my top choices. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

Today, a friend took me to Matsusaka beef yakiniku restaurant M as a celebration for their marriage. I don't usually go to yakiniku restaurants, so I didn't have much knowledge about it, but to put it simply, it was amazing! The meat was incredibly delicious! My friend used to work at this restaurant, so we were even shown some off-menu items (I forgot to take photos because it was so good). It was a fantastic experience! I haven't had such delicious meat in a while, so I definitely want to come back to this place for special occasions in the future!

It wasn't a purely business-related dinner, but more of a hospitality gesture from the other party, who chose our restaurant. The deciding factors were that it had private rooms and served Matsusaka beef. The latter was chosen with a somewhat casual reasoning that "Ribot might be picky about food, but wouldn't he appreciate it if it's Matsusaka beef?" Upon arrival, it turned out that the "private room" was actually a semi-private room separated by a curtain-like divider from the neighboring table. While this was not what was expected, it wasn't a big issue for me as I didn't necessarily require a fully private room. As for the Matsusaka beef, although the menu highlighted it, the restaurant also offered other types of domestic beef. I decided to stick with ordering only Matsusaka beef. Even though it might have seemed like I should have ordered some Matsusaka beef, when told that I didn't have to pay, I felt more inclined to decline the offer. In the end, we enjoyed decent quality meat at a slightly higher price, making it a place where "you get what you pay for." The service was polite, although lacking in sophistication, but their efforts were visible. Since the other party covered the bill, I couldn't take many photos. We headed for ramen afterwards, so I couldn't even capture the exterior. I did manage to sneakily bring back a pair of chopstick sleeves as proof of my visit. Just to clarify, even though it was referred to as a hospitality dinner, I ended up paying almost the same amount, so it was essentially out of my own pocket.

I went to MATSUZAKA in the Hozoji Yokocho in Namba. The location is above Daruma. I heard that you can enjoy Matsuzaka beef yakiniku at this restaurant, so my expectations were high. The style is to take off your shoes and relax. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a luxurious bar, which would appeal to women. The Harami, Mino, and assorted platter for two cost 3500 yen and were definitely delicious. The meat had good marbling, and I savored the Matsuzaka beef that I hadn't had in a while. The beer went well with it. However, for the price, the portion size was a bit small. It was nice that the staff frequently checked on us.

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim. Matsusaka beef. It's high-class. I was guided to the 2nd floor by the elevator and found a monochrome yakiniku restaurant with a black theme. They also serve Wagyu beef besides Matsusaka beef. I ordered the Matsusaka beef set and was surprised to see the beautifully arranged meat with names attached. It looked delicious. I grilled it right away. It was so tasty that it disappeared from my mouth quickly. It's delicious, but it feels like a waste to eat it as yakiniku. I thought Matsusaka beef should be enjoyed as a steak. The meat portion was elegant, so it disappeared quickly... I filled my stomach with stone bibimbap. I also ordered the Wagyu beef belly meat. It felt more like eating yakiniku. It was tender with a nice chewiness and tasted delicious. I was impressed by the deliciousness of Matsusaka beef for the first time. The service was friendly and good.

I was taken here for my birthday. I heard it was a high-class restaurant, so I was very nervous... The interior, mainly in black, had an adult atmosphere which made me even more nervous... We toasted with wine ☆ The ordered meat dishes were brought one after another. The thick-cut Toro Tantan was incredibly thick and tender!! I was impressed by the texture I had never experienced before (T^T) The misuji and ichibo were amazing, and the marbling was incredible!! When I lightly grilled and tasted it, the meat melted in my mouth. The Kainomi Chateaubriand Chateaubriand!! That Chateaubriand!! Can I really eat something like this? I thought as I took a bite... It... It's delicious!! I worried that indulging in such luxury might bring me bad luck, but I enjoyed the luxurious meat dishes ☆ Thank you for the meal ☆

On Sunday, I went with my family to a yakiniku restaurant located in the middle of Hozonji Yokocho. The restaurant had a modern design and an atmosphere that seemed to promise a sophisticated yakiniku experience. We were seated in a semi-private area on the second floor. We originally planned to order a lunch set, but ended up choosing various items from the regular menu after looking at the photos. We ordered the Early Bird Set for two until 6 pm, which included four types of Matsusaka beef, two types of horumon, and three types of grilled vegetables for 980 yen. We also ordered lean meat sashimi for 900 yen, seared sushi for 1160 yen, a sirloin steak for 3800 yen, as well as kimchi, namul, soup, and more. The menu book included certificates with the names of the producers and cows for the beef. The taste of the meat was quite delicious, although they didn't handle award-winning meats to ensure stable supply, so it wasn't top-grade. There were two types of yakiniku sauce, both with a refreshing taste, but a bit lacking in depth. However, it might be suitable for higher-quality meat with a rich flavor. The sirloin was delicious when seasoned with salt and cooked to medium-rare. The young staff members were all friendly and provided good service. Overall, I was satisfied with the atmosphere, presentation, and attention to detail.

When I walked into the restaurant, I took a few steps and found myself in a private room. It's a really small place with only private rooms and a narrow hallway. Going to the restroom on the second floor requires climbing steep stairs, so it's more suitable for small groups to relax rather than for a lively gathering. I ordered the 3600 yen trial course. There was a copy of a certificate showing that they bought a whole Matsusaka beef on the table. While I didn't particularly appreciate such things, it was interesting to read various information written on it. The appetizer assortment included a tender meat similar to yukhoe and ripe tomatoes, which were delicious. The next dish was tongue grilled on a hot stone. What was interesting was that each type of meat, like "kalbi" or "maebara," had a label so you knew which part you were eating. However, in terms of taste, it wasn't like "Wow, Matsusaka beef is amazing!"... It was more like, "Hmm, is this normal? Is Matsusaka beef like this?" I started to wonder if it was because of my poor grilling skills. But when I grilled Kobe beef at home, even if I made a mistake, I thought, "Oh, it's still delicious!" So, I wondered if it was my fault for not paying attention to the grilling. The three types of sauces to choose from were nice, and being able to grate wasabi myself was a good touch (although they charged an extra 100 yen for the wasabi). The mint ice cream for dessert was quite good.

On a Sunday afternoon around 1 o'clock, I happened to pass by Hozonji Yokocho and saw a sign for Matsusaka beef tataki bowl for 780 yen, so I decided to go in. The restaurant seemed quite high-end, so I was quite nervous. I climbed a narrow staircase and was led to a private room on the second floor. Since the menu did not have the word "lunch" on it, I asked the staff and was told that there was no special lunch menu, and the bowl dishes were listed under the regular menu items. I ordered the Matsusaka beef tataki bowl and yuzu sherbet and mascarpone cheesecake. Tea was served after I placed my order. The bowl came with a small serving of komatsuna kimchi. The taste was amazing, with thick slices of tataki that had a charcoal-grilled aroma. We ate in silence and finished it all. The meat was delicious, but personally, I didn't quite like the mayonnaise-like sauce under the seaweed. After a while, dessert was served along with a new tea and a hot towel. The dessert was incredibly delicious, and I felt like coming back just for the dessert and drinks. The slightly warm cheesecake, the daily special large scoop of ice cream, and the yuzu sherbet with real fruit inside were delightful. It was surprising to find such delicious desserts at a yakiniku restaurant. The staff's service was very polite, and I definitely want to visit again. If you feel like the bowl alone is not enough, I recommend ordering dessert.

Matsusaka beef yakiniku at Minami Hozoji store Wandering around Hozoji... the entrance is hard to find... the interior feels cramped. The seat we were led to had ikebana flowers nearby, giving a nice atmosphere. We ordered a recommended dish... when the meat came out, I thought it might be a bit small... but the meat was exceptional! This place is different from your usual yakiniku spot where you just eat a lot. A "cook your own meat" restaurant... definitely worth a visit! But the price is a bit high. Note that the quality of the meat may vary depending on the day.
