I decided on the Negi Rayu Rosukatsu Don for lunch after seeing the banner. The combination of white negi on top of the katsu and green negi on the rice is irresistible for negi lovers. Although there is bonito flakes on top of the rice, the flavor of the bonito flakes is too strong, which unfortunately overshadows the negi rayu flavor. The rosukatsu is coated with soy sauce dressing and remains crispy, pairing well with the negi rayu and tasting delicious. Katsuya introduced a limited edition dish called Demi Cheese Hamburg Curry, limited to 6,000 servings (until ingredients run out). The reviewer, who is weak to the keyword "limited edition," decided to try it out before the ingredients ran out. Despite the restaurant being crowded during Golden Week, only a few people were seen ordering the Demi Cheese Hamburg Curry. The reviewer ordered the dish along with canned beer and fried squid as a side. The dish arrived, and the Demi Cheese Hamburg was described as juicy and tender, with a thick patty. The cheese topping and curry sauce complemented each other well, but the flavors were a bit overpowering for the reviewer, who found it a bit intense. The addition of cabbage on the side helped balance out the strong flavors. Overall, the reviewer enjoyed the dish but prefers a more traditional curry dish over this one.

The adult lunch at Katsuya, which was well received in the neighborhood! It was a limited time offer until the end of the month, so I just made it in time to try it! The adult lunch - simple is best, tickling the hearts of adults with its name! It includes everyone's favorite omurice with shrimp fry, chicken cutlet with tartar sauce, and a topping of red wiener... I added a bit of luxury with a menchi katsu and crab cream croquette topping... (I briefly thought about the high calorie intake, but oh well, haha) I haven't had fried food in a while, but surprisingly I finished it smoothly without feeling too full. I added menchi katsu and crab cream croquette to the adult lunch, and when I used a 100 yen discount coupon, I got change back from a 1,000 yen bill! It was a quite satisfying and filling adult lunch...

I occasionally use it, but it's been a while since my last post. Lately, I call ahead and pick it up. I can receive it without waiting. The price is cheap, and I always get a discount coupon for 100 yen off! When I'm tired, I'll definitely use it!

Katsudon (plum) with shredded cabbage. Delicious katsudon as always, with plenty of cabbage. I enjoyed it for a great deal at 600 yen.

I went to a newly opened restaurant in the neighborhood to eat. I initially thought it was a tonkatsu restaurant where you could have unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage, but it turned out to be more like a fast food place with the setup of a gyudon restaurant. I ordered a set meal with shrimp fry and pork cutlet. The speed of service was quite fast, which was good, but I still think it's better to go to a specialty tonkatsu restaurant when I want to eat tonkatsu. There was no all-you-can-eat option.

It was delicious.

I wasn't expecting much from the tonkatsu, but it turned out to be really good! The tonkatsu at CoCo Ichi, which is hand-breaded, is delicious! The rice is not very tasty. The miso soup is okay. The staff smells strongly of perfume or makeup, which can be off-putting and decrease your appetite.

Freshness is important, right? (^^)

I felt like eating katsudon, so I went to a katsudon restaurant called Katsuya along Hankai 26 Line near my house that is open until 1 am. Katsuya is probably my favorite tonkatsu chain. I ordered the Katsudon (Matsu) for 915 yen, which came with two pieces of tonkatsu and was very filling. Eating katsudon late at night is the best! I really love katsudon, it's so delicious! The complimentary pickles are a nice touch and taste great. Overall, it was really delicious! If you ever feel like devouring some katsudon, definitely check out this restaurant!!! Every day on the road I pass by, there was construction going on in the parking lot of Izumiya. I was curious about what they were building, but it turned out to be a Katsuya restaurant! It opened recently and has been quite busy ever since. Today, I finally visited for the first time and got some takeout. The Katsu donburi was only 529 yen and the katsu was huge and delicious. The Stamina Karaage donburi was also great, with large pieces of karaage that were tasty and filling for 637 yen. Even though I visited around 4 pm, there were many customers getting takeout. We will definitely be coming back to this place. While we only visited the tonkatsu restaurant across the street once, we will likely be frequenting this place more often.

The layout inside the store is similar to a beef bowl restaurant, making it easy for solo diners to come in and eat. In addition to bento boxes, they also offer a variety of fried foods such as tonkatsu, croquettes, and fried chicken for takeout. It can be convenient when you don't feel like frying at home. I had the Roast Menchi Katsu set meal (853 yen). It comes with rice, miso soup, tonkatsu, menchi katsu, and a generous amount of cabbage. The tonkatsu tasted average, not particularly delicious but not bad either. The menchi katsu tasted similar to the ones you can find in the supermarket's deli section. It's a decent option for a quick and light katsu bowl, but if you want a more substantial tonkatsu set meal, you might want to try another restaurant.

I visited the Katsuya Osaka Izumisano store. This is the second time I have visited a national chain restaurant specializing in katsudon since the Katsusato Kasugai store. I ordered the katsudon (plum) for 529 yen including tax. It arrived in just 5 minutes (^^♪ Fast! The price is low, so the appearance and taste are average. I have only visited one store out of the many "Katsusato" and "Katsuya" locations nationwide, so this is just a comment based on this particular store (¯―¯٥) There may be regional differences as well ^^; I received a 100 yen discount coupon at the checkout, so the next time I order the katsudon (plum), it will be 429 yen. Located in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture, "Katsuya Izumisano Store" can be found along National Route 26, on the north side of Izumiya Izumisano Store. There is parking available and the restaurant is non-smoking. Katsuya had previously opened stores in Izumiotsu and Iwade, Wakayama Prefecture, and now they have expanded to Izumisano. I tried the summer special "Stamina Mayo Chicken Karaage Set" priced at 745 yen (tax included). The garlic chips, garlic soy sauce, chopped green onions, and mayonnaise were a perfect combination. The meal was satisfying, and the set also included a small serving of miso soup. Looking forward to trying their seasonal menu next time.

A new branch of the chain restaurant "Katsuya" has opened across from the all-you-can-eat tonkatsu restaurant "Kinkatsu". The tonkatsu at Katsuya is good, well-prepared and tender, and it is cheaper than Kinkatsu. However, the portion size is smaller, so if you want a larger meal, you may need to opt for the extra-large or additional options, which can make it more expensive than Kinkatsu. Residents in the area may find it convenient to choose Katsuya for a normal meal and Kinkatsu for a heartier meal. Overall, the taste of both restaurants is quite similar.

I went to the Katsuya Osaka Izumisano branch. It is located along Route 26, so it is easy to access. I went during lunchtime and it was crowded. I saw a sign for the limited-time "Chicken Katsu Curry Udon" for 590 yen (including tax) and decided to order it. To be honest, I had a bad experience with udon at Katsuya before, so my expectations were low this time. When it arrived, it looked nice. The taste was... The udon had a good texture and was delicious. It made me want to eat it again.
