I had been curious about this restaurant in Takamiya area when I had errands there before. I entered a little before 12 o'clock on Saturday. The restaurant had tables and a counter, and it was a bit small. I bought a meal ticket and handed it to the proprietress. The daily special that day was sweet and sour pork for 720 yen. While waiting, more and more customers came in, regardless of gender or age. Inside the restaurant, there was a sign for a "Vegetarian Menu." The owner used to work at a hotel in Henan Province, Fukuten in Arato, and then opened this restaurant. When the sweet and sour pork arrived, I went to pick it up. Lunch was partly self-service. You could help yourself to white rice and the special soup. The soup had a nice aroma and was very delicious. It didn't taste like typical Chinese food, it had a slightly Western style. The sweet and sour pork had a crispy surface, and even with the sauce, it still had a fragrant taste. The inside was tender and very delicious sweet and sour pork. It's located right outside the north exit of Takamiya Station. I regret not exploring Takamiya more.

At lunchtime. Just a 0.5-minute walk from Takamiya Station, there is a ticket machine offering a daily mapo tofu set meal for 780 yen. You can help yourself to rice, soup, and pickles. You can even get a second serving of rice if you'd like. The authentic mapo tofu is amazing! The numbing sensation from the Sichuan pepper kicks in later. The shredded potato side dish is also quite delicious. Great value for money. Checked out other menu items and they all look tempting. Had a great meal!

I tried the dan dan noodles at Komaian Restaurant because my wife loves beef noodles. However, there was too much lettuce, bean sprouts, and wood ear mushrooms, making the dish taste bland. I should have stuck with the beef noodles after all.

The homemade hand-cut flat noodles at this place were similar to a gentle version of comtan soup. They provide salt, red pepper, and chili oil as condiments, and I added a little extra salt for flavor. The crispy outside and juicy inside of the oil-splashed chicken were perfect! It was satisfyingly generous in portion size. The sweet and sour pork was also tasty and substantial. The spring rolls were cut into four pieces, which seemed like a slightly larger portion compared to other places. Overall, all the dishes were delicious and had a satisfying portion size.

A bowl of mapo tofu. Headed to "Takamiya Restaurant" on the east side of Nishitetsu Takamiya Station. The Chinese restaurant "Takamiya Restaurant" is located on the corner, with a sign and photos of dishes outside, although some prices are missing, making it a bit hard to understand. The interior of the restaurant has a clean feeling. Bought a meal ticket from the ticket machine. Got a bottle of beer which came with some beans. However, it's a bit salty, so I'll go easy on it. The mapo tofu was 880 yen. It was a bit too much for one person... it would be nice if they had a half portion option. The mapo tofu was thick and slightly firm. It had a good level of spiciness that made me break a sweat. It paired well with the small bottle of beer. Thanks for the meal~

The beef in Takamiya Hotel's beef noodle soup has been replaced with soy-based vegan meat. It was surprisingly delicious!

About a year ago... I happened to go to this restaurant alone after finishing work on a Saturday (I usually can't eat alone!). And I still go there often. The food is delicious and the staff are very kind, it's the best. I will continue to visit in the future.

I had the liver and leek set meal (*^^*) You can help yourself to rice, soup, and salad, and you can eat as much as you want. The liver and leek were delicious! Next time, I want to try the spicy noodles. (^ー^)

It is a family-run Chinese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. We visited on the 3rd day of the New Year when most other restaurants were closed, but this one was open. I ordered plate udon and my companion ordered spicy ramen. Despite ordering it with less spice, the spicy ramen was still quite hot, but the spiciness was addictive. The plate udon was not spicy at all and had firm noodles. Next time, I want to try the leek and liver dish.

Knife-cut noodles are here, come on in♪ For dinner, I came to eat at this place called "Takamiya Restaurant." It's a pretty humble shop, but that's how Chinese restaurants are. I ordered the "Spicy Fried Rice (Sichuan style) for 680 yen" and a "Bottle of Beer (medium size) for 450 yen." The beer came with a Chinese-style cabbage snack. There is a rice cooker placed between the kitchen and the seating area. During lunch, it seems they serve soup and a small side dish, but not during dinner. The spicy fried rice arrived, and it also came with soup even though it was dinner time. The side dish was pickled mustard greens. The flavor of the fried rice was quite good. The spiciness was about medium, not extremely spicy. However, there were some sliced chili peppers in it. The chef here seems to be able to make knife-cut noodles as well. Quite authentic. It was a delicious meal.

Satisfying portion! Takamiya Restaurant {Minami-ku, Fukuoka City} On October 21, 2016 (Friday), I visited Takamiya Restaurant. Following information from a blogger, I arrived at the east exit of Nishitetsu Takamiya Station. It was close to the small izakaya I visited before. Inside the restaurant, there was a Chinese-speaking owner managing the place alone. He kindly recommended purchasing a meal ticket from the ticket machine. However, once it got busy, he forgot about the ticket machine and took orders directly. The menu consisted of ramen, fried rice, and one side dish. I chose the Mapo Tofu Ramen for 680 yen from the ticket machine. Upon purchasing the meal ticket, rice, soup, and pickles were self-service. The Mapo Tofu Ramen arrived with salad and almond jelly. It was a luxurious version for 680 yen. The noodles were medium-thick and slightly curly. The tofu was sprinkled with Sichuan pepper, making it quite spicy. However, after the spiciness, the umami flavor followed. Next, I had a refill of rice and the usual Mapo Tofu Donburi. Lastly, I enjoyed almond jelly as a palate cleanser. Sweet desserts after spicy food taste delicious. Address: 3-20-25 Kusunoki, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on irregular days.
