I came across a restaurant with flashy signs, indicating it was a yakiniku (grilled meat) place with a casual atmosphere. It was quite busy around 10:00 PM, but I was seated at a table quickly. I ordered a draft beer and some cuts of wagyu beef, prime harami (skirt steak), and prime mino (tripe), along with some spicy kimchi. The wagyu cuts were thick and had a good amount of marbling, giving them a nice sweetness. The prime harami had a decent thickness and chewiness, with good flavor. The prime mino was tender and had a nice bounce to it, without any unpleasant smell. The dipping sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the meat well. The staff, mainly young women, were busy but provided good service. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, with many young customers. I came to Gorilla, the best cost-effective and delicious yakiniku restaurant in Osaka. Each serving of Harami, Nakaochi Kalbi, Salted Tongue, Roast, and Hormone costs 395 yen, while Hormone costs 580 yen. I heard about this place from locals! I remember that most coffee shops used to serve skirt steak in their yakiniku set meals. We also had Wagyu chuck flap tail for 580 yen and Wagyu tongue for 680 yen. We also ordered a plate of assorted namul and kimchi. The sauce was a slightly sweet soy sauce-based sauce, but I wonder if there was gochujang in it. There were small packets of garlic and shichimi on the table. The meat quality was average and felt like it was worth the price.
