It feels like a university cafeteria, but it is open to the public. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 10 am. I took the direct elevator to the 21st floor and entered the restaurant around 9:30 am. Upon entering, I first purchased a meal ticket from the vending machine. The price for students and staff is 200 yen, while for the general public it is 300 yen. As I am a general customer, I paid 300 yen. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious, and there were no other customers at that time. I had the option of Salmon Set Meal, Chicken Karaage Set Meal, or Natto Set Meal. I chose the Salmon Set Meal and handed the meal ticket to the female staff. In about 2 minutes, she brought me a tray with salmon, onsen tamago (hot spring egg), and a side dish. Rice and miso soup were self-service. It was nice to see furikake (rice seasoning) available. I decided to sit on the terrace and enjoyed my 300 yen salmon set meal while overlooking the cityscape of Umeda from the 21st floor. It felt quite luxurious in a way. I ate heartily and finished my meal. Now, off to the next location! Thank you for the meal. By the way, the taste was neither better nor worse than it looked!

On March 14, 2018, I had lunch at the "Nanohana Shokudo" cafeteria on the 21st floor of Osaka Institute of Technology. The cafeteria is a buffet style where you purchase a meal ticket and use a white plastic plate to serve yourself. There is a long table with dishes lined up and you have to choose your dishes in one go as there is no going back once you move along the line. You are only allowed one serving per person for certain dishes. The cafeteria has indoor and terrace seating, and even in mid-March, the terrace was already quite warm. However, the view of Umeda city from the terrace is amazing! The lunch price increased from 600 yen in March to April. Overall, it's worth it for the great view. The scenery is nice, the prices are reasonable, and the food is simply delicious. The interior is bright, open, and comfortable.
