Located in Iko, Fukuchi-cho, Tagawa-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. A bistro in a residential area of Fukuchi-cho. It's not easy to find suddenly considering its location. The sign is displayed, but it's hard to find without navigation. A hidden gem restaurant. Lunch menu includes Today's Lunch, Today's Pasta, Hamburger Lunch, Pasta Course, Petit Course, Hamburger Course, Steak Course, Today's Cake. They also offer frozen hamburgers for takeout. This time, I ordered Today's Lunch (1300 yen). It came with soup, salad, three-layer pork loin and chicken sauté with black pepper flavor, rice, and blueberry prune juice. The soup was a consommé soup with cabbage, bacon, and enoki mushrooms. The sweetness of the vegetables was prominent, adding a touch of sweetness. This sweetness added a Japanese element to the Western-style consommé soup. The salad was a vegetable salad with lettuce, cabbage, red cabbage, and tomatoes, dressed with a citrusy Japanese dressing. The main dish included three-layer pork loin with demi-glace sauce, chicken sauté with a teriyaki-like sauce and black pepper, a radish-based stew, mozuku seaweed, tuna bruschetta, clams, and short pasta with cream sauce on a single plate. The combination of Western and Japanese flavors was evident throughout the meal. I chose rice over bread, which complemented the Japanese influence in the Western-style lunch. The blueberry prune juice was sweet with a hint of blueberry flavor, making it a perfect dessert-like ending to the meal. Tea or coffee is also available. Overall, the meal had a Western base with Japanese influences, and I would love to try their pasta next time. Thank you for the meal.

This is my second visit. The pasta lunch starts at 1300 yen, but I recommend the pasta course for 1760 yen, which includes appetizers, main dish, and dessert. The appetizer assortment includes several types of soup. You can choose from three types of pasta, and this time I had the Japanese-style pasta with shiitake mushrooms and beef tendons. The pasta with tender beef tendons had a gentle flavor and was very delicious. For the main dish, there was spiced chicken and pork sauté. It's nice to be able to enjoy two types of main dishes. After the meal, a dessert assortment and drink were included, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely lunch. You can enjoy the course without a reservation, and the food is served quickly, making it perfect for a lunch break during work.

I visited Bistro Minakawa in Fukuchi Town, Tagawa District for lunch. The restaurant is located in a residential area off the main street with parking available. Inside, there are a few table seats near the entrance and a private room towards the back. I opted for the pasta course which included a half portion of pasta and a main dish. The appetizer plate also came with soup, and the bread was delicious with olive oil. I chose the pork and onion tomato sauce pasta from the three options available. For the main dish, I had pan-fried amberjack and cutlet hamburger, both cooked perfectly with a mustard sauce that complemented the fish well. It was all very delicious.

In the Chikuho area, I had some spare time on the day of work, so I decided to enjoy a leisurely lunch. I remembered seeing a sign for a bistro on the way to Pizza Cafe Genki Hatake before, so I decided to check it out. It was a bit hard to find without a navigation system or a sign, as it was located on a narrow road. Once I arrived, there was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. The place had a historic charm, and the sign at the entrance indicated that it was established in 1998. Inside, there were only table seats available, and the lunch menu ranged from 1000 to 2500 yen (excluding tax). I ordered the most popular pasta course, which included a salad, appetizer, bread, choice of pasta, main dish, dessert, and a drink. The salad came with a homemade Japanese-style dressing, and clam chowder was also included. The bread was a baguette type served with olive oil. I chose the tomato spaghetti with chicken and new onions for the pasta, and you could add Parmesan cheese if you liked. The dry noodles paired well with the sweetness of the onions in the tomato sauce, which also had bamboo shoots. There was plenty of sauce, and I wiped the plate clean with the bread. The main dishes were mackerel escabeche and chicken simmered in a teriyaki-like sauce. I chose iced tea as my drink. For dessert, I had a mini gateau chocolat, lemon sherbet, and fruit yogurt. The portions were generous, and I left feeling satisfied. It was a delightful meal.

I said goodbye to Chibichibi-san and decided to stop by at a restaurant I stumbled upon while waiting at a traffic light. It had a cozy, countryside vibe and seemed like a hidden gem. I ordered the daily lunch special for ¥1,188 and enjoyed a soup and salad before the main course arrived. The main dish included fried white fish and peppered chicken, both of which were tasty. The meal also came with quiche, macaroni salad, and mashed potatoes. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience in a charming setting.

I found a hidden gem restaurant in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, on my way back from a 27km run. As I walked down a narrow alley from the Fukuchi Town Hall, I stumbled upon this hidden restaurant. Inside, I looked at the menu and found options for Pasta Lunch, Daily Lunch, and Deluxe Lunch. I decided to try the Daily Lunch here.

Bistro Minakawa - Casual French Dining in Chikuho's Tagawa District. Nestled in the residential area surrounded by fields, this standout European-style building is a must-visit for French cuisine lovers. The restaurant offers a relaxed bistro experience with most vegetables and herbs being homemade and a chef with training in France. The menu features three set options: Today's Lunch for 1050 yen, Pasta Course for 1500 yen, and Lunch Full Course for 2100 yen. Other options include Pasta Lunch, Hamburger Lunch, Pork Grill Lunch, Fresh Fish Lunch, and Power Steak Lunch. Each set comes with soup, salad, bread or rice, and coffee or tea. The food is not pretentious and can be enjoyed with chopsticks, offering a variety of flavors and textures. The restaurant has a mix of Western-style tables and Japanese-style tatami seating. The reviewer ordered the Hamburger Lunch, Today's Lunch, and Pasta Course, each dish impressing with its flavors and presentation. The Hamburger was juicy and flavorful, the Today's Lunch featured a crispy fish fillet and paprika chicken, and the Pasta Course included a refreshing summer vegetable and shrimp spaghetti. The meal ended with a decadent dessert platter, featuring caramel ice cream, banana spring rolls, coffee jelly, gâteau au chocolat, cheesecake, and assorted fruits. The standout was the hot gâteau au chocolat topped with cold ice cream, creating a delightful contrast of temperatures and flavors.

I was looking for a place where I could have lunch with my kids and relax, and my friend found this place for me. The best part is that they have private rooms. Plus, I heard the pasta is delicious, so I decided to go there right away. I got a little lost on the way, but managed to find it after calling them. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can fit about 5 cars, but the narrow road might make it a bit difficult to come in and out. When we entered the restaurant, they guided us to the private room we had reserved. The room was not tatami, but it was quite spacious and they even provided chairs for the kids. The lunch menu had about 5 pasta options and 5 other choices like chicken nanban and hamburger, all priced around 980 yen. The set came with all-you-can-eat salad and bread, and I added the drink bar for an extra 150 yen. There were also special items on the menu at different prices. I was set on trying the pasta, so I don't remember the other options very well...sorry. I chose the soy milk pasta, which is one of my favorites. While waiting for the food, I went to get the salad and bread. It was a bit awkward because I had to go to the buffet area next door, where other customers were dining. They had 2 types of bread and about 6 salad options, including side dishes. I tried all of them, of course. There were about 5 drink options, including unique juices like acerola and cassis, which were delicious. When I returned to the room, the pasta was ready. The noodles were chewy and the sauce was light yet flavorful, making it very tasty. The staff was attentive and made our experience very comfortable. I would definitely want to visit again!

It was a restaurant I wanted to visit. I am a commoner, so I feel nervous about going to stylish places, but I gathered my courage. I hesitated a bit, but finally arrived. Upon entering the restaurant, it felt more like being invited to Minagawa-san's home than just a regular restaurant, which made me feel very comfortable. I thought about ordering the course menu, but I wanted to try various dishes, so I ordered a la carte. There were quite a few tomato and cheese dishes that girls would enjoy. The flavors were enjoyable, and the presentation of the dishes was also pleasing. I would like to try their lunch next time.

In Fukuchi-cho, there is a popular bistro offering French-style hors d'oeuvres. However, perhaps due to the Bon Festival, the dishes had a significant Japanese influence. Despite this, the variety of dishes exceeded the price and the taste was excellent, making it worth a repeat visit. It was a delightful home dining experience.
