I lined up around 1 pm and ate. They took our orders while we were waiting in line, so the food came out quickly once we were seated. From left to right, we had okonomiyaki (mixed) with cheese and tendon topping, in the middle was tonpeiyaki with cheese, and on the right was yakisoba. The okonomiyaki was creamy and light, easy to eat and delicious.

When I went to a live concert in Osaka, I wanted to eat something that was typical of Osaka! I was surprised by the smell and steam inside the restaurant, but it really whet my appetite. I had never really eaten flour-based dishes at a restaurant before, so it was a new experience for me. Sitting at the counter, I could see the okonomiyaki being cooked right in front of me, which was entertaining and fun. Since it was before the concert, I opted for a healthy tea, but the person next to me was enjoying a beer from lunchtime, and it looked so delicious. Truly Osaka! Very cool! I struggled to finish just one piece, so I thought it would be nice if they had a smaller size option available.

Visited around 5:00 PM on a Sunday evening. There were 2 people waiting, but I was seated right away at the counter where there was space available, even though the tables were full. I ordered the recommended Imo Buta Tama Okonomiyaki for 1400 yen and a draft beer for 630 yen. It was a unique okonomiyaki with chunks of potatoes instead of yam, giving it a crispy surface and fluffy inside. Thank you for the meal.

My friend came to Osaka to play, so we had lunch together at the gourmet street in Lucua in front of the station. It was a good idea to make reservations in advance as all the places had long queues. We tried the popular dish, Modern Imo Suzu Negi Tama for 1600 yen, and it was indeed delicious. Even though it was a bit pricey, the taste was great. The best treat was the conversation with my friend. And to top it off, my friend treated me to the meal.

It's been a while since I strolled around Osaka with my friends. We went from Kita to Minami and back to Kita, ending with okonomiyaki. It was my first time here, but it was nice to relax. The okonomiyaki was average, nothing special. We had yakisoba, butatama, and suji kon tamago on top. Overall, the food didn't have any standout features.

On the final day of my trip to Osaka, I realized that I hadn't eaten okonomiyaki yet, so I decided to try it here. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and the taste was mediocre at best. I found that the okonomiyaki at the Hokkaido chain restaurant called "Kazuki" was much more delicious. In fact, Kazuki in Hokkaido is way better than this place. Overall, this was the only disappointment of my trip to Osaka.

I tried okonomiyaki with potatoes for the first time and it was delicious! The potatoes made it quite heavy, so eating it with beer made me really full and uncomfortable on the way home haha. Next time, I want to try the yakisoba! I went around 5 pm and there were about 3 groups ahead of me, but the line moved quickly and I waited about 15-20 minutes before getting in. It's better to go early to avoid waiting too long.

It's hot, I want to drink beer, so I don't care where I go! With that mindset, I chose Momotaro on the 10th floor of Lucua. Normally, if a restaurant is in Lucua, it should be of a certain level. Naturally, the prices are high. 630 yen for a beer and 950 yen for pork and egg. I usually wouldn't drink beer at this price, but I couldn't resist my thirst, and when I drank it... it smelled and left a lingering odor in my throat. That's why I only want to drink draft beer at a reliable place. If you're going to charge a high price, clean the tap! As for the okonomiyaki, "Please add mayonnaise and seaweed according to your preference." No, don't add bonito flakes if that's the case. I want to mix the sauce and mayonnaise before adding toppings! When I tried it, the sauce was just spicy and the dough was hard. It was no different from making okonomiyaki at home on a hot plate. Even the okonomiyaki at the chain restaurant Fugetsu is much tastier! I won't go back anymore. It was a mistake.

In Osaka, many okonomiyaki restaurants in commercial facilities often have a break time. However, this restaurant in the Lucua building connected to the station is open all day, which is great. Even when it's crowded, the turnover is quick. On a holiday around 3 pm, the restaurant was full with 2 groups waiting outside. We were able to get in after about 15 minutes. [What we ordered] Black oolong tea ¥420 Modern mix ¥1,850 Topping mochi ¥200 Sweet potato and pork tempura ¥1,400 Maybe because it was always full, we had to wait for about 20 minutes until our order was served. But they cook everything fresh, so it's reassuring. I ordered the sweet potato and pork tempura because of the sign saying "Recommended by Master Katsura Bunshi!" It was my first time seeing potatoes in okonomiyaki. It was delicious and the texture was great! The prices are a bit high, but being able to enjoy their famous okonomiyaki at any time in a station-connected facility is very convenient. Considering the location, it seems reasonable. It's a restaurant worth remembering and visiting. Thank you for the meal!

Last year during New Year's, the Umeda area was crowded during lunchtime, but this year it's even worse with the addition of tourists. The dining district in Lucua was almost completely lined up, but the okonomiyaki here was relatively empty. I came here last year as well, and for the second year in a row, I lined up here. When I placed my order, they started making it right away, so the turnover is quite fast. Their specialty is okonomiyaki with potatoes in it. This time, I ordered the potato, pork, and tempura mix okonomiyaki. The tempura was average, with the meat being a bit tough. Both the okonomiyaki and the modan were delicious. The sauce had a nice spicy flavor to it, which I liked. I would even consider getting just the sauce to take home.

Osaka's specialty, okonomiyaki! Located a 5-minute walk from Osaka Station and Umeda Station at the restaurant floor of LUCUA is Momotaro. I had some business in Osaka and it was my first visit. I arrived at 9 pm on a weekday. Momotaro has several shops in Osaka and is well-known, but I was able to get a table in about 5 minutes due to the late hour. They bring the okonomiyaki that the staff cooked to the iron plate on the table. The fluffy okonomiyaki batter and the plump ingredients, along with the savory smell of the sauce cooking on the hot plate, were amazing! There are plenty of toppings to choose from, so you can enjoy your own favorite okonomiyaki ☺️☺️ I went there for the flour-based dishes, but the yakisoba I ordered was surprisingly delicious! I wish I had come a little earlier to eat slowly. The modern yaki had a nice chewy texture and was delicious. However, the cheese topping didn't really stand out. The seafood mix okonomiyaki was soft and mushy, probably because it had too many ingredients. It would be better if it was a bit firmer.

Since it is directly connected to Osaka Station, there is a sense of many travelers. There are a lot of young people in terms of generation. It was my first time visiting, so I ordered the modern grilled squid and pork. The manager who was cooking in front of the counter seemed attentive, as he instructed other staff for orders and water. The sauce was on the sweeter side, so adding the provided mayonnaise and extra sauce made it a bit richer. It's a Hiroshima-style dish with a soft texture. I think the portion size is normal. You can change the noodles to udon.

The modern cheese mochi pork was also very popular, and we ended up ordering the modern sweet potato pork as well. The last addition was quite filling, with a lot of potatoes. I think one okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and 2-3 side dishes are the best combination. It was a long time since I had dinner with my sister, so we were engrossed in conversation and only managed to take a photo of the modern cheese mochi pork. Overall, the food was delicious. A medium-sized Osaka-style okonomiyaki. The sauce was not spicy, the batter was fluffy, the cabbage was cut large and crispy, and the pork was crispy and well-seasoned.
The total bill for two people was 3910 yen. The okonomiyaki and side dishes were very delicious.

Gourmet restaurant on the 10th floor of Lucua. [Menu received] Pork Tam Mix Yakisoba [Impressions] The pork tam was a delicious mix that brought out the sweetness of the cabbage, and it paired well with the spicy sauce. The pork flavor was a bit subtle, though. The Mix Yakisoba had chewy noodles that were tasty. The sweet and spicy sauce, seafood, cabbage, and pork all blended well together. One thing to note is that when I went right after they opened, there were instances of forgetting to refill chopsticks and mistakes in order delivery. I hope they can improve their service a bit more.

I decided to have lunch at Rukua, but everywhere seemed quite crowded. I managed to find a place where I could be seated right away. I ordered pork okonomiyaki and chorizo with a beer. The chorizo arrived first and its spiciness paired well with the beer. The pork okonomiyaki was delicious, but I was curious about what "nama-no okonomiyaki" was.
