This year I was able to go there. It was around 12,000 yen for one night. I stayed in Shakotan and for this price, I think it's cheap. I don't eat sea urchin anywhere else but here. I'm not a fan of it in general, so I don't usually eat it, but the sea urchin here is really delicious. The food selection may not be for everyone, but for seafood lovers, I think this inn is really good. The rooms are cleaned well. If I had to say one thing, I wish there was a refrigerator. You can take leftovers back to your room to eat. As always, the customer service is really wonderful, and it was a very comfortable inn to stay at!

After playing in the sea in Shikotsu, I stayed at this inn. I had made a reservation, but there wasn't much information beforehand, and it was my first time staying in a ryokan, so I was nervous. I had only heard that there was a huge amount of sea urchin. I can't eat sea urchin... I arrived at the inn around 4 pm. I checked in and entered my room. I forgot to take a picture of the room... I had been drinking since about 7 in the morning, so I was already a mess. The inn has about 10 rooms. There is also a dining hall and a communal bath. The bath has three washing areas and one large tub. The inn may not be very new, but it was overall quite clean. Until dinner time, I took a bath, drank, played Othello, drank, and so on. When it was time for dinner, I headed to the dining hall. The food was already laid out. We served ourselves rice. I was a mess, so I don't remember how much of each dish I ate... but there were some things I didn't like... but I think the contents were quite luxurious. Sea urchin was served on a plate. The dishes were subtly seasoned, perhaps to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. Personally, I found the stir-fried butterbur at breakfast to be very delicious. The lovely hospitality of the mothers was also very pleasant. I am very satisfied with the cozy and relaxing atmosphere, more so than staying at a large hot spring.
