If you occasionally go, a recommended restaurant is the Kaiten Sushi Ganeko Abeno Harukas store located within Abeno Harukas. I visited this revolving sushi restaurant after sightseeing at Abeno Harukas, curious about the taste of Kansai-style sushi compared to East Japan. Despite being a weekday, there was a small line of about 10 people waiting. I wondered if Kansai people lining up for sushi meant it was delicious. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, I entered the restaurant. Looking at the menu, they had various types of sushi ranging from 120 yen to 580 yen, as well as other dishes like soup, dessert, and drinks. I tried dishes like conger eel, shrimp, horse mackerel, tuna, scallop, and octopus, all of which had a good taste and texture. Overall, I found the sushi to be delicious, although slightly more expensive compared to the Hokuriku region. I would like to try other Ganeko stores in the future.

I visited the revolving sushi restaurant Gonkou in Abeno Harukas during dinner time. Abeno Harukas, which has been boasting the title of Japan's tallest building for 9 years since its opening on March 7, 2014, will relinquish its title to Azabudai Hills on November 24. There are counter seats where you can order directly from the chef, as well as touch panel seats where you can order using a touch screen. I chose a counter seat and started by quenching my thirst with beer. I tried the Kumano wild bluefin tuna red meat, which was freshly caught at Katsuura fishing port. The red meat was rich in flavor. Next, I had the grilled conger eel, which had a fragrant charred taste. Then, I enjoyed the firefly squid, known for its delicate flavor despite its large size. The simmered anago eel melted slowly in my mouth. The snow crab, likely from Russia, was delicious. I also tried the marinated tuna, large clam, and the Kumano wild bluefin tuna sushi with vinegar rice and seaweed, which had an excellent harmony of flavors. I visited the Kaiten Sushi Gonko Abeno Harukas store located on the basement floor of Abeno Harukas in Osaka, Tennoji. I read the Google reviews saying that the sushi is good and decided to try it for the first time. I ordered the eel with sansho pepper, as well as the popular squid, snow crab, pike conger eel, salmon roe, and more. The sushi topped with rare sea grapes and grilled eel were delicious. The one with crab miso on the shell had a lot of miso in it. Overall, it was a great find! Thank you for the meal!

"Ganko Sushi" on the 2nd floor of Kintetsu Department Store is a great place to eat. I was a bit skeptical about conveyor belt sushi, but this place has high ratings. The prices for each plate are reasonable and wallet-friendly. You order using a tablet. The hirame, striped jack, tuna, bonito, amberjack, negitoro, and red clam sushi were all delicious. The striped jack had a nice firm texture and was very fresh. The amberjack was moist and had a large piece of meat. The red clam was thick and flavorful. I also got a free chu-hi drink with a LINE coupon. Thank you for the meal!

Early New Year? Late Christmas? Every year we come here with the gift certificates we receive! Ganko Sushi offers a variety of payment methods and the staff explains in English to foreign customers, which is impressive! We arrived at 11:30 so there was zero wait time. The tables at the back had touch panel ordering. We had oyster ponzu, fatty tuna roll, horse mackerel, sardine, and conger eel. Of course, we also had bottled beer from noon! Thank you for the meal!

There are two ordering options: one where you order directly from the chef and another where you use a touch panel. I chose to sit at the counter where you order from the chef. I started with a beer to quench my thirst. The recommended dish here is the fresh tuna, which has a rich color. The steamed conger eel was fluffy and delicious. I also had a seasonal set of five pieces, including sea bream, seared mackerel, sweet shrimp, bamboo shoot, and firefly squid with vinegar miso. The squid was chewy and had a good texture. Located in the basement of Abeno Kintetsu Department Store, "Abeno Ichiba Shokudo" has a counter near the entrance, but further back there are table seats (4 tables) that are perfect for families. You can order directly in front of the chef, or use an iPad to order at the counter or table seats. The variety and quantity of sushi is incredibly extensive and enjoyable! The ingredients are fresh and the cost performance is excellent. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I wonder how long it has been since I last visited Ganko Sushi. This is my first time at this conveyor belt sushi restaurant. On weekends, there can be a line during lunchtime. Normally, I go to Sushiro for conveyor belt sushi in Tennoji, but today I decided to try this place. You can choose between ordering from the sushi chef at the counter or using a touch panel. I chose the touch panel. Of course, I ordered a draft beer! I had eel, scallop, horse mackerel, and sardines. Even though it's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the sushi isn't going around probably due to the pandemic. The items you order on the touch panel will come to you. The eel had a slight fishy smell, but the rest was delicious. I forgot to take photos, but I also had medium fatty tuna and crab miso. All of this cost me less than 2000 yen. It's a slightly upscale conveyor belt sushi experience. Eating freshly made sushi, drinking beer, and spending less than 2000 yen is great.

After shopping at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, I had lunch at "Kaiten Sushi Ganko" on the B2 floor. Connected to Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi Station, very close to Tennoji Station on various lines. This is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located in the food court "Abeno Ichiba Shokudo" on the B2F of the Wing Building at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store. The restaurant is operated by "Ganko Food Service," which has multiple locations in Osaka Prefecture, the Kansai region, Tokyo, and Kanagawa Prefecture. However, they only have three conveyor belt sushi restaurants at Abeno Harukas, Umeda, and Shin-Osaka. Most of the seating inside the restaurant is at the counter, but there are a few table seats available, totaling 43 seats. The counter seats have transparent acrylic dividers between them, which can feel a bit cramped, especially with the product information posted on them. Due to the state of emergency, alcohol is not served, so I settled for tea. The restaurant was relatively empty at the time, so there were not many dishes on the conveyor belt, mostly just menu cards. Instead of selecting from the menu and filling out an order form to hand to the staff, I decided to pick dishes from the conveyor belt. I patiently waited and managed to catch a Kanpachi dish, which had a firm texture and fluffy rice. Next, I caught a seared Tai dish with grated soy sauce, enhancing the rich flavor of the Tai. After observing the conveyor belt for a while without seeing anything appealing, I decided to order "unakyu" directly from the chef in front of me. The "unakyu" was served with a large spoon, similar to what you would find at a robatayaki restaurant. The combination of crispy seaweed, slightly sweet eel, and refreshing cucumber in the "unakyu" was delicious. Feeling satisfied, I asked for the bill, which came to just over a thousand yen. While slightly more expensive compared to major sushi restaurants, the quality of the dishes made it worth it. They also offer affordable sushi set meals served in a sushi tub during lunchtime, starting from 880 yen (excluding tax), making it easy to enjoy classic sushi dishes.

Around 6 o'clock in the evening on a regular day, three of us visited a chain sushi restaurant called "Ganko." I don't usually go to chain restaurants, so I didn't have much expectation, but when I happened to go alone before and it wasn't bad, we decided to go there as a group this time. The ordering system is mainly touch panel, but there were some special recommendations that couldn't be ordered through the panel that day. One of them was called "Bosei Saba," which can be served raw or pickled. I love saba sushi, so I decided to try it. *I later found out that it was actually called "Bosei Saba," not "Bosei Saba" as written on the sign. It's a bit embarrassing to make mistakes like this. I'll be more careful in the future. The saba was delicious, with a good amount of fat and a nice vinegary flavor, just the way I like it. We also had some shrimp and a few other dishes, along with beer and shochu highballs, and it cost us less than 4000 yen per person. If I had ordered more, it would have been around twice that amount. It's not cheap for conveyor belt sushi, but considering the taste and location, it's understandable. The floor staff were very attentive and friendly, but I'll refrain from commenting on the sushi chef.

I spent a luxurious day in Tennoji, enjoying a head spa and leisurely shopping by myself. When lunchtime passed and I started feeling hungry, I suddenly craved sushi. I remembered there was a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Ganko Sushi in the basement of Harukas, so I decided to visit. It was past 3 pm, so the restaurant was not crowded. Surprisingly, there were many women dining alone at the conveyor belt sushi restaurant, making it a comfortable environment for solo diners. The restaurant had partitions in place for COVID-19 prevention, which added to the cozy atmosphere. I ended up having a total of 6 plates of sushi, which was more than I usually eat (oops). The standout dishes were the amberjack and the seared sushi platter. The seared squid was unfortunately sold out, but the raw octopus and seafood battleship were just average, similar to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants. I recommend choosing the right dishes for better value and a great dining experience. The staff at this restaurant left a positive impression, making the overall experience enjoyable. It's a nice place to relax for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Now, I don't really know if it's true or not, but back in high school, there was a classmate who used to say, "I'm the son of the president of a famous restaurant!" I really disliked that guy, so I swore I would never go to that restaurant no matter what! And that feeling must have stayed deep inside me, because I had never visited any of their restaurants, including their affiliated ones, until now. But then, while buying some snacks at the Hankyu department store in Abeno, I stumbled upon "Abeno Market Dining." I thought, maybe it's a good place for a light lunch. I decided to give it a try, despite my previous feelings. I was seated at the counter and ordered a draft beer first. Although I only wandered around a bit, my throat was dry and the carbonation felt refreshing. I chose three items: a trio of tuna (748 yen), a mackerel sushi wrap (143 yen), and seared amberjack (302 yen). It's probably considered a high-end revolving sushi place. It was decent. When I had some free time, I looked up the famous restaurant online. It turns out the restaurant started in Juso. Come to think of it, that guy was indeed from Juso. But his family name didn't match the founding family of the restaurant. So, what was he talking about back then? Well, it doesn't really matter now.

"I thought it might be rare in a department store basement." That's what I thought when I stopped by this conveyor belt sushi restaurant at Abeno Harukas. Conveyor belt sushi restaurants are now not only in the suburbs but also in many commercial facilities, but I had never seen one in a department store with a high-class image. So, when I found this branch of "Kaiten Sushi Ganko" in the basement of Abeno Harukas in Osaka on this day, I was a little surprised. I had eaten at Ganko Group restaurants a few times before, but I had never used the conveyor belt sushi, so I decided to stop by on this occasion. On the day I visited, they were holding a fair called "Kumano Maguro Festival" using Kumano's fresh tuna, so I first ordered the fair menu, "Assorted Maguro Nigiri Sushi." It included lean tuna, fatty tuna, and rolled sushi with tuna, and I was impressed by the solid taste of the tuna itself. Next, I ordered nigiri sushi using Ganko Group's branded sea bream, "Ganko Sea Bream" and "Seared Ganko Sea Bream." Some sea bream sushi at other restaurants had a texture that was not quite right, but the sea bream nigiri this time had a good balance of elasticity and umami. Next, I enjoyed the "Red Snow Crab Layered Nigiri" and "Red Snow Crab Overflow Gunkan" using snow crabs from Hyogo's Awaji. Personally, it was my first time to eat Awaji snow crabs not only as sushi but also as a whole, and I could enjoy the delicate and soft flesh and elegant sweetness. Finally, I tried the nigiri sushi of "Swordfish" and "Homemade Fresh Yuba" that were rotating on the lane in front of me. The "Swordfish" is a high-class fish with a high fat content called toro all over the body, and it seems that it is not always available at this "Kaiten Sushi Ganko." The nigiri I picked up was quite reddish, but I felt a sticky texture and the deliciousness of the fat compared to the lean tuna mentioned earlier. On the other hand, regarding the "Homemade Fresh Yuba," the Ganko Group puts effort into tofu as well, having a tofu specialty store called "Ganko Momen Tofu Ittenan," and I could feel the tofu-like flavor and sweetness firmly in this fresh yuba nigiri this time (note that this store also offers "Ganko Momen Tofu" as a side menu). There is a strong impression that restaurants on the upper floors of department stores are of higher quality than restaurants in the basement, but I personally think that this "Kaiten Sushi Ganko" in the basement of Abeno Harukas is at a level that is not inferior to the restaurants on the upper restaurant floor. I wanted to eat sushi for the first time in a while, so I went to Ganko in Harukas. Since it was still before 11 o'clock, there were not many customers waiting in line, and I was able to get in on the first round. I had a maguro (tuna) assortment, overflowing ikura (salmon roe), crab miso, etc. I also wanted to eat eel, so I ordered an unagi (eel) tamago (egg) roll. The ordering system was not a tablet, but rather written down. Well, I couldn't see the touch screen anyway, as it seems that the mistake of 130 yen for water in Korean on August 2 has been corrected. The unagi tamago roll was surprisingly delicious. It was a bit disappointing that there was not much overflowing ikura.

It's been a while since I went to Ganko Sushi in Harukas. It's not the typical 100 yen conveyor belt sushi, but the price is still affordable. The fact that you can just leave after one plate if you don't like it makes it easy to try. Due to the effects of COVID-19, they are serving lunch all day. There's no reason not to go for the premium option. And of course, wine goes well with sushi. I was satisfied with just over 2000 yen. The chu-toro was delicious! And the shrimp was so thick! The rice was thankfully small, making it just right for dinner. I will definitely go back!

I visited the rotating sushi restaurant Ganko located on the B2 floor of Abeno Harukas. I haven't been to other Ganko locations before, but here you can order and have skilled sushi chefs prepare your sushi. The ingredients are carefully selected, and although it can be a bit pricey, you can enjoy high-quality sushi similar to what you find in department store food halls. There are acrylic dividers between tables to maintain social distance. I recommend trying the fresh bluefin tuna here. The bluefin tuna from Nachikatsuura is not frozen, so you can taste the true flavor of fresh bluefin tuna. The eel sushi is delicious here. The eel is deboned and when dipped in hot water, it opens up like a flower. For sushi, plum paste is a perfect match. The bonito tataki from Sanriku is excellent. When the bonito school migrates north to Sanriku waters, it becomes slightly fatty. The quality of fresh bonito is evident compared to frozen ones I had before. The seasonal Japanese flying squid is tender and sweet. The steamed conger eel is fluffy and delicious. The chawanmushi is smooth and tasty. The scallop is meaty and satisfying. This is a shop located underground in Harukas! It's great to shop on the upper floors, buy side dishes underground, and then stop by for lunch! You can enjoy delicious sushi from Ganko for around 1000 yen, making lunch a great deal! The staff are polite and attentive, truly living up to the Ganko name! Thank you for the delicious lunch! The cost performance is great, so I will definitely be back!
