- Summer strawberry shortcake
- Earl Grey
Although it is a different store, I have been visiting this cake shop for 20 years. I always get the banana chocolate cake to go, but today was the first time I dined in. Last time, I had to give up due to the long wait for tea time, but this time it was still early for lunch, so it wasn't crowded. I was thinking of getting my usual cake, but I was drawn to the simple shortcake on the menu board at the entrance, which had "limited time only" written on it. I hesitated, but decided to try a different cake for the first time. Summer strawberries are somewhat sour, just thinking about it makes my mouth pucker, but with plenty of cream, maybe it needs that acidity to not be too heavy. I love shortcake the most out of all the cakes, but at HARBS, I still think the banana cake is the best! Also, this Earl Grey is very stylish and has a luxurious feel, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was a point in serving it in a decanter.

The atmosphere is calm and cozy, perfect for enjoying delicious cakes and tea. The hot tea is served in a pot and you can get up to 3 refills, while the iced tea allows for up to 2 refills. Although it may be a bit pricey, the quality justifies the cost.

After visiting Tennoji Zoo, I stopped by for a sugar boost because I was tired. The cake was delicious as always. The photo is of an orange mousse cake. I usually have tea, but this time I ordered coffee. The lightly roasted coffee was really tasty, reaffirming the quality of this place. I appreciate their commitment to serving good quality items rather than following trends.

Herb's, a large shortcake shop originating from Nagoya. I used to receive their cakes often for special occasions when I was in Nagoya. This time, I came across Herb's at the Abeno Harukas store in Osaka and couldn't resist buying one after a long time. When I visited in the evening, there were only a few varieties left in the showcase, but luckily there was a delicious-looking strawberry cake available. Priced at 950 yen per slice, it is a high-end cake, but it is worth the price as it is about 1.5 times the size of a regular shortcake, providing a satisfying and delicious treat. The creamy texture melts easily, so it is recommended to chill it in the refrigerator until just before eating.

I love herbs. I visited the cafe on a weekday before lunch because I was craving for strawberry cake. I enjoyed the cake slowly while drinking coffee. I love the simplicity and deliciousness of the strawberry cake. The sweetness of the whipped cream was just right, and the strawberries were beautiful. Just looking at the beautiful cross-section makes me happy. It paired well with the coffee and I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Custard chestnut cake ¥830, Manhattan coffee ¥660. I arrived around 2 pm on a holiday. Due to the typhoon, the store closed at 3 pm, so it was empty inside and there were only a few cakes left. You can have free refills only for hot coffee. I wanted to try the New York cheesecake or banana cream pie, but they were sold out. They are usually sold out (T_T). If you dine in, it's a one drink per person policy!

After finishing some errands on my way home from work, I stopped by Harbs at Abeno Harukas. It's always crowded on weekends, but on weekday evenings, you can enjoy a leisurely tea time. The interior has a classic feel with soothing classical music playing in the background, typical of Harbs. I ordered the cherry cheesecake and coffee. The sweetness of Harbs' cakes usually suits my taste, but this one was a bit too sweet for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. With a mountain of work waiting for me at home, it's hard to relax and enjoy tea. I'll definitely come back when I have a free mind to truly savor the experience.

I visited around 2 o'clock on Saturday. There were a few groups waiting, but I was seated in about 15 minutes. There were many types of cakes, all of which looked delicious. It was my first time, so I chose the most popular milk crepe. It had lots of strawberries, bananas, kiwi, and melon! The portion size was big and I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

The green tea mousse made with domestic matcha and Azuki beans is wrapped in whipped cream. As a matcha lover, I usually avoid desserts with weak matcha flavor, but this one pleasantly surprised me with its strong matcha taste in the mousse. I'm not a big fan of Azuki beans, so I would have liked it even more without them.

☆ Each Line Tennoji Kintetsu Line Osaka Abenobashi Abeno Harukas Wing building 3rd floor is a shop. In the afternoon, it's always full of customers. On a rainy weekday afternoon around 2 o'clock, surprisingly it was not crowded, only about half full. This is a chance, let's go in~ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) I sat on a comfortable chair at a 3-person table near the entrance and checked out the menu from April 1st to May 12th! Among the delicious cakes, I ordered a Strawberry Milk Crepe for 1000 yen and a Ceylon Orange Tea for 700 yen~♪ The cakes at this shop are very big! The Strawberry Milk Crepe had plenty of strawberries between the thin and soft crepes~〜(☆▽☆) There were big strawberries at the bottom too. It was different from the milk crepes I've had before! The Ceylon Orange Tea was served in a pot with enough for 2 cups. The thickly sliced oranges and fragrant Ceylon tea went really well with the cake. I spent a luxurious cafe time in the rainy afternoon. Thank you for the meal~

In mid-February, after enjoying a lunch of yakiniku, I decided to have tea at this cafe and indulge in a gorgeous cake. The cafe is located on the 3rd floor of the Abeno Harukas Wing Building, called "Herbs Kintetsu Abeno Harukas Store." I had been wanting to visit this place for a while. The highlight is the cakes displayed in the showcase. Not only are they impressive, but they are also elegant and luxurious. I chose the Strawberry Tart Cake (850 yen) from the selection of cakes in the showcase. The cafe had a serene atmosphere, and the customers were quietly enjoying their cakes and tea. I also ordered a Ceylon tea with lemon (700 yen). The cake was a generous portion and the tea was served in a beautiful white ceramic pot and cup. The cake had a tart base with custard cream, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream on top. The flavors were delicate and not overly sweet. Despite the high price, the quality and taste of the cake made it worth it. I left feeling satisfied and wanting to try more cakes from this place in the future. It's a great place for an occasional indulgence.

After finishing shopping with my daughters at Abeno Harukas, we felt like having something sweet and coffee. So, we visited the familiar Herb's (*^▽^*). It was already 6 o'clock when we arrived, so there were hardly any cakes left in the showcase. But luckily, there was cheesecake available! We also ordered coffee, which was soon brought to us along with the cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious as always! The cream cheese was rich and satisfying. The coffee was aromatic and we could even get a refill, which was perfect for coffee lovers like us (*≧∀≦*). I love Herb's so much! I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal! (^O^)/

I stopped by for a little break while shopping. There were many beautiful and kind ladies who provided meticulous, kind, and polite service, making it feel like a true Japanese café. It felt very comfortable and relaxing, like a café inside a department store. I was very satisfied. I ordered a delicious-looking cake from the showcase, which turned out to be surprisingly large, creating a humorous contrast as I desperately tried to eat it in this elegant place. The tea I ordered was also very refined, meticulously brewed and refreshing, truly embodying the essence of good tea. I praised myself for coming to such a wonderful place that had nailed the basics. Japanese people are serious. Japan is a clean and polite country. Thank you for the meal.

During the state of emergency on a Friday... I couldn't go out for a meal, so I decided to buy a cake for takeout this week. It's been a while. Herb's gives the impression of a large cake with plenty of fruit (^ ^) I was hesitating about which takeout cake to get, and even though there were zero people waiting when I arrived, by the time I finished paying, there were over 10 people gathered in front of the store... It seems like everyone is thinking the same thing after work (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) This time, I ordered the following three items! The melon cake was absolutely delicious with a perfect combination of melon, sponge cake, and whipped cream. The blueberry cheesecake had plenty of large blueberries on top of a soft cheese mousse. It was a refreshing and easy-to-eat cake. The apple mango cake had a strong sweetness and aroma of apple and mango, making you feel like you're eating mango. Like the others, this cake also had a mousse base instead of sponge cake. It was a perfect cake for escaping the reality of the pandemic and feeling like you're in a tropical paradise (laughs) For takeout, there is an additional charge of 50 yen for a cooling bag. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again!

Chestnut tart with chocolate chips, wrapped in chestnut paste with a hint of rum-flavored whipped cream. I usually don't like chestnuts, but this dessert has plenty of cream and the chestnut flavor is not overpowering. The rum and chocolate chips add a nice touch. Great job!

Cream Cheese Milk Crepe: A crepe sandwich filled with rich cream cheese cream made from domestically produced cream cheese and sweet-sour blueberries. This is my second favorite cake at Herb's! The rare cheese cream is rich and flavorful yet refreshing and light, so before you know it, you've finished eating it... The blueberry accent is just right...

I visited around 3:00 PM and there was a long line, but they seated me quickly. There were many types of cakes to choose from, but I went with the milk crepe and Seattle blend. The cream was light and delicious, making it easy to eat. It was really tasty.

Herbs at Kintetsu Abeno store is a convenient café where you can enjoy chamomile tea and herbal tea in a glass pot with botanical chamomile visible. They also offer a fresh fruit cake for 1050 yen, filled with seasonal fruits such as strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, melon, and mango. The cake has a light cream and sponge with plenty of fruits.

I visited the Herb's cake shop with a friend who loves their cakes. We arrived shortly after the opening time to avoid waiting. The shop was not crowded as expected. I usually don't eat cake much, but decided to try it this time. We ordered one slice of cake to share, and each got a different drink. I had organic blend coffee, which was light and easy to drink. I tried the Seattle blend coffee for my second cup, which was stronger but still enjoyable. My friend had Royal Milk, a sweet drink that paired well with the cake. We chose the seasonal Melon cake, which was large and delicious. The cake was light and not too sweet, with a perfect amount of fresh melon on top. We enjoyed our time there for about an hour before moving on to our next destination.

When it comes to Herbs, it is strongly associated with Nagoya, so it doesn't stand out much in Osaka, but large-sized cakes definitely make a big impact. It was just before 12 o'clock, so the store was still quite empty.
- Strawberry Chocolate Cake (930 yen)
The cake had plenty of large strawberries. Since it's not quite the peak season for strawberries yet, they were a bit sour. The overall balance of cream, chocolate sponge, custard cream, etc. was well done.
- Honey Strawberry (800 yen)
A pot of honey is served on the side. The first bite without honey had a pleasant lingering sweetness from the strawberries. Adding honey gave it a deeper sweetness and a rich mouthfeel. Personally, I don't usually drink sweet tea, so I could have done without the honey. The pot was enough for about 2 cups.
