I love grilled eel, so I immediately fell in love with it on the menu and ordered it. The beef tongue was a bit tough, but there were two types to enjoy. The soup had just the right amount of saltiness and was delicious. The grilled eel was topped with grated yam. For dessert, a small and perfectly sized sweet bean paste bun was included. There are two Sendai-style beef tongue restaurants in the Tennoji area, including two at Tennoji MIO, but in terms of name value, Teikyu is the top choice. The beef tongue set meal with 8 slices costs 3047 yen, and you can get a free extra-large portion of barley rice. At MIO, places like Hemmi and Aobaen offer free refills, so it might be due to the high rent at Harukas Dining. The taste of the beef tongue, which I chose to be miso-flavored, is consistently good. There are two types of seasoning, salt and miso, but personally, I recommend miso flavor when eating Sendai-style beef tongue. If you are used to eating high-end beef tongue in Kansai, the salt flavor may feel a bit lacking, so Teikyu's oxtail soup adds a sense of luxury and is delicious.

I added grated yam to the beef tongue set meal. You can choose between miso and salt flavor. Even with the miso flavor, it wasn't overpowering and had a perfect seasoning. The beef tongue slices were large and just six slices had a satisfying portion. The side dishes like pickled vegetables and miso soup were also delicious and I finished the rice in no time. It's been a while since I visited Tennoji! This is my second time at Harukas! I don't come here often, so I was looking forward to what to eat. When I looked at the lunch floor map, the words "beef tongue" caught my eye! I love beef tongue so much that when I go to a yakiniku restaurant, I start and end with it! I love the texture so much, and it's light so I don't get tired of eating it! So I came here! There was quite a lot of tongue, so I was satisfied! The sauce was also light and went well with rice. The oxtail soup that came with the set was clear and transparent, but packed with rich umami flavor, making it light and tasty. I wanted to try more dishes, but they mentioned they only serve one dish for lunch, which was a bit disappointing. However, I definitely want to go back again!

During a shopping trip with friends, I had lunch and chose the special limited quantity dish of calf tongue. It had a satisfying texture and a strong flavor, not overly tender. When eaten with the spicy miso sauce with green chili peppers, it had a nice kick to it and was delicious. The photo shows oxtail soup, which normally comes with barley rice, but I skipped the rice this time so I could enjoy the calf tongue fully. The clientele seemed to consist mostly of businessmen in suits, perhaps due to it being a Friday evening.

I learned that Sendai's beef tongue is famous after using this restaurant. Until then, I thought beef tongue was something you order at yakiniku restaurants. But when I came here right after the opening of Harukas, I was surprised to find a "beef tongue specialty restaurant." Since then, I have become completely captivated by it. The menu is incredibly extensive, so please take a look at the posted images. I often order the "ultimate" grilled beef tongue set (5 slices, 10 pieces) for 3,834 yen, but the price varies depending on the number of slices. Even the 3 slice, 6 piece option for 2,495 yen is satisfying because the thick slices have a lot of bite to them. The miso stir-fried chewy hormone for 864 yen was also a satisfying dish with a generous portion of hormone that wasn't shriveled.

The menu was so extensive that I had trouble deciding. In the end, I enjoyed my meal!
