The restaurant is open from 6 am. I used it for a quick meal before boarding the highway bus early in the morning. There are few places serving breakfast near Osaka Station, so it was very helpful. The beef bowl is just a normal, delicious Yoshinoya beef bowl, but because of the circumstances, it tasted even better than usual.

Had dinner at Yoshinoya. The topping of extra meat was half price, so I ordered it without hesitation. I usually eat rice with just a little meat, but today I could afford to be extravagant. It was delicious. I will definitely go back during this promotion. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I had the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" at Yoshinoya, and this time I wanted to try the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" so I went to a different store. I went to a restaurant in the Umeda dining area near Osaka Station. This time, I ordered the large size because the rice refill was free for 24 hours. After a while, the food arrived - "Teppan Gyukarubi," special sauce, salad, mayonnaise, miso soup, and rice. There are a few differences between the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" and the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku." First, the type of beef is different. The "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" uses special karubi beef, while the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" uses thinly sliced beef like gyudon. Second, the presence of onions. The "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" does not have onions, but the "Teppan Gyukarubi Teishoku" does. I personally like the amount of onions in the dish. The beef and onions are grilled on an iron plate and heated with solid fuel, causing the oil to splatter. Then, the sauce is poured over and mixed well. It's better to wait a bit for the meat to cook before eating. The meat was juicy and delicious, especially with a slightly burnt edge. The dish was enjoyable with the added kick of shichimi. I savored the hot beef until the end. It was quite good and delicious.

Located in the New Umeda Dining Street under the JR elevated tracks in Umeda.
▼About the Shop▼
Yoshinoya was founded in 1899 at the fish market in Nihonbashi. The first store was relocated when the fish market moved to Tsukiji. In the 1970s, they started expanding as a chain and overcame challenges like filing for corporate reorganization, becoming one of the largest beef bowl chains nationwide. Hanamaru Udon and Peter Pan are also under the Yoshinoya umbrella.
▼Menu▼
They offer dishes such as beef bowls, beef and salmon set meals, and curry. For more details, please visit their website.

▽Morning Beef Set, Small Size 499 yen
▽(March 2023) A set that includes a regular-sized beef bowl, miso soup, and half-cooked egg. The beef bowl is a simple type with thinly sliced beef and onions, making it easy to eat. The delicate thinness of the beef belly blends well with the umami from the beef and onions into the soy-based sauce, creating a subtly delicious flavor that goes well with the rice. Adding the half-cooked egg creates a milder taste and pairs nicely with the beef. The miso soup has a simple flavor that is neither outstanding nor disappointing.

(March 2023) As one of the largest beef bowl chains in Japan, Yoshinoya is a long-established chain that was founded in 1899 at the fish market in Nihonbashi. They expanded as a chain in the 1970s and became a nationwide chain. Hanamaru Udon is currently operating under Yoshinoya. This branch in New Umeda Dining Street is located in the dining area near Hankyu Umeda Station. I visited for breakfast before heading out on the Hankyu train. The simple beef bowl set with miso soup and half-cooked egg allowed me to enjoy the combination of the beef bowl and the egg, while the simple miso soup was quite good. I often have breakfast outings lately, so I would like to visit again during lunchtime or another time.

At the western end of the Shin Umeda Food Street is Yoshinoya. When you only have 30 minutes for dinner, such as at 6:00 pm. The corner in front is available! The seats are fixed round chairs, with no coat hangers, and the space is divided by acrylic partitions making it super narrow. But the corner allows you to place your belongings and coat on the adjacent round chair! There is a shelf, but you can only place your wallet on it. It's not very women-friendly, but in winter they have sukiyaki hot pot. They have more vegetables than other rival chains. There is plenty of meat, and it comes out bubbling in the hot pot. The Beef Sukiyaki Set (with extra meat) costs 877 yen including tax. The rice comes in a large portion for free, but it's already quite generous. It arrives in about 3 minutes. The plentiful beef is simmering away. It's great that it comes out in a hot pot. Dip the beef in beaten egg and it's sweet and delicious (^-^) There are cabbage, green onions, onions, carrots, tofu, and udon noodles. They say you can get half of your daily vegetable intake from this dish. Even with the large portion, it's under 900 yen. It's satisfying when you order 1.5 times the normal amount. The restaurant filled up as I was eating. The ratio of men to women was 9 to 1. One out of three people ordered the Beef Sukiyaki Set (^-^) The young man in his twenties next to me was eating a set meal with two plates of meat, but every time he asked for a refill of water, he would say "thank you" each time, which was nice to see. It was very good amidst the silence in the beef bowl restaurant.

Hello~ I found a long-term job in front of Akashi Station. I took the Osaka Metro to Higashi Umeda and then caught the JR New Rapid Service. Before boarding the JR train, I had breakfast at Yoshinoya in the Shin Umeda dining district for the first time in a while. I had a regular beef bowl with extra sauce. The place was really crowded with customers, giving off a nostalgic Yoshinoya vibe with the old panels still intact. Despite being busy, the staff was very polite and friendly. After devouring the beef bowl, I headed to Akashi. They gave me a coupon, offering a 200 yen discount, limited to the same day. There's also a Yoshinoya at Akashi Station, so it's only natural that I'll have lunch there too! Even though I've never had lunch there before, I decided to try it. Sukiyaki? Well, I'm not a fan of sukiyaki (laughs). I went for the neki shio gyu karubi don, which had a refreshing taste with a hint of lemon. It was delicious! I wish I could add more lemon, but they didn't have any. It's a bit of a pushy coupon, but I'm grateful for it (laughs). Thank you for the meal~

I got off at Osaka Station on my way to Tokyo for a rugby match and stopped for breakfast. I customized the Natto Beef Small Plate Set for 437 yen into a Beef Natto Red Ginger Bowl Set. Why does red ginger go so well with beef bowls? The combination of slightly large natto, beef bowl, and red ginger is wonderful. The miso soup has a nice aroma of seaweed, and it's great that a salad is included. The place is bustling with customers drinking in the morning and others like me having breakfast. It was a delightful meal.

Today I had a business exhibition at OMM again. I needed a hearty breakfast before starting work, but there weren't many options near OMM, so I decided to have breakfast in Umeda. I went to Yoshinoya around 6:50 am. The place was about 80% full. It seems like everyone loves Yoshinoya. I found a seat and checked the menu. Since I probably won't have time for lunch today, I decided to go all out. I was tempted by the new Beef Curry with 2.5 times the onions. I ordered it with extra rice. The dish arrived in about 3 minutes. It was the Beef Curry with extra rice! It was a generous portion. The curry was mild and creamy with a rich flavor. The beef was the same as the beef in their beef bowls, with a sweet and savory taste that paired well with the curry. It was a unique curry that you can only find at a beef bowl restaurant. The extra rice made it quite filling. I finished it all and felt really full. Let's do our best today. Thank you for the meal.

During my morning commute, I suddenly felt hungry... I decided to grab breakfast on the way, so I found myself drawn to Yoshinoya in the Shin-Umeda food court. I arrived around 8:30 AM and the place was about 80% full. It had been a while since I last had breakfast at Yoshinoya, so I checked out the menu. Since I was here in the morning, I thought I should try their breakfast set. Among the various options, I chose the Morning Beef Set this time. I upgraded the side dish to a soft-boiled egg and got a regular-sized beef bowl. In about 3 minutes, my order arrived. I topped the beef bowl with the soft-boiled egg, added some pickled ginger and shichimi pepper, and I was ready to dig in. The taste was just as good as I remembered. Yoshinoya's beef bowl never disappoints. I finished it in about 5 minutes. It's amazing how you can get so full for just around 500 yen. Now, off to work. Thanks for the meal.

There was still a foreign store clerk who I wish would disappear quickly. They forgot the dressing. LIZAP beef salad with natto, kimchi, grated yam.

I visited this restaurant "Yoshinoya Shin-Umeda Shokudogai Store" for the first time after watching a soccer game in Osaka and stopping by Umeda. It had been a while since I last visited a Yoshinoya as recently I had only been going to Matsuya or Sukiya for my beef bowl fix. I visited on a Monday night after the game, around 10 pm, and was able to enter smoothly without much of a wait. The entrance and exit of the store are not the same, which was a bit inconvenient. For my order, I chose the Gyudon Mugi-Toro set meal with a draft beer. The Gyudon Mugi-Toro was delicious with the slimy combination of nagaimo and okra, which paired perfectly with the beef bowl as always. However, the draft beer was forgotten or delayed as it arrived when I was almost done with my meal, which was a bit disappointing. The staff seemed quite busy, so I understand the delay. If I have the chance, I would visit another Yoshinoya branch in the future!

When you don't have much time in the Nakazaki Nishi area, Yoshinoya is a convenient choice for a quick lunch. I hadn't been there in 7 months, but recently decided to go for the "Gyudon Atama no Oomori" (extra-large beef bowl). I like to keep it simple with just the beef and rice, skipping the red ginger and shichimi spice. The beef is generously portioned, allowing you to enjoy it without worrying about the balance. The taste is so satisfying and familiar, it's no wonder I suddenly craved it after so long. The staff at this location are friendly and make the experience pleasant, even when it's busy. This review is my first for the Nakazaki Nishi area since the Tenjin store, and Yoshinoya remains the ultimate standard for me.

I still have an age where I can eat a lot from morning. I had the morning set at Yoshinoya this morning. It's delicious, but I think it's a bit too much, making me feel my age. But I keep eating with my chopsticks. Before I knew it, I finished it. I realized that I end up eating too much like this. The challenge is how to control myself when ordering.
