I went out with my drinking buddy H to a place near Nishitetsu Ohashi Station called "Torijiro" because I wanted to try their chicken hot pot. It seemed like a chain restaurant. We decided to go for the all-you-can-drink option (1500 yen). I started with a lemon sour drink. As a complimentary dish, a huge pile of cabbage was served, which was quite a lot. For our main dish, we ordered: - Chicken hot pot for two Instead of Chinese cabbage, cabbage was served. There were no carrots or chestnuts. The ingredients included tofu, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, chicken meatballs, and chicken thighs. The meat was cooked in a clear soup and served when ready. You can choose to cook the vegetables as you like. We also ordered yakitori: - Chicken wings - Pork belly - Chicken breast - Chicken skin, and more. The chicken wings for 90 yen were cheap. There was a 50-inch TV at the back table. If you're dining alone, you might end up at the counter and not be able to watch it. I think I could have skipped the hot pot and just enjoyed the yakitori. It was a delicious meal.
