This is a seafood restaurant on the second floor of the Hakata Street Fish Market. It is usually open for lunch only, but on Fridays and Saturdays, they also open for dinner. The menu is filled with a variety of seafood dishes. It is like a market cafeteria. Start by enjoying some sashimi with a beer, then move on to simmered fish and finish with a delicious sea bream rice ball. This is a recommended restaurant for those who love eating fish.

Visited for lunch on the midsummer day of the ox. Although tempted by the eel, I decided to save it for dinner and ordered the seafood bowl and sesame mackerel. The seafood bowl had fresh ingredients and came with extras like chawanmushi, making it a great value. The sesame mackerel, a house brand, was also of high quality. I heard they only serve eel on Fridays and Saturdays, so I'll look forward to that next time. This place is now on my list for when I crave fish during lunchtime.

It was our first visit as a family because it was said to be cost-effective. It is located on the second floor of a fish market, with many table seats and a spacious high ceiling. We ordered the limited special item, the "Gokumori Maguro Morimori Don" (1,300 yen). It was a bit crowded, so we waited for about 15 minutes, but for this price, it was a bargain as it came with chawanmushi, miso soup, small dishes, and pickles. Just as it was reputed, the volume of the toppings was enough to make the rice run out.

Ordered the premium seafood bowl. It cost 2200 yen including tax. Wow, I'm impressed. I've had seafood bowls in various places before, like in Hokkaido's markets, Kanazawa, and Itoshima, but compared to those, this place is amazing. With a fish market on the first floor, the seafood here is incredibly fresh and the amount of fish is no joke. The white fish was firm, and the freshness of the sea urchin was outstanding. It was so much that I won't feel like eating sashimi for a while. The place wasn't crowded, so it's a hidden gem. Next time, I'll go for a regular seafood bowl!

For my first meal in Fukuoka, I had lunch at Ichiban Shokudo. I ordered the exquisite seafood bowl and was surprised when it was brought to me - a mountain of sashimi with my favorites like sea urchin, salmon roe, shrimp, and fatty tuna! It was the most delicious seafood bowl I've ever had (*^^*). Note: The restaurant was cold, but they lent me a blanket, so my rating went from 4 to 4.5 because of that.

(2022.09.04) Near the Nishijin Shotengai, there is a live fish center called "Hakata Kaido Fish Market" on the second floor, where an izakaya has been serving lunch since March this year... I had the opportunity to visit and enjoy the seafood bowls made with fresh fish from the first floor at a reasonable price. It used to be a dining bar called "ROUTE263" along National Route 263, but it seems to have transformed into a seafood-focused "Market Dining" about two years ago, and has been serving lunch since March this year, making it more accessible. As I climbed the outdoor stairs to the second floor, I was surprised by how spacious it was, with decorations resembling large fishing flags on the walls creating a lively atmosphere. The lunch menu showcases the determination of the fishmonger with the "Market Seafood Bowl," which includes live mackerel, sea urchin, salmon roe, shrimp, and tuna, as well as the ultimate luxury "Premium Seafood Bowl" with premium tuna, both served with tempura. Although there were tempting options like the "Tuna Assortment Bowl" and the "Generous Bowl," I opted for the "Generous Bowl" as it was a limited-time special today. Despite the small cuts, I could taste the richness and umami in the lean meat, as well as the melting sweetness and smooth texture in the part that resembled medium fatty tuna. Unlike many restaurants where you have to consider the balance to avoid leftovers, here you can enjoy a generous serving of toppings to ensure that no fish goes to waste.

First of all, I was surprised by the drink I ordered, which was bone sake. It was served in a large red cup the size of a face, with a heated sea bream head inside. From the recommended menu, I also ordered raw conger eel sashimi, tuna sashimi, black tuna steak, today's simmered fish (black porgy), and rice balls. The sashimi and other fish were all fresh and delicious. It's a pub located on the second floor of a fish market, and I can see why. Not to mention, the prices for such fresh and delicious dishes were reasonable. I definitely want to come back to this place.

This is a seafood izakaya located in the Nishijin area of Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, directly managed by the fresh fish store "Hakata Kaido Uoichi". The first floor is a fresh fish store with a fish tank where you can buy fish at a very reasonable price. Personally, I find the portions too large for one person, so I haven't bought anything there yet. The second floor operates only in the evening as an izakaya. The area enclosed by vinyl sheets used to be an oyster hut, but it is currently not in use. The izakaya is for adults who can drink alcohol. The manager is very friendly. There are counter seats as well as large tables suitable for groups. During my visit, there was a seafood hotpot party with a table full of office workers next to us. There is no "sashimi assortment" on the menu, but individual sashimi items are reasonably priced. Prices start from 300 yen to 380 yen, with the most expensive being the fatty tuna sashimi at 480 yen. During my visit, there was a 2-hour and a half all-you-can-drink menu for 2,000 yen, so we ordered that. The drinks are self-service, so you can make your own drinks like whiskey on the rocks, highball, or hot water. The highball I made was strong. We also ordered grilled fatty salmon, boiled fish head, and Thai fish, all of which were delicious. The menu is listed below.

I stumbled upon this place while taking a walk with my wife, and ended up being drawn in. I ordered the seafood bowl and tempura set, which was quite a large portion. After finishing it, I felt a bit of regret. Even without the set, it comes with miso soup, side dishes, etc., so the amount is sufficient. As it is a market eatery, the fish is fresh and the atmosphere is quite nice. The place was bustling with customers. Of course, the taste was excellent!

I was undecided but ended up choosing the live seafood bowl. It took a bit of time from ordering to preparation, but it was really delicious. However, I like to enjoy a variety of seafood in my bowl, so next time I will go for a regular seafood bowl.

I forgot to take a photo. It was Saturday, so the place was packed with customers! The age group seemed a bit older... Smoking was allowed, so there were a lot of smokers inside! The prices were high, but the portions were large, so it's recommended for groups of people. It wasn't really suitable for us as we were just two people... The smell of cigarettes was also a turn-off for me.

The concept is a "popular tavern". It is a seafood izakaya operated by "Hakata Kaido Uoichi", a fresh seafood store where you can buy fresh seafood at wholesale prices. The building has the seafood store on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor. The entrance guide indicated that minors and children are not allowed to enter, and it is preferable for those who can drink alcohol to enter as it is a "tavern". Located in Nishijin residential area, it is a rare adult-oriented establishment. The interior is decorated in an American casual style. It quickly became almost full after we entered, creating a lively atmosphere of a popular tavern. There are counter seats with TVs as well, suitable for solo diners. Today is a gathering of yoga friends at Nishijin. We toasted to my late arrival and enjoyed ice-cold draft beer. Since it is a seafood izakaya operated by a seafood store, we have high expectations for the fish dishes. The sashimi menu is also extensive, with single item dishes being reasonably priced. The recommended menu for the day was also appealing. The fatty tuna sashimi for 480 yen is a great deal. The quantity was just right for three people. It also came with plenty of fresh wakame seaweed. The sesame mackerel for 380 yen was also just the right amount for three people, with a good seasoning. The members today are quite heavy drinkers. We had plenty of draft beer and highballs. After multiple refills of draft beer, a regular customer started drinking sake, which costs only 350 yen for a 180ml serving (cold or warm). The style of having the staff pour it into a large red cup was enjoyable! I decided to switch from highball to cold sake as well. The grand menu is quite extensive, with a variety of dishes besides seafood. The oyster fry for 580 yen with plenty of tartar sauce was delicious. The oysters at this time of year are probably frozen, but during the winter, the terrace seats turn into an oyster hut. *Closed in the summer. It's nice that you can order a variety of izakaya dishes. The octopus and taro stew for 580 yen was tender and flavorful. The quantity was quite generous. The simmered red snapper for 680 yen had a thick and rich flavor typical of a popular tavern stew. I ended up quite drunk this day, enjoying high-quality sake and dishes. Thank you for the meal♪ For the second round, we changed the atmosphere completely and enjoyed cocktails at a quiet bar on Nishijin Orange Street.

I heard it was cheap and delicious, so I was taken there. As you can see from the menu, there is a wide selection of fish dishes. There is a variety of sashimi and fried dishes available. Although it's tempting to order a sashimi platter, they don't offer one. It might be better to order everything since the prices are so affordable. The fatty tuna is only 480 yen!! You won't find such a reasonable price easily. The thick seaweed served with sashimi is also delicious! I was thinking of asking where it was from, but I forgot. They also have a good selection of whale dishes, which is a pleasant surprise. It's recommended for tourists from other prefectures to enjoy the local flavor by using the local "Yamataka soy sauce". They also have a variety of drinks, including tequila shots, so you can have a good time getting tipsy!

This is a shop located a little off the main street from Nishijin. The first floor is a fish market selling fresh fish every day. They have a wide variety of fish available. The restaurant on the second floor offers various dishes such as sashimi, boiled, fried, and grilled fish. The interior has a casual bar-like atmosphere with many table seats, making it a lively place to drink. The standard sashimi like squid, salmon, mackerel, turban shell, and sardine are around 300 yen. Although they are small portions, there are many pieces, so the price is reasonable. The sashimi was fresh and did not have any fishy smell. Rare fish are also available at a low price. It's nice to be able to try a variety of fish in small portions. However, they only have sweet soy sauce typical of Kyushu, and as someone who prefers a sharp, less sweet soy sauce, that was a downside for me. It's a common thing unique to the region, right!

Introducing the izakaya restaurant "IZAKAYADINING ROUTE 263" located straight ahead from the Wakiyamaguchi in Nishishin, Sawara-ku. The first floor of the restaurant is a fresh fish store, so the seafood is fresh and delicious! The restaurant has a flashy appearance, making it easy to spot. Go up the stairs to the right of the fish store, and the restaurant is on the left side. Inside, there is a separate area with an oyster hut-like atmosphere, several 4-person tables, and a long table where large groups can sit together. The interior is quite spacious and has a Hard Rock Cafe-like vibe. This time, we opted for the 3500 yen course with all-you-can-drink. The dishes included octopus vinegar, fresh sashimi, fugu tempura, seared bacon, grilled oysters & scallops, and octopus ajillo. The drinks are served in glasses larger than what you would typically find at a regular izakaya, so first-time visitors will surely be surprised. The menu included draft beer, octopus vinegar, fresh sashimi, seaweed, fugu tempura, seared bacon, octopus ajillo, and grilled scallops & oysters. The seaweed was particularly fresh and delicious.

The taste, portion size, and price were good. However, there was an unpleasant incident during payment, so please be more careful in the future to avoid such situations. The pre-made sashimi was fresh and did not disappoint. The paella could use a bit more flavor. It would be appreciated if the service could improve a little. During payment, it would be better to receive a detailed receipt showing what was eaten and drunk, not just the total amount.

I was taken to this restaurant by a colleague, and I was shocked when I saw the sashimi platter that came out... (>_<) It was piled high with fresh sashimi like abalone, fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, salmon, flounder, shrimp, and sea bream. There was so much seafood, it felt like a New Year's feast! The beer was huge, and the sake was delicious. I think the cost performance is the best. I had only been to cheaper fish restaurants before, but from now on, I'll be going to the second floor!!
