It's morning in Hakodate! The weather is nice♪ I enjoyed a relaxing hot spring bath on the 13th floor observation open-air bath! It was absolutely amazing! After a leisurely time, I headed to the breakfast venue for today, "Kitano Banya." Just for reference, the cost for a Deluxe Twin Room with 1 night stay and 2 meals included was 16,250 yen per person including tax. The dinner last night cost 8,800 yen including tax, and I'm not sure about the breakfast cost, but I assume it might be around 2,750 yen including tax. So, I think I got a great deal for my stay♪ Upon entering the venue, the staff guided me to my table. I had the best seat by the window where I could have a perfect view of Mount Hakodate while having my meal♪ It was a buffet-style breakfast, so I lined up to choose what I wanted to eat. The must-try is definitely the seafood bowl where you can pile up as much salmon roe as you want! Don't hesitate to load it up! It's a dream come true to have so much of it here! Also, I recommend the squid rice, milk, and other side dishes. They may not stand out, but they are delicious♪ Is it okay to eat so much in the morning... (laughs) After eating to my heart's content and heading back to my room, I made some drip coffee at the elevator and took it back with me! The coffee was also quite good♪ As a regular visitor to Hakodate, I leisurely checked out until 11 AM this time! I left my heavy luggage at the front desk, and explored places like Kanemori Warehouse and Motomachi until my Shinkansen departure time! I had a wonderful day! Thank you very much to La Vista Hakodate Bay♪ <(_ _)>

The breakfast restaurant inside the Lapista Hakodate is a must-try for travel YouTubers. Many of them have uploaded videos of the breakfast at this hotel. It was the main reason for visiting Hokkaido this time. You can freely make your own seafood bowl for breakfast. And the ingredients provided for the first and second night are different. I ate so much that I couldn't move until noon. By the way, there is a line starting from 7:30 in the morning, so it's better to go at a different time.

Hokkaido Travel - Hakodate Edition, breakfast on the second day. We stayed at the La Vista Hakodate Bay Hotel and were warned by our friends in advance, "Don't be late for breakfast!!" The restaurant opened at 6:30 am, so we arrived at the entrance 5 minutes early. There was already a long line. Luckily, our friends who arrived early saved us a seat, so we quickly entered the buffet area. The variety of dishes seemed impossible to try them all. The specialty was a make-your-own seafood bowl with plenty of salmon roe. In hindsight, skipping the ramen from the night before and going with a bigger appetite might have been better (^O^)☆ For more details, check out this blog: https://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/shimayablog/diary/

This is the breakfast-only restaurant at the popular hotel "La Vista Hakodate Bay" in Hakodate. The breakfast at La Vista Hakodate is very popular, and many tourists choose this hotel for breakfast. Therefore, breakfast is limited to hotel guests only and cannot be used by non-guests. Detailed reviews of the hotel can be found on "La Vista Hakodate Bay". The breakfast at this restaurant has been highly praised in various media, so reservations for accommodation need to be made well in advance. In front of Hakodate Station, there is a famous morning market where you can enjoy seafood bowls from early in the morning, but some people think that it has become too touristy and prices are high. If you are going to eat seafood bowls at the Hakodate morning market, you will be much more satisfied by having breakfast at this restaurant. The sashimi corner is very popular. It may seem strange to have sashimi for breakfast, but there is all-you-can-eat sweet shrimp, salmon roe, squid, tuna, and cod roe. It's sad that scallops have disappeared from the breakfast buffet due to high prices, but I think you can be quite satisfied with the sashimi corner. The "Hokkaido Ban'ya Special Rich Pudding" dessert is delicious. There is also a robatayaki corner and Hokkaido specialty soup curry. What travelers seek in Hakodate is condensed in the breakfast buffet. On the other hand, the juice, salad, bread, Western side dishes, and desserts are quite substantial. The restaurant is very spacious, but it gets quite crowded in the morning due to the large number of hotel rooms. Since reservations are not possible, it is recommended to visit after 9 a.m. if you want to eat slowly. Even if you go later, everything is replenished properly, so it's okay. I tend to overeat without realizing it...

Hakodate's breakfast is the best. You can eat plenty of seafood from the morning. There is no greater happiness than this. I ate so much in the morning in such a great environment, now my stomach is full and I can't move. Everything tastes delicious no matter what you eat. The atmosphere changes everything. My energy level is at its max since the morning. But I'm worried if I can move today. But it's so delicious, so I'll just eat it. Thank you for the meal.

In this area, there are many hotels famous for their breakfast, and it feels like they have been striving to improve their level. After all, the ingredients from Hokkaido and Hakodate are top-notch. Unfortunately, I was hungover and couldn't fully enjoy everything. I couldn't eat much, but the self-served seafood bowl, ramen salad, and omelette made at the live kitchen were popular and understandable. With so many menu options, it's easy to overeat. The only downside was the long lines. We waited for over 30 minutes. It might be better to set specific time slots in advance. Overall, it was delicious.

Rivista's breakfast. Second time in a few years. Still a long wait as usual. But now you can see the congestion from your room. Convenient. Hmm, did the seafood toppings decrease from before? Or is it just my imagination... The beef stew was surprisingly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

December 28, 2022 (Wednesday) 9:30 This is the famous breakfast at La Vista Hakodate Bay, which needs no introduction. This time, we stayed on a short stay plan, so we checked out of the hotel and decided to have breakfast here. It's great that we can do that, right? The taste is truly outstanding. Both the Japanese and Western dishes are excellent. The specialty seafood bowl is amazing, and surprisingly, the hamburger is delicious too. My wife's favorite is the homemade pudding. My wife and our third son are very satisfied! Let's come back here to stay if we find another affordable plan next time.

【Date】Visited on Sunday at 7:00 with 2 people. 【Reservation】Waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. It's recommended to come early as more people arrived later. You can check the congestion status on the TV in the room! 【Location】Inside La Vista Hakodate Bay. 【Interior】Tables. The large windows offer a view of the red brick warehouses, the sea, and the mountains, creating a sense of openness. 【Order】Buffet style with a variety of choices. Started with a seafood bowl! There are different sizes of bowls, so you can choose according to your appetite. On this day, there were salmon, ikura, shrimp, tuna sashimi, and squid, but personally, I recommend the salmon and ikura! The salmon was refreshing without too much fat. For the grilled dishes, there were scallops, salmon, mackerel, and vegetables. The scallops were large and delicious. The salmon had a bit less salt, making it slightly unsatisfying. The mackerel was rich in fat and umami. The Western menu items were also delicious, especially the hamburger steak! It goes well with demi-glace sauce. The dessert, pudding, was creamy and delicious. Thank you for the meal! 【Service】The staff were efficient and friendly. 【Final Thoughts】Highly recommend the seafood bowl, grilled dishes, and demi-glace hamburger steak!

Breakfast in Hakodate starts at "Kitano Baya". We went aiming for the famous seafood bowl. There was a long line even early in the morning. If you don't line up before the opening, you might have to wait for a seat even after they open. We were a little late, but we managed to join the first group. This restaurant has a wide variety of menu items besides the seafood bowl. There are also various desserts to enjoy. You probably can't finish everything in one breakfast. The seafood bowl with unlimited salmon roe is amazing. The grains are small, but the flavor is top quality Hokkaido. Just this alone makes you happy. We filled our stomachs and got energized. The journey in Hokkaido continues. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the 2nd floor of La Vista Hakodate Bay. I stayed with breakfast included, and the breakfast venue was this restaurant. Hello (^o^)/ I left the choice of Hakodate accommodation to others, and I booked La Vista Hakodate Bay, known for its delicious breakfast, suitable for a gourmet tour within budget (just me?). The hotel's ranking for delicious breakfast last year in 2021 unfortunately relinquished the top spot to other Hakodate hotels and fell to 7th place nationwide, but its popularity remains unchanged. It was smoother to enter and there was more space at the tables compared to when I went alone before the pandemic. I was looking forward to the seafood bowl (*´∀`). Being generously topped with salmon roe with a ladle feels like being in a dream world (*´艸) Let's forget about cholesterol (^_^;) There is also squid sashimi and sweet shrimp. The miso soup with plenty of scallop adductor muscles, steamed vegetables, and other Hokkaido specialties can be enjoyed. My stomach is not satisfied ( ´△`) The dessert corner offers soft serve ice cream and rich pudding. Both the staff and the atmosphere are delightful. It was good. Ho (*´∀`*) Thank you for the meal ゚+.゚(*´∀`)b゚+.゚ (Review rating ★3.38)

On the second day of my trip to Hakodate, I had breakfast at La Vista Hakodate Bay, which I had been interested in for a while. The breakfast was included in the plan I booked, which cost around 20,000 yen for one night for two people. The line for breakfast was long due to the popularity of the place, but we were smoothly seated and went to get the food. There was a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes prepared, with a menu for the day as well. The highlight was the seafood bowl, where you could choose your favorite sashimi to put in the bowl, and the best part was that you could heap as much salmon roe as you wanted. The quality of the other sashimi was just average, not exceptional. The setup for the seafood bowl was great, with two separate stations for different types of sashimi, making it easy to create your bowl. There were also Hokkaido specialties like robatayaki, soup curry, and Genghis Khan. The omelette was made right in front of us, but I only picked the ones that caught my eye due to still feeling full from the previous day. The scallops were a standout, with a whole shell served as a generous portion. The soup curry was a bit disappointing as the ingredients had cooled down and sunk, making it hard to get a good picture. Overall, while the seafood bowl was delicious with the salmon roe and squid being the best parts, not every item on the menu was exceptional. It may not be the best in Japan, but it was tasty, and I would like to try it again on an empty stomach.

I stayed at Hotel La Vista Hakodate Bay in Hakodate and had breakfast at "Kita no Banya" on the 2nd floor. This breakfast has been ranked first in the "Delicious Hotel Breakfast Ranking" twice, boasting enduring popularity. The highlight is definitely the seafood bowl. Tuna, squid, sweet shrimp, salmon, and salmon roe are lined up like jewels, and you can create your own seafood bowl with your favorite toppings. The quality of the ingredients is high and fresh. What's great is that there are two stations to make the seafood bowl, so there is not much of a line. The breakfast spread also includes a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, including grilled Hokkaido vegetables and soup curry. The desserts were also satisfying. Every dish was delicious without any flaws, and I truly appreciated the effort that must have gone into preparing such a variety of dishes at this quality. In terms of COVID-19 precautions, guests were required to wear masks and use plastic bags when getting food from the buffet, which made me feel safe. I enjoyed it so much that I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I made a reservation to stay at a hotel famous for breakfast on a business trip to Hakodate. Last night's dinner was at the best sushi restaurant in Hakodate. I enjoyed an early morning soak in the rooftop hot spring and strolled through the Hakodate morning market before breakfast. Due to the coronavirus, the morning market was quiet and the calls to attract customers felt a bit sad. On the other hand, the breakfast venue was lively with a buffet, and the highlight was the unlimited ikura (salmon roe). You can eat all the Hokkaido seafood you want. White rice with ikura, seafood, and miso soup, that alone was satisfying enough. Truly understanding the hearts of the common people, it was a great experience at Hotel Vista. Overlooking Hakodate Bay from the rooftop hot spring and unlimited ikura. The location is Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. Clarity is the most important thing.

Many people staying at LA VISTA Hakodate Bay are likely drawn to the breakfast at Hanaya. When I arrived at the dining area at opening time, there was already a line forming. I was seated first and was surprised to see a drink menu that included alcohol. I ordered the "Daiginjo" (330 yen). Next, I lined up for the donburi. I chose the "normal" size with extra ikura. The rice was completely covered with generous portions of ikura. For sashimi, I picked "amaebi," "squid," and "trout salmon." The grilled items included "squid poppo-yaki," "salmon," "Sakhalin surf smelt," and broccoli. I also got "meat and potatoes," salad, and scallop miso soup. Back at my seat, the Daiginjo sake was promptly served. It was a 100ml serving, more like an aperitif. Following my own rule, I started with the grilled items. It had been a long time since I had squid prepared this way, and it was delicious. Everything else was also tasty. The donburi felt like a topping of ikura on rice. The amaebi was small, and the trout salmon was average. The soy sauce-marinated ikura was rich and delicious, with plenty to enjoy until the end. The scallop miso soup was a first for me and I found it interesting and enjoyable. For dessert, the standard options were yogurt and coffee, but I couldn't resist adding the "Thick Pudding made with Hakodate Milk." I also added Hakodate milk to my coffee, creating a cafe au lait style drink. The pudding was indeed thick and delicious, and the cafe au lait had a nice milky flavor. It was a delightful meal.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, if you stay in Hakodate, it's either Yunokawa Onsen or La Vista. For breakfast on the second day, I went to La Vista Hakodate Bay. Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, breakfast is now served on plates instead of buffet style. However, the staff will plate the food for you, so you can have multiple servings. They have increased the number of individually plated items with lids or wraps. I felt that they were making efforts to provide a delicious breakfast buffet in a safe and enjoyable way. The "unlimited salmon roe" was a dream come true. The staff generously piled it on for me. The bath was also very good! The view was amazing! The view of Hakodate from the room is breathtaking. Despite the pandemic, it was almost fully booked due to Christmas.

The breakfast at the Ravisuta Bay Hotel, known for being able to make your own bowl and being delicious, is truly the best! You can have unlimited refills, and the ikura (salmon roe) and nametara (raw cod) are particularly delicious. The dessert selection is also great, with soft serve ice cream, dorayaki, and especially recommended smooth pudding. I definitely want to come back again.

This is a popular breakfast restaurant at the popular hotel "La Vista Hakodate Bay" in Hakodate. While at other La Vista hotels, non-guests can pay to have breakfast, the breakfast at La Vista Hakodate is very popular and therefore limited to hotel guests only. Non-guests cannot use it. Reviews for the hotel are posted on "La Vista Hakodate Bay". The breakfast has been highly praised in various media, and depending on the time of stay, reservations need to be made well in advance. In front of Hakodate Station, there is a morning market where you can enjoy seafood bowls from the morning, but it has become completely touristy, and there are voices of dissatisfaction with being charged high prices. Instead of having a seafood bowl at the Hakodate morning market, I think you would be much more satisfied eating at this restaurant for breakfast (although there are good shops in the morning market as well). First of all, you will be amazed by the high quality of the sashimi corner. There are only four types, but the scallops, sweet shrimp, salmon roe, and squid are of high quality, and the sashimi corner is surprisingly high level for an all-you-can-eat sashimi. Recently, there are not many hotels that serve sashimi in a "kettledon" for breakfast, but in many cases, the quality is not there. The sashimi level at this restaurant is just amazing for all four types. The salmon roe is not too salty, and the scallops have the original scent of scallops. The sweet shrimp also has a strong sweetness. The "Hakodate milk yogurt" for dessert leaves a lasting impression of deliciousness. Furthermore, the robatayaki corner is also fulfilling. What travelers seek in "Hakodate" is condensed in the breakfast buffet. The impressively high level of sashimi makes this buffet stand out. La Vista also stayed at La Vista Kushiro River, and I reviewed it with a 3.9 rating, but I felt that the seafood level was higher here. With the rising prices of seafood, maintaining this level is difficult. I support them. If you stay in Hakodate, this is the best breakfast spot.

I stayed at the La Vista Hakodate Bay during my trip to Hakodate. This was my second time staying here. I remember being very happy when I had seafood bowl for breakfast during my previous visit to Hakodate. I could choose my favorite seafood toppings for the bowl, and it was a delightful experience to enjoy it while looking at Mount Hakodate. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, all of which were delicious. This time, it had been 10 years since my last visit, and the hotel seemed to be quite crowded, probably due to its popularity. Although I didn't get a seat with a view of Mount Hakodate this time, I was still satisfied with the quality of the buffet. I arrived before 9 am, as I was told that around 8 am is the busiest time, but it wasn't too crowded at that time. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their breakfast leisurely. The seafood bowl had toppings like sweet shrimp, salmon roe, squid, salmon, and green onion with minced tuna. The grilled squid was also tender and delicious. The desserts were luxurious, in collaboration with Hanabatake Farm. Pound cake, cheesecake, Mont Blanc, egg tart - all were delicious. The breakfast here is definitely popular for a reason. Despite showing some signs of aging after 10 years, I would love to stay here again just for the breakfast. Visit date: December 20, 2018.

The morning of the 3rd day at "La Vista Hakodate Bay" has dawned~♪ I woke up before 6 o'clock and headed straight to the 13th floor natural hot spring "Kaikyo no Yu" just as the sun was rising. It was quite chilly last night, but today the temperature is expected to rise to 23°C, with perfect weather. When I returned to my room, the morning sun was shining beautifully on Mt. Hakodate! I hurried to the hotel's 2nd floor breakfast venue, "Kitano Banya," which was ranked 1st in Hokkaido (2nd nationwide) in the 2017 TripAdvisor "Best Hotel Breakfast" ranking. However, there were already dozens of early birds eagerly getting their breakfast, so I quickly secured a window table overlooking Mt. Hakodate. The breakfast buffet included a variety of dishes such as Hokkaido milk lactic acid bacteria drink, Hokkaido salmon roe bowl, Alaskan salmon roe bowl, grilled fish, simmered dishes, miso soup with Hokkaido venison meatballs, salmon sanpeijiru, salads, and more. I first poured myself a glass of the Hokkaido limited lactic acid bacteria drink "Katsugen" and rich "Hakodate milk" from the drink corner. Then, I grabbed two small bowls, filled them with rice, and topped them with various seafood from the sashimi corner to create my own seafood bowls. I went back and forth to different corners, picking up grilled fish, simmered dishes, soup, and salad. After enjoying the delicious breakfast, I sadly had to skip dessert as I was too full. I made myself a matcha latte to-go at the exit and headed towards the Hakodate Morning Market, 1km away. Bon appétit!

I was looking forward to it. (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) This time, I stayed at "La Vista Hakodate Bay," which is known as a popular hotel for breakfast. Although it was not perfect due to the pandemic, I thoroughly enjoyed it. "La Vista Hakodate Bay North Banya" (LAVISTA Hakodate Bay) ■ Japan's Best Breakfast ■ The breakfast at "La Vista Hakodate Bay" is known for its high user satisfaction, being ranked first in Japan in 2011 and 2012, and second in 2016, in the "Best Hotel Breakfast Ranking" surveyed by the review & ranking site "Tripadvisor." (By the way, it was ranked 3rd in 2020) ↑ Now, let's eat! (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) ■ North Banya ■ Breakfast is a privilege for guests in a buffet-style. You can enjoy Hokkaido's ingredients to your heart's content in an area on the 2nd floor of the hotel called "North Banya," which is designed like a fisherman's hut. ■ Paradise from the Morning ■ In the breakfast venue "North Banya," there is a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes using Hokkaido's ingredients. Freshly grilled seafood, seasonal vegetable salads, stir-fries, and other healthy options are plentiful! The drink corner offers Hakodate milk and the popular Korean lactic acid drink "Katsugen," and the dessert corner includes ingredients in collaboration with Hanabatake Farm. A popular attraction in this paradise-like venue is the "make your own seafood bowl." This is the reason why "La Vista Hakodate Bay" is known for having the best breakfast in Japan. You can eat as much seafood as you want, right in front of you. It's amazing, isn't it? ↑ Grilled dishes (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) ■ Scale Down Due to the Pandemic ■ The dream of putting as much fresh seafood as you want on your seafood bowl was changed to a form where the ingredients were divided into small portions and you could make your own seafood bowl at your seat, to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Although the excitement of taking the ingredients was not there, I was very satisfied as I could take as much as I wanted. I even had two bowls for breakfast. (laughs) I thoroughly enjoyed the "full power breakfast." ↑ Engrossed (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) ↑ Done! That's right. (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) ■ Summary ■ Besides the seafood bowl, there were plenty of delicious ingredients. Especially, the sweets were delicious, so it was a bit of a shame that I couldn't finish them all. When staying at "La Vista Hakodate Bay," I recommend having a light dinner. ↑ This is how I enjoyed it. (EOS_5DMark4+SIGMA35mmF1.4DG_Art) ↑ Desserts are for a separate stomach.
