First, cheers with a beer at "Sakaba Onjin" in the Komagawa Shotengai alley for a meeting with the three old men of Naniwa and Akita on the three-day weekend in July. We started with a toast with beer and enjoyed a platter of sashimi, assorted sushi, and grilled Hyogo-grown sea eel. Of course, delicious fish goes well with Japanese sake, which is priced at a bargain of 330 yen regardless of the brand. We ended the meal with a highball. In addition to fish, there were plenty of other tasty dishes. It was so delicious! Highly satisfied! "Sakaba Onjin" is located at 5-21-3 Komagawa, Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka City, Osaka. After visiting the shrine in Nagahara for a thank-you visit, I planned to visit this restaurant. After seeing reviews indicating a one-hour wait time, I decided to have a beer at Nagahara Station to pass the time. When I arrived at the restaurant at my reserved time, I found it tucked away from the lively shopping street. I ordered bonito, tuna, assorted sashimi, corn tempura, potato salad, and the famous tuna taku. The sashimi was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff and owner were friendly, and I would gladly return even if I had to pay for transportation again.

I was able to make a reservation with a little bit of empty space available!! The staff were all beautiful and I was surprised! The food was also very delicious, and I have come to love Komagawa Nakano. However, it was a short time until the next reservation, so I would like to take my time and enjoy it next time.

Needle Nakano series. Well, it's an area that doesn't come often. I arrived before 3 o'clock and headed to the shop I was aiming for. It's called "Sakaba Onjin," a place that caught my attention because an influencer or YouTuber posted about it on Instagram. Well, I thought it would be empty since it was a random time, but to my surprise, it was full! Can you believe it? Two hours later, I was able to make a reservation for a revisit. The shop is quite small. The space per person is narrow. They didn't have the Junidai that was posted on Instagram, but I wasn't too disappointed as I had expected it to be for promotional purposes. They don't have many premium sake options, but at 330 yen per glass, it's quite reasonable. I enjoyed some lesser-known sake options. The food menu had many items sold out, with about half of what I initially wanted to order being unavailable. The maguro tataki for 390 yen and tako shio goma abura for 390 yen looked delicious. I was able to order most of the sushi options, which ranged from 100 to 150 yen per piece. The organic shrimp for 250 yen was a favorite. Overall, the food was decent, and the prices were very reasonable. We had a good meal and drinks for 7210 yen for three people, which was quite affordable. The staff even went out of their way to return a forgotten phone charger, which was a lifesaver. Truly a savior.

I went to the restaurant because it was said that Osaka's representative sake-drinking YouTuber, Rei Ranran, came on Monday. It was past 4 PM but the place was not too crowded, mainly regular customers or repeat customers. Unfortunately, they were sold out of Juyondai and fatty tuna toro by 2 PM. It seems that the place will get even more crowded due to Rei Ranran's visit. However, the prices are still cheap, so I had 2 glasses of draft beer, 2 glasses of local sake, sea bream sashimi, fatty tuna sushi, mentaiko dashimaki, and octopus with salt and sesame oil, all for almost 3,000 yen. The fish was incredibly fresh as usual, and the dishes made by the chef were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Needle Nakano ~ Early evening drinking at a popular izakaya ~ I had a large bottle of beer and grilled pike conger. On June 5th, I visited "Sakaba Onzin". It's a bit hidden in a back alley and when I arrived around 5 pm, it was almost full with no seats available at the counter. We were seated at a small raised table for two. The handwritten menu had a variety of dishes and drinks. We started with a large bottle of Sapporo Lager "Akahoshi" for 490 yen. For food, we had the morning-caught pike conger grilled with plum paste and spicy vinegar miso, which reminded me of the taste of summer in Kansai, especially Osaka. We also tried the pike conger bone stick for 200 yen, which was crispy and delicious. The pre-drinking session lasted about 30 minutes and it was a great experience. The counter was full of customers coming and going, and I managed to take a picture at the right moment. Although we only had beer this time, they also offer a variety of local sake for 330 yen per glass. The atmosphere and taste were excellent, making it a popular spot to enjoy fish and sake. Had a drink with the great Papua Ootasshi-san at Komagawa!! We discussed plans for some fun activities (laughs). We had a sashimi platter, octopus, and sausages as our usual order. The seared bonito tataki and kawahagi liver were delicious. The seared conger eel was also excellent. We decided on a tour in July during our discussion. I went to Sakaba Onjin, a place I've been curious about for a while. I had made a reservation, so I was able to get in, but it was always full because it's a popular spot. We ordered the following: ○ Kawahagi thin-cut sashimi ◎ Honmaguro sashimi (one per group) ○ Hamachi belly, eel butter ○ Specialty! Honmaguro sushi roll ○ Grilled avocado with mayo and cheese ◎ Tempura corn ○ Unfortunately, the dashi rolled kamatoro was sold out. The beer being Sapporo was great. There were many types of sake listed, like daiginjo and special junmai, but the labeling with J.TJ.JG was quite confusing. It would have been helpful if they at least indicated whether it was sweet or dry. But ordering randomly might also be okay. I'm not sure if it's Instagram-worthy, but the expression on the kawahagi's face was amusing. Thank you for the meal!

The quality is so good that you might think it's the best in Osaka. The lineup of Japanese sake is amazing, you won't find the same quality at this price anywhere else. The quality of the fish is also top-notch. The toro-taku is a must-order. The red wine sausages are also delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant may be a bit chaotic, but if you don't mind that, it's like heaven. Definitely a place to come back to.

Anyway, this place is cheap and delicious. However, it's extremely popular so reservations are a must. I stayed for about an hour and a half, and there were many phone inquiries. Walk-in customers were mostly turned away. It was in the evening, but they open at 2 pm, so many items were sold out. It's recommended to go right when they open. I will definitely be coming back. I really wanted to try the marinated sardines.

I went around 6 pm. I had 2 large bottles of Akahoshi beer, 2 glasses of local sake, thinly sliced raw kawahagi, oden platter, potato salad, and Hermes yakisoba. It's a popular hidden gem in the Komagawa shopping street, so they were constantly receiving reservation calls during my visit. It's a cozy izakaya where you can comfortably go alone or with a friend, as the place is not very big. Tonight's meal was cheap and delicious as always. Thank you for the feast.

A cozy izakaya with great value for money where you can enjoy delicious fish and Japanese sake. On this particular day, they had yellowtail teriyaki for an unbelievable price of 200 yen. They also offer their famous tuna roll for 390 yen and a fluffy eel dashimaki for 490 yen. You can enjoy a cup of local sake for just 330 yen. I went around 6:00 pm. I had a large bottle of Akahoshi beer for 490 yen, a platter of three kinds of sashimi with alcohol for 490 yen, beef tendon stew for 390 yen, Kirinzan local sake for 330 yen, chicken Karaage for 350 yen, and Bakuren local sake for 330 yen. The local sake and bottled beer are cheap, and the dishes are mainly fish, so I go there occasionally. It was delicious today as well. Thank you for the meal.

I came to an izakaya on the outskirts of Komagawa Shotengai. I opened a large bottle of Akahoshi beer (490 yen). The appetizers are also reasonably priced. I ordered grilled sweet long peppers. I personally prefer it if there is something spicy among them, but unfortunately there wasn't this time. I also ordered a natural live rockfish from Saga Prefecture. It was a big one over 50 cm. It's a fighter rockfish from the rocky shore, but over 50 cm, it's the king of the rocky shore! Let's have 3 pieces of sushi. You can tell its size from the size of the cut fish meat. I thoroughly enjoyed the deliciousness of the white fish. I also added 2 pieces of natural flounder from Aomori. Since I missed out on having a flounder bowl in Hachinohe last year, I felt like I was able to have a rematch here. 5-21-3 Komagawa, Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka City.

Needle Nakano, there was a really nice bar for the first time. This is a backlog from the period when I was neglecting updates, from June 2022. Leaving the station and a little off the arcade street is "Sakaba Onjin". Open from 2 pm, perfect for daytime drinking. First, beer, they have Sapporo Lager in bottles, which is great. The draft is the black label, and yeah, Sapporo beer is good. A large bottle costs 490 yen, which is quite cheap compared to prices in Temma and Kyobashi...well, 490 yen is cheap enough. The sashimi is very cheap. The fresh whole sashimi and yellowtail sashimi are both 290 yen, which is a steal. It says "super cheap" on the menu, and it really is. And not only is it cheap, but the quality is high. The freshness and condition are excellent, and the cuts are impressive and the presentation is beautiful. Even at this price, you would be satisfied with a plastic garnish thrown on top, but they do a beautiful job. The sashimi is so wonderful that you have to drink sake. They have a variety of local sake from all over Japan. And, it's not shown in the photo, but each sake is 330 yen. The sashimi is cheap, the sake is cheap, I'm impressed. This place is quite far from my usual stomping grounds, but I want to visit again. It's a charming bar that makes you want to go out of your way to visit.

The thinly sliced liver of the kawahagi (filefish) was excellent. The drinks are also cheap, so I end up drinking too much. The thick and meaty stingray fin is a dish that you can only eat here. It's a shame that the tuna was sold out and I couldn't eat it, but I hope to visit again when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the popular "Sakaba Onjin" in Hananakano for a daytime drinking session on Saturday. The place is known for its affordable and delicious fish and sake. The restaurant is located a 3-minute walk from Hananakano Station on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line, tucked away in a narrow alley off Komagawa Shotengai. The interior has a cozy izakaya atmosphere, with a young male owner and two female staff members. There is an L-shaped counter facing the kitchen, a raised table with mini zabuton, and a few table seats at the back of the restaurant. Since I visited alone, I was seated at the counter which was available. The place opens at 2 pm, and upon arrival at exactly 2 pm, there were already several customers enjoying their drinks. The sake is priced at a uniform rate of 330 yen per glass. I started with a cold beer, followed by a glass of sake. There were 30 different types of sake available, all priced at 330 yen per glass. I tried the "Denshin Harusake Junmai Ginjo" which had a fresh taste and light acidity. It was delicious. The food menu mainly consisted of fish dishes, and I tried various dishes such as Donbo with liver, homemade potato salad, Kawahagi sashimi, whole awabi sashimi, yellowtail and sea bream sashimi, large sardine sashimi, Kamatoro nigiri, and the specialty Honmaguro takumaki. The fish dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the sashimi was particularly delicious. The prices were very reasonable, and the overall experience of enjoying fish and sake at Sakaba Onjin was fantastic.

I stumbled upon this place while exploring Komagawa Shotengai, looking for a place where I could drink alone in the afternoon. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the selection of Japanese sake was amazing. The food was delicious and well-presented, and the prices were great. My only concern was that the place seemed to be full of regular customers, but the regulars were so friendly that they made me feel welcome. This is definitely the best place I've been to recently!

I love this restaurant located a little away from the popular Komagawa shopping street. You can drink and eat here even on weekdays from lunchtime. There are not many places around here where you can enjoy various dishes. On this day, I went with friends in the evening. The shop is small but the friendly and energetic owner welcomed us. I heard that the fish is delicious, so I ordered it right away! As expected, the sashimi was delicious! If they have fatty tuna, I highly recommend ordering it! The rolled omelette was also big and satisfying. We ate and drank until we were full. I was surprised that the bill was cheap. It's not a fancy restaurant, but I found another favorite spot.
