On this day, I went drinking with my friends from Gobacho at Gogozan Pro-Lifter! A while ago, Tarou, a regular at Gobacho, gave us some information about a cool new restaurant that had opened, so we decided to check it out. When we arrived, we were surprised to see Hige-san, another regular at Gobacho, there as well. Since Gobacho was closed that day, many of us Gobacho regulars were there, turning it into a Gobacho refugee camp! Located in Sakuragawa 2-chome, this place was perfect for us Gobacho refugees!
The first floor had a standing bar area and a table area, with different prices for bottled beer:
Standing use → Akahoshi medium bottle 450 yen
Sitting use → Akahoshi medium bottle 550 yen
2nd floor → I didn't see it, but I heard it can accommodate around 20 people.
You could start by ordering a bottle at the standing bar and then move to a table, which was really convenient and flexible. I already liked the place a lot at this point. For food, we chose the following:
- Celery pickles (250 yen)
- Toro Taku Tower (350 yen)
- Eldest Son ~ Sakuragawa 2-chome Potato Salad ~ (350 yen)
- Pork Okonomiyaki (550 yen)
- Chicken and Mushroom Honey Cream Pasta
The celery pickles and Toro Taku Tower were delicious, and the potato salad with pork belly was a great choice. The pork okonomiyaki was meaty and had a rich sauce. Lastly, we tried the cream pasta from the special menu, which was surprisingly authentic and delicious. The pasta texture was great, and the sauce wasn't too heavy.
The owner and the staff were very friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. There were quite a few late-night customers, and by 10:00 PM, the first floor was almost full. But with the spacious 2nd floor, seating shouldn't be a problem. It might be a good idea to call ahead to confirm though!
Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely visit this place again, especially on days when Gobacho is closed. Thank you for the delicious meal! ♥
