"At the izakaya 'Chitomo', I met a regular customer and, after getting to know 'Daiou', I was taken to various places - excuse me! (Thank you for guiding me). From JR Loop Line Shin-Imamiya Station to the south side of Deep South, where Chinese karaoke izakayas are increasing, we were talking about it and then, 'This neighborhood has one too!' So we went to 'Meigetsu'~. However, 'Meigetsu' was indeed managed by 'Daiou' as the first contributor (laughs). When seated, it is a rule to always order one dish of 'otoshi' as a table charge substitute at this restaurant! This is the rule of this place. On the other hand, in Deep South, there is no such rule! Some customers pay only a thousand yen for one drink and a few karaoke songs (laughs). Karaoke is 100 yen per song, and from 1 am to 6 am it is 200 yen per song. You can wait for the first train (laughs). After the opening of Festival Gate in July 1997, to prevent it from becoming a gathering place for the homeless and laborers, many security guards were placed inside and outside the building, pushing them to the south side of the national highway, which helped dispel the suspicious and scary image of the previous Shinsekai and led to the lively atmosphere of the current 'kushikatsu theme park' Shinsekai. By being confined to a narrower area, the deepness has increased even more in the current 'Ailin district'... But I digress. Now, let's see. North and south of the JR Loop Line viaduct, the customer base changes drastically. In the same Chinese-managed karaoke izakaya, with mostly foreign hostesses, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the hostesses' customer service attitude, and the way customers drink are unexpectedly elegant. And the way the bill is handled is also unexpectedly elegant (laughs). With only one Japanese female staff member as our server, we had a fun pub time. (But Daiou is sharp! He accurately estimated the Japanese staff to be around 40 years old and the Chinese mama-san to be in her 30s - impressive!)"

Eiji's Blog Osaka, leave it to us for popular restaurants in Namba, Minami, and Nishinari! All-you-can-eat yakiniku at It's Osaka Tennoji Abeno Lucias store → Nishinari karaoke izakaya Kotobuki → Ebisucho karaoke izakaya Meigetsu. Seeking alcohol, walking from Abeno to Nishinari → Ebisucho, you will be approached with "Hey! Are you ○○?" You often see this person at karaoke izakayas and snack bars in Nishinari. "Oh, ○○, what are you doing here? In a place like this?" "My house is right nearby." "Ah, I see, I'm looking for a place to drink, any good places?" You will be recommended this place. The restaurant is located near Ebisucho Station, heading north towards Nipponbashi Station, where you will find the entrance and exit of the highway, and the Yoshinoya Ebisucho store. Turn left at Yoshinoya and you will find the restaurant on the corner of that building. It's a hidden gem due to its location in the back and the presence of the highway making it hard to see. Of course, being familiar with this area, I knew of its existence, but I had never entered because it seemed a bit suspicious (laughs). Since it was recommended, I decided to give it a try and entered the restaurant! Upon entering, there is a central counter with two table seats. Of course, I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. The dishes were around 400 yen and the drinks were around 500 yen. Well, when you come to this kind of place, you have to order a bottle to get a feel for it. My companion likes Kuro Kirishima, so we ordered Kuro Kirishima (I don't remember if it was 3000 yen or 4000 yen). There was a Japanese woman in her 40s and two Chinese men in their 30s and 20s, but it seemed like the Japanese woman was our attendant. I naturally thought she was the mama, but she wasn't, the mama seemed to be a Chinese woman in her 30s. There were four other customers who were having a great time with the other staff. In the end, we didn't quite click with the atmosphere of this place today and left the restaurant. Overall rating: 5, Food/Taste: 4, Service: 6, Atmosphere: 5, Value for money: 6, Alcohol/Drinks: 5. *Out of 10 points (standard point 5).
