It is not certain if this place still exists, but the first Saizeriya in Hokkaido was in Shin-Sapporo. It feels like a piece of history when you think that Saizeriya in Hokkaido started from this place. Instead of my usual order, I tried the wakame salad, water buffalo mozzarella caprese, and cod roe sauce shirii-style. The wakame salad had more dressing than in the menu photo, showing their generous spirit. You can feel the pioneer spirit here. Even though salads can be boring, I enjoyed it without getting tired thanks to the dressing. The water buffalo mozzarella caprese was great, the cheese was amazing. The satisfaction of the rich and creamy cheese for only 280 yen was impressive. In Italy, water buffalo mozzarella cheese is common, so I was amazed to taste its rich flavor at this price. Many customers were dining alone. It seems like the menu has been reduced, as my favorite salami was no longer available, which was disappointing. However, the prices are still surprisingly cheap. I ordered a small decanter of white wine for 200 yen, which was a good deal. For a light snack, I had the "Mozzarella Caprese" for 280 yen, which was fresh and delicious. As a main dish, I tried the famous "Milanese-style Doria" for 300 yen, which had a rich flavor and a hint of saffron. It was slightly spicy with a touch of chili and hot sauce. I ended up ordering an additional glass of white wine for 100 yen because the small decanter wasn't enough. Despite feeling a bit tipsy, the total cost was still under 1000 yen, making it a great value for money. It was a fantastic dining experience.

Visited the Saizeriya Shin-Sapporo Station Building for the first time on 11/13/2022. I was aware of its existence, but since it is located adjacent to a department store, I always saw it crowded with customers and tended to avoid it. Today, it was raining heavily and by 1 pm, I was feeling very hungry. So, I decided to enter the restaurant. The interior was packed with customers, so I quickly placed my order while looking at the menu. - Chicken Caesar Salad (L) 500 yen: The large size was very generous with plenty of vegetables and crispy chicken, very delicious. - Devil-style Hamburger 500 yen: The minced onions added a nice touch, and the hamburger was juicy and tasty. Mixing the half-cooked egg and hamburger sauce with rice was very satisfying. - Popcorn Shrimp 300 yen: Freshly fried and hot, very tasty. The shrimp was small but well-portioned, and the price was very reasonable. - Cheese-filled Milanese-style Doria 400 yen: Plenty of cheese with a rich flavor. The combination with vegetables was great, and ordering a salad was a good choice. The dishes were served one after another in just about 10 minutes after ordering, which was much faster than expected. All dishes were served in about 20 minutes. We ordered a Kirin Ichiban beer for 400 yen and some snacks like crispy potatoes, spicy chicken, spaghetti pomodoro, and buffalo mozzarella. When we looked at the menu, we were surprised by the prices. Doria for 300 yen, pasta for 500 yen - it was hard to believe these prices in this day and age. I couldn't help but worry if the restaurant was making enough profit with such low prices. We ordered a salad to share, and my partner got pizza and pumpkin soup, while I ordered the crispy chicken. The food was served promptly, and the operation seemed efficient despite the limited number of staff. The quality of the food was decent, considering the prices. The portion sizes were generous, and it was satisfying for adult men. In the end, we ordered all that and it only cost us 1,550 yen, which is cheaper than having ramen. It's amazing that we could get a good amount of vegetables and protein at such a low price. Although we may not visit this restaurant often, it's a great place to fill up your stomach quickly and affordably. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

I had lunch with a friend at Saizeriya. Saizeriya's lunch menu includes 3 types of spaghetti, 3 types of doria, and 3 types of meat dishes, for a total of 9 varieties, all with salad and soup included, for only 500 yen! First, a mini salad is served, and water and soup are self-service. I had the "Tarako and Shrimp Doria," which had turmeric rice with a small amount of shrimp and a bechamel sauce with the flavor of cod roe. It was quite delicious (#^.^#). My friend had the "Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Eggplant." She said she didn't need the eggplant, but still enjoyed it with grated cheese on top. This branch is situated on the 5th floor of the commercial facility Duo I, directly connected to JR Shin-Sapporo Station, Tozai Line Shin-Sapporo Station, and Shin-Sapporo Bus Terminal. The location of the restaurant is right in front of Bikkuri Donkey, through the connecting passage with Duo II. On October 24, 2021, after 4 pm, during a Sunday afternoon drink crawl in Shin-Sapporo Dungeon, the second stop was here at the affordable and convenient Saizeriya. With limited options for drinking establishments during lunch and early evening hours, this time slot is a tricky one for drink crawlers. At Saizeriya, most customers during this time are young people. Upon being seated, the menu was promptly provided by the floor staff with a warm smile. The order was the Saizeriya drinking staple, a decanter of white wine in large size for 400 yen. For snacks, we kept it light with the Spinach Gratin for 400 yen, the Broccoli for 250 yen, and the Grilled Sausages for 450 yen. The sausages were juicy and delicious, pairing well with the wine. The broccoli was surprisingly tender, akin to the level of tenderness found in Zangi Oily Man. The gratin, despite being affordable, was quite tasty. It's nice to visit Saizeriya once in a while.

Even with corona, we had to meet up!! This was actually my third time here. It was a bit early to leave, but the place was decently busy. We wrote our orders on paper, so there was no need to talk to the staff much. Well thought out, right? Cheap, delicious, and the best - that's Saizeriya for you. The Carrot Salad had a hint of acidity and citrus aroma that ignited my appetite. The salad without arugula felt like it lacked some flavor. Next, I tried the Italian-style simmered tripe, which was tender and had no unpleasant smell, with green beans adding a nice touch. Finally, I had the Minestrone Rosso and Spaghetti with Squid Ink. The Minestrone had a sweet taste from the plentiful vegetables, and the Spaghetti was delicious with the squid ink sauce. The pasta was coated well with the sauce at the bottom, enhancing the flavor. The squid was flavorful and the dish justified its popularity since the restaurant's founding. Even after all that, the total price was 1650 yen, and I left satisfied with my lunch. I love this place where you can casually eat and drink from early July. The white wine is quite delicious, and I tend to drink too much of it. The green pea appetizer I tried for the first time was very tasty, and I will definitely order it next time. The tomato stewed with motsu is also excellent, tenderly cooked and perfect for accompanying wine.

New Sapporo Duo 1-5F in December 2020 - A great place to drink cheaply during odd free times. At Saizeriya, there's no need to order appetizers, and they offer a 250ml decanter of white wine for 200 yen. If you have time, getting a "Magnum" is a good deal - a 1500ml bottle for 1100 yen, which is very cheap! You can also take home any leftover wine. The sautéed spinach for 200 yen has a large portion of spinach with a light seasoning of pancetta. Sprinkle some red pepper to enhance the flavor. The popcorn shrimp for 300 yen consists of 9 bite-sized pieces that are crispy on the outside and juicy inside. With a total bill of 700 yen, depending on your selection, you can seriously get drunk on a budget. Thank you for the meal!

I leisurely enjoy dipping the hot escargot in the leftover oil with focaccia. The pizza was split in half. Maybe because of the alcohol, even though it was a thin and light pizza, it felt satisfying in the stomach. It was just the right amount for the two of us. I had the impression that it would be noisy with students coming back from school at this time, but according to my daughter, they tend to flock to other food court options, so Saizeriya is usually quiet.
