I tried to go to Yamaki-san for two days in a row, but it was closed both times. On the first day, I went to a different restaurant, but on the second day, I decided to try the restaurant next to Yamaki-san. Luckily, there was no line today! I started with a highball and looked at the menu full of grilled dishes on the wall. I was unsure of what to order, but when asked by the staff what I wanted, I inquired about the popular dish, which turned out to be mixed hormone. So, I ordered that. They asked if I wanted garlic, and I requested a little bit. The exchange felt like something out of a Jiro-style ramen shop! The hormone dish came out cooked in a sweet sauce, with minced garlic on the side. I tried a bite as is, and it was delicious! The hormone was tender, the sauce was tasty, it was perfect! Eating it with the garlic was also great! Sprinkling some shichimi on top made it even better! Wow, this is amazing! It goes so well with the drinks! When I arrived, there was no line, but before I knew it, the standing bar was almost full! I know it's best to eat quickly and leave at these kinds of places, but I wanted to enjoy one more dish! So, I followed the order of the person next to me and added liver to my meal. The liver was cooked in the same sauce as the mixed hormone. The texture of the liver was something I had never experienced before, it was hard to describe. It was cooked through but not mushy. It didn't give me the same level of excitement as the mixed hormone did. Even though Yamaki-san was closed, I left fully satisfied! Osaka 2nd day Today, I finished shopping in the morning at an electronics store and a home center, and now I'm heading to the deep zone of Osaka! I will be driving there.
